Try and get bracket inside to equal zero so that’s basically (x-23) that would have a solution/asymptote/hole at 23

I have a question!
Why didnt u use the (x+3) at the top for the VA?
*sorry if it’s a stupid question I’m just a curious 12yr old
1. VA is always the value that makes the denominator zero after you simplify and divide out holes.
2. If we used x+3 and set it to 0, x=-3 doesn't affect the denominator.

Okej but I don't understand
If we are searching for 0 why by can't do x2-9=0 the score is equal to 3 and the bottom part we can calculate by ∆
