Big tiles have a lot of benefits:

- A lot more waste created for most projects
- Cumbersome to cut

You don't necessarily have to go out and buy or rent an expensive tile saw...

Thousands of PLM clips installed....never had one break. I used a different brand one time, had all kinds of them break

Those 24x48 tiles come in vertical or horizontal slat patterns. For less waste and fewer cuts, I recommend vertical orientation (slats run 48”)! Saves you huge amount of $$$ for less waste. Make sure you buy the right tile for the job.

Just installed the 15”x48” version of that tile. But as you said the waste …..was about 30% in this job

This tiles mimics as if it was made out of wood slats. Now, did each one of those "slats" match from one tile to another creating a perfect line from floor to ceiling or there was a deviation? Hope I explained my self here so one can understand. 🤣

The grout line is straight up middle. It creates a lot of waste that way, but I don’t think you can stagger and be successful with lining them up evenly enough

thanks for all the great videos, really great tips for planning and executing. would doing the curb first hide the grout when the wall tiles come down vs butting up the curb tiles to walls? thanks so much

For sure 👍 just a bit more cumbersome to cut a big tile like this perfectly around it. Plus it can slow down the project if you do the curb first. Can’t tell you how many times Ive accidentally stepped on a freshly done curb while trying to tile walls 😆
