This is the most adorable little elephant, and your tutorial was so sweet and informative. It’s easy to tell how much your love this little stuffy. Your tips and tricks were wonderfully executed and explained beautifully. Thank you so much.
I replaced the lining in the body with soft fusible interfacing and also added a layer of the same to the ears. That worked very well and saved some work. Thank you very much for the template. My little elephant is very very cute.
thank you for your unselfish kindness in sharing this pattern and tutorial. I am new to sewing and I am hand sewing first.I have been scanning Pinterest for days getting caught out with the so called " free " patterns. ha! no such thing.they all want something.you are what sharing is all about.don't ever change.
Thank you! I believe you’re in the top 3 women that have actually put directions in lamens turns❤️…. My mom’s been sewing since she was 9 & she says: “ idk how to explain it, you just do it”….. my mums about to have her 1st grandchild right soon, and you’ve helped me so incredibly much!! I’ve been practicing the Satin stitch for the eye.. thank you for your extra care of explaining ! 2.5 w is is til birth…… just been told she prefers Rabbits (bc of yr.) I don’t suppose you have any previous videos? I just bought so much Gorgeous Fabric❤️
Try using forceps to pull the trunk through, and also to fill the trunk and feet area. It's a lot easier to fill stuffed projects using forceps. I use them all the time now.
This is just soooo cute 😊! Lots of good tips here ! Will be saving this to make for future baby showers when I know it’s a girl. Do you have thing for baby boys? Like Dino’s ? What else could be possible? Thanks!
Any simple shape is possible. I remember my mum making loads of simple soft toys for my school fete and they were things like a cat, dog, giraffe. I have done a dinosaur taggy on our other channel - ua-cam.com/video/0ndjUwaWLwo/v-deo.html hope this helps, c x
Thank you Corrine ! I watched the video , some many nuggets of tips given while sewing the Dino ! Thank you for the free pattern and the sewing tips ! I going to binge watch that channel over the weekend . You are extremely creative!🤩🤩 I truly appreciate your help 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you !!
Mine turned out much smaller even after enlarging the JPEG to fit a letter sized page. That made the trunk incredibly fussy! I’ve made two so far...accidentally stitched too much of the ears down on the second one. I’d love to try it in a slightly larger size if I can figure out how to scale it up!
Sorry it's not printing out right - and extra apologies for the trunk, I feel your pain... I'm not computer savvy enough to see what's wrong with the pdf and as we're all working from home I can't just pop into the next office to sort it out sadly. If all else fails you could try the old grid mark enlarging technique? Draw a 1/2" grid on the template, draw a 1" grid on clean paper, replicate the curves from the template onto the bigger grid, c x
You can, but I've found it quicker to bind the edges together rather than wait for glue to dry. Also fusible adhesive sheet sometimes makes the fabric seem a bit stiff, c x
Are you able to download it from here - www.sewmag.co.uk/images/uploads/templates/Elephant.pdf I'm not sure why you're having problems, did the link ask you to sign up? It's free and you can get loads of other free patterns once you do. The demos are connected to several magazines in the UK - Sew, Crafts Beautiful, Papercrafter etc and once you've signed up to one I think you can use the same log in on all the others, c x
Oh lovely, just found this lovely tutorial. I will make it tomorrow for my little Granddaughter.
I just love this little elephant. I am going to make one to give with the baby quilt I will make for the baby shower. Thank you.

That tip with the flannelette sheet interlining is an excellent idea. Thanks a million!
It makes such a difference to the finish. Now I just have to wait for the charity shops to open up again so I can find some more old sheets! c x

@@TheCraftsChannel I figured it out! Can't wait to make another. Thank you for ALL of your incredible videos. I enjoy watching you work!
@@carollee5522 Thank *you* for watching! Glad you got it fixed, c x
❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️
You could glue it with school glue or use bondaweb rather than sew on the lining
You can, but I've found it quicker to bind the edges together rather than wait for glue to dry. Also fusible adhesive sheet sometimes makes the fabric seem a bit stiff, c x
Oh dear, for some reason I can't seem to download it 🙄

@@TheCraftsChannel oh thank you, this worked.
It was very strange, It went to a black page... there was no sign up or in.
Thank you so much
For hitea fa i ; are you able to use sheet fabric or oillowcase.
If you mean for the fabric under the patterned material a sheet or pillowcase would be fine, c x
Where is it pattern? I dont see a description?
