Was looking for an answer to the question "how to plot on couple maschines" today, you answered me 3 weeks ago, thanks. Also for plots in paralell, seems like you got a similar pc to mine, i make ~12 plots a day on my pc, same delay, but you dont have to set 6-8 plots..." Queued Farm" doesnt use any of your resources only those that are inbetween 0%-100%. Just set max and dont bother for 3 days if you have the space available. My processor is 12 threads, only 2 plots at same time are in phase 1 ( 0-30%) thats when you need the most threads, i set em (each plot to plant in pararell to use 4 threads, but only those in phase 1 use 4 threads) on 4 each, then i have 4 free and at the same time i have always 2 plots in phase 2-4 which dont need that much of cpu so theres 4 threads free for them. Also increasing RAM usage per plot does matter, run 1 plot on xx settings with default ram, then make 1 plot on same settings but with 4500 MB RAM. With external SSD just destry the case, inside is a ordinary HDD, put it in your pc, connect SATA cable and power cable, if you ran out of sata slots for memory (usually 4) buy PCIE > SATA card 20-30$ and you can connect additiona 4-6 HDD per card, with 3-6 PCIE slots free...
Thanx for your help and guidance, need to get 2 questions answered. 1- what if power outage happens, will it starts farming /plotting again or will continue where it left? 2- as iam using 80 TB of hdd, what if full hdd is used, can we reuse that HDD LATER? Thank you in advance
The thing with doing the delay that no one talks about is that as more and more plots start up your overall finish time get's bigger, so you may set your delay for X plot but after half a day you realize that your pc is slowing down or bottlenecking to try and keep up with all the plots and now you are basically in a snow ball effect, your gonna just run out resources or space on your nvme/ssd. you almost have to hit your bottleneck time, for me doing 1 plot alone takes 5.2 hours but doing 3/4 plots at a time it takes 7.5 hours per plot you see, so figuring out your delay im telling you its gonna take a lot of trial and error, i tried 90 minutes but with my current setup its to short of a delay once the plots start rolling, im now at 110 minutes and its alot better but starting to bunch up again.
if they had a system that would monitor your system and available resources and you could do like a live stagger that once your next stagger is about to kick in, it checks all your hardware ssd space/ ram/ cpu use and will decide if its a good time to release the next plot or hold it a little longer.
Thank you for this. I also have found that if I did a miscalculation of my temp drive space and attempt to delete one of the in-process temporary plots (to free some space while plotting), it gives me a message that it's "Connecting to Wallet". It never actually makes the connection then I have to close down the app, losing all of the plots I was working on. This has happened to me a couple times over the last couple of week and led to much frustration. There may be a bug in the software while removing the plots - not completely sure. Anyone else have this happen?
This is the reason I go with queues instead of parallel. The time only applies for the first two plots as each one comes out of queue it will start to bog down and the next queue will start and using the entire systems resources
I thought that phase 1 took the most resources. If thats the case then check your logs and average the time phase 1 takes to complete, then set that as your wait time when parallel plotting
i just have multiple ques running the whole parallel thing was causing problems for me (i don't even stagger them anymore and if one hits a bottle neck it'll just go slower and the next time it'll have already been delayed)
On my 3900X 12 cores 24 threads CPU and 64GB RAM, I can safely & consistently do 16 plots in parallel a day using my NAS 10Gbit connection. Waiting for my Intel enterprise SSD to arrive on May 23 & three more 18TB HHDs 😁

Hi sir, can u also guide us on how much time it take to plot and then farm chia ? Also plotting n farming does it both work simultaneously.. or once plotting done then u have to start farming.. how much total time it take to get the chia coins..?
The time to plot depends entirely on your hardware (the disk [hdd, sata-ssd, nvme-ssd], RAM, CPU power and cores), the network difficulty (32 blocks per 10 minutes, so the more people are plotting the longer it takes) and the way you off-load it. Plotting and Farming can happen simultaneously. Once a plot is complete it starts farming, and you can farm new plots whilst the old ones are being farmed. Total time is impossible to say. Gaining chia is basically a game of probability and a game of chance. As such, it depends on the current network size and the amount of plots you have.
Wanted to ask if you tried to go into power management and for your USB externals there is a USB option to keep them on all the time. What will matter most is the delay. You could probably pull off the same exact settings I have. But I would recommend to first run just 1 plot and extract the time it takes for the first phase, then calculate ram dividing it by let's say 5, 6 or so plots to be run in parallel
Plotting is mostly a chain. You will plot as slow as the weakest link. Most likely, your weakest link will be your plotting (not farming) drive. A 1TB fast SSD in a M.2 form factor and an old i5 processor with 6 cores/6 threads does 3 plots in parallel with about a 120 - 160 minutes delay. RAM is pretty much fixed at about 3.5GB per plot. Why would u have different keys in both your plotters ? U create one wallet and import the wallet in the other plotters / farmers with the mnemonic.... this is obvious how did u mess that up ?:P
You need 256gb atleast and even if you filled up your 1tb you would "maybe" win in a couple of years. So basically nothing a day. If you want to earn a certain amount every day then wait for pools that pay every few hours
The 1tb hdd is fine to fill with 10 orso plots, but you need at least 256gb of *free* space on your ssd to make a plot (total end size is just 101.4 GiB or 104gb. So your SSD is simply to smal to plot Chia, I am afraid.
Good luck with plotting! With only 500gb SSD (assuming it is your main drive) you will likely do single plots, and not plot in parallel, but that 12TB hdd can easily hold 110 to 120 Plots.
@@codydicarlo4518 if you plan to do those plots in parallel then yes, it is going to set you back. 3390 MiB (note _MiB_ not _MB_ ) is the minimum, with doubling it to 6780MiB recommended for fast plotting. I would recommend upgrading your laptop RAM, if possible, to 16GB. Otherwise you won't be able to properly utilize the 2TB plotting power of that SSD.
Wrong on the threads.... Hey, I'm adding drive by drive as I go - might make a video shortly
Thank you for your video, I have question, if I have 20 to hdd how many plots I have to create please?
20tb? You could fill it to 200 plots at least, it will take time to plot it to that number though
How do I synchronize my wallet? there is no syn?
ty 4 info!
How many GB hdd required for 1 chia network manning
my node have been syncing for 3 days, its now at 269k/270k , will it need alot more?
hello man.I would appreciate if you answer my question. 31% is waiting a long time while creating plot.
You can click on the three dots by the plot ND check the log to see if it is still plotting or if it crashed
How long does it take to sync? My PC syncing for about 10 Minutes now?
It takes a few hours. Best leave it overnight 👌
@@thegamedr3359 thx mate, its running day and night with GPU Mining and now with Chia. 😁
sounds like your ext hdd is busted, maybe try another cable or try clean the connectors
Mistake 1- mine chia. It's a centralize project and almost seems like scam. Did you got any reward at all? I have zero! Even with 40tb
Good tips, thanks.
What is the best plots counts for 2TB external ssd on M1 Mac with 16GB ram? And anyone know how many core does m1 has hahah
4 plots parallel as each plot willl consume almost 4gb of RAM
Why would u have different keys in both your plotters ? U create one wallet and import the wallet in the other plotters / farmers with the mnemonic.... this is obvious how did u mess that up ?:P
how do u off upnp mac?
I have 120gb ssd, 1tb hdd.. Can I do this and what will be revenue with this of one day in usd???
You need 256gb atleast and even if you filled up your 1tb you would "maybe" win in a couple of years. So basically nothing a day. If you want to earn a certain amount every day then wait for pools that pay every few hours
The 1tb hdd is fine to fill with 10 orso plots, but you need at least 256gb of *free* space on your ssd to make a plot (total end size is just 101.4 GiB or 104gb.
So your SSD is simply to smal to plot Chia, I am afraid.
I actually turned off the setting where it disables usb power to external hdd
How can i sell my plots ?
Mistake #2 stacking harddrives like that
How many gb internet wanted in 1 month
Youre first mistake: not a mistake, just import your key from the other system!
@Braylon Brennan What is flixzone?
How exactly do you export it? Ive been just typing in the seed across machines
Did you get any coins yet?
Is it worth to keep my baby farm online ? I have only like 500GB .. 2 SSD´s each 480GB
Ill be honest, absolutely not
All you have to do is transfer the private key to be able to use the plots you plotted on another system.
But the plots need to be moved. I tried it and its not that you plot on two machines the plots are add together in the overview.

Hey I got 8gigs of ram, 500gig ssd, and a 12tb external harddrive, could this do anything?
Yeah for sure - could plot at least 120 plots
@@bytemaker thanks o got it up and going last night, also switching a desktop I got over to plotting
Good luck with plotting!
With only 500gb SSD (assuming it is your main drive) you will likely do single plots, and not plot in parallel, but that 12TB hdd can easily hold 110 to 120 Plots.
@@CarthagoMike I got a 2 tb external ssd, im using a laptop, is ram gunna set me back from doing multiple plots?
@@codydicarlo4518 if you plan to do those plots in parallel then yes, it is going to set you back. 3390 MiB (note _MiB_ not _MB_ ) is the minimum, with doubling it to 6780MiB recommended for fast plotting.
I would recommend upgrading your laptop RAM, if possible, to 16GB. Otherwise you won't be able to properly utilize the 2TB plotting power of that SSD.
Thank you so much ♥️
How do i get my Wallet synced ? it keep saying not Synced.
Same... Figured it out?
His monitors are vertical, he has to keep it consistent yk
Yah, no on the vertical video man.
He's using GUI to plot, this video is of no use to me...
USE THE COMMAND LINE, NOT THE GUI ....
allready not profitable anymore...runs away to fast
1 plot = 1 xch
Wrong on the threads.... I do 6 plots at a time, all with -r 12 -b 3389 on a Ryzen 5800x ... 2 at the same time, then after they finish phase1, I start the next two, and then the same thing for the 3rd set.
Set -2 = -d as well, and then use a separate process to copy plot to final directory for your farmer to farm them.
When phase 2 hits, and phase 3 & 4, it goes to single threaded operations. Also, as each phase moves along, less RAM is required too.
could u be more specific about the separeted process like how to set it up
