It is said, calling one by name affirms respect and attention. It also implies an effort to relate to the heart. I was against it, but in a professional setup, it works. In the background she puts a title before her name and with respect.
Yooh umthathaphi?uphumaphi lowo mama People died under her watch nomether she was not a Police person but she was on a payroll and she benefited frm SAPS
Mama Riah she is speaking the truth she never commanded the tragedy she is a politician, the person who knows is the General who was I charged in that province of North West
Riah Phiyega was very much ill treated and made a scapegoat for the Marikana crimes of Jacob Zuma, Nathi Mthethwa and to a small extent Cyril Ramaphosa.
@@RastaAfricanGentleman he was not in government back then. He was just a private person. Zuma (public person as a president), Mthethwa (public person as a police minister) and the SAPS (public police which carried out the shooting).
@@SimphiweNgcece He was the member of the ANC NEC in 2012 of which made him Deputy President of the ANC in the same year. Being in leadership of any political party, you become a public person. This is how a Lomnin Non-executive Board Member managed to directly contact Mam Riah Phiyega and influence her to act with haste on their Marikana strike issue. Non private person has the power to do that, not even our Stellenbosch boys have done that in their private capacity
@@RastaAfricanGentleman I beg to differ. A member of a political party is not a government or a public person. That statement alone kills your further argument. Please go verify it.
@@SimphiweNgcece the debate is based on the "exclusion" it is not based on you being wrong or right, just trying to clarify before I misunderstood on my engagements. Anyways as asked, I have verified what I already know. We were unfortunately amongst the Cosatu people that were mobilised by our Unions to drive for the election of Cyril Ramaphosa as Deputy President of the ANC when we met in our General Meeting so that he can be positioned to be President of the ANC and ultimately the country as a former Unionist. Sadly that backfired. The minutes are available online for the public to see. Anyways here is a definition of a public person: Public Person means a state politician, a judge, a state or municipal official, a head of a political party and/or association, who constantly participates in state or public activities because of the office held or the character of his work, or any other person, provided that he has public administration powers or administers provision of public services, or if his permanent activities have significance for public affairs.
It has become a norm to call elders by name with no title whatsoever

Why small extent when it comes to Ramaphosa? All were equally guilty with Zuma and Mthethwa
