I built this radio but I am having trouble visualizing how the diodes actually work. Not seeing how they keep the negative half of the wave and eliminate the positive since one of them appears to be reversed. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for doing this series. The book only gives a "taste" of how the circuits work but your in-depth review really helps!!
I noticed that “error”. The trouble is that with this kind of detector the alignment can get tricky, so it’s a fair explanation not warranting beat up comments.
The "pulse detection method" of FM demodulation seems to me to be the easiest to understand and even to build, with no coils required, but with still decent fidelity.

Thanks for the feedback and the support. I fixed it because I feel that if you put info out, do your damndest to make sure it's right.
