You do not go forth, O God, with our armies. 11 Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! 12 With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes. which bible version used for this psalm?
I used a a metrical setting from "Sing Psalms", which pulled from various translations to develop their lyrical setting. The original text was sung directly, word for word, but when translated into English, the structure of each line changed and made them "less singable". Lyrical settings that capture the content of the original Psalm text and intent of the psalmist are such a blessing!

@@andreasandefur , Wonderful! I have no church but God led me to study and Reformation and step by step to Calvin and Viret and am reading all the commentaries and sermons I can. I love them! So each Lord's Day I read one psalm commentary and then reread that psalm each morning and just this week decided to listen to and learn the psalter version of that psalm too. Couldn't find 60 but came across yours and I just love it!
