hell yea me too, that intro to mk3 was my favorite; the perfect track blended with cybernetic ninja cyrax running into a combo on sheeva, music to my ears. Was a fan since 1 genesis port, 3 blew me away though... the level changes, the new pits & characters, the brutalities & animalities, combat codes, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, and playable bossess with the extensions, the soundtrack for 3 was insane, this clip is edited slightly.....

when MK first came out in arcades in 92' Street Fighter 2 was an unstoppable fighting game juggernaut. It was king of hill. I really couldn't see any game competing against it. Till MK came out. It looked so different than any other game out there, it was digital. It had "KILLER" combos and when we started figuring out fatalities it was all over. MK was a phenomenon back in the arcade days. then MK 2 came out. OH my god. It was the most popular arcade ever. Those were the days.

If MK was made by japanese devs the franchise would be very different. It'd be toned way down, less to no blood or gore, no fatalities, anime-fied and like any other Japanese fighting game. What makes it unique is that it has all those asian fighting nuances but interpreted through a western mindset.

I think the original 3 still look the best. Once it went 3D from 4 onwards it looked a bit to cartoony less realistic to me.
