My parents told me never to drive a truck so I went to college but still had a desire to drive. Took me almost 9 years to just say screw it, got a Class-A CDL and been driving over a decade, best thing I ever did and I love it. The college degree sits in a filing box at home.
Sounds similar to my story. Maybe you’re my long lost brother. I got my CDL 6-7 years after my BS. My college diploma is still at the University collecting dust; I never picked it up after graduation 😂. Biggest waste of time and money. I love the freedom of the road.
Spent my entire life in rigs. My grandfathers on both sides drove, my uncle, my dad has 37 years and counting, my oldest brother 10 years and counting, I have 7 and counting, my moms mom drove for awhile. I spent a year in the Navy until I was discharged, had an opportunity to go to college, and said "F#@$ that, I'm going trucking". Just applied for my own authority, and bought my second truck a year ago. I DO NOT REGRET A THING!
Its a good career and money can be made...biggest mistake people make is treating it like a 9-5. It aint. Its a lifestyle and thats it. If you live it, you can make it work. Its been a good career for me. Hard work gets that “honest” paper log money lol
I'm not a truck driver. I'm not country. I'm not blue collar. But I like badass songs. This is on top of my list. I served in the US military, enjoy freedom, and respect an honest day's pay. Other fav songs.. hard-working man (Brooks & Dunn) and working man Rush).
Right now I drive a 20+ year old truck after driving 2015 kw t680s an a 2016 freightshaker cascadia all manuals an ok but this old truck I'm driving I don't wanna give it up.
🇺🇸This video is actually what led me to your site which made me subscribe!! Badass large cars bad ass song bad ass video keep up the great work!!!🇺🇸. America!
Go one step futher, i lived it, wasnt nothin to load at dinner time Sunday and walk'em off Monday morning somewhere in Nebraska or Colorado at a feed lot, turn and burn just to do it again
This song reminds me of my old school friends. Hank mcclusky drives an old peterbilt 379 with a giant moter. I've seen him get into a fight with 4 other truck drivers. Walk away with out a scratch. Almost sent the other 5 to the hospital. Rip hank.
What logbooks lol. I ran local for a year will be getting into it again in June when I turn 21. I'd always flip off the scales. Rarely stopped at them. Local you don't need logbooks
It's nice to see a bunch of these 90's models back on the roads as the crap the government is forcing on the newer models makes it hard to pay the bills. The guys I haul cement with all drive Petes and KW's form 2006 and earlier.
When i go back to driving my daughter will just graduate, and imma teach her to drive. Just outta school, no college debt, and rippin straight out the gate with a cdl callin her own shots!
In my case I still got my 89 pete I bought brand new when I started runnin. 3 million miles, 2 transmissions 1 engine and a hell of a lot of blood sweat and tears later the old girl is holding strong and making the money
Lol, I've ran these roads and only come across a few true out laws. Most those guys who have a hood ain't no cowboy! When u see ol bessy here run past ya. Try to keep up! Hat tip to the true outlaws!
'96 KW W900L with a 346E CAT swap and a 5 foot stretch 320inch wheelbase. Mainly show truck but I use it to haul my showcars to shows and sometimes even register it lol.
The couple that have that extended hood maroon Mack a nice couple with a beautiful truck. I was hopeful they came back the next year but allot didn't come back:-(
Truckers are the way ..Thanks to you for keeping American rolling even if our Government aint doing anything to help ….JUST messing things up day by day ..Especially here in California :-(
Wow those rigs with the super long frames are beautiful....what does the long frame do make it handle better I know the turning radius is bigger other then that idk
I have been one of a dieing breed for a long time the owner operators are probably on the way out but we are the last of the real outlaws and I am proud to be one
To quote Tony Justice "Keep this country rolling, we're damn proud of what we do!" Keep the hammer down truckers, some of us still respect and support you.
We can do it for 3 week where nothing gets shipped then maybe they will get the message That we are fed up 3 week would hurt us but the elogs are killing us
Yeah you know that's right used to truckers with all stick together nowadays they don't the small guys the owner operators probably would but them company Fleet drivers out of them schools and she said they don't even know about the old days they don't even know what they're missing you know that me logs and all that s***'s killing them the truck said it's 65 mile-an-hour they're losing 77 miles a day that they could be driving if they're getting $0.40 a mile that's $28 a day $280 every 10 days almost $1,000 a month that they're missing then they don't even know it
I'm in. Don't wanna piss off the general public, tho. Don't protest. Don't slow traffic. Just evaporate from an area. "Breaking news: mass protests and rioting spreads across Los Angeles over shortages caused by truckers refuse to serve the area for 3 days." I can hear it now.
@Shane Gunter I have thought about it and I think if e everyone did it which they won't . Any more than,, 3 days it would hurt the country. I ant for that .. but I am from coal country and I have thought about it
Now would be a great time to tell the government to shove the Elogs. The E-Logs need to catch the covid-19 virus. Let the truckers run old school. Triple logs, black smoke, black coffee, and hammer down.
it was the triple logs and other reasons that brought on the Elogs. You can run legal and still get the job done. Get rid of the 30 minute break and the 14 hour clock and it would make it simpler. There are changes to both of those coming later in the year.
It's a crying shame what's become of trucking. Use to be able to make money hand over first. Runn'n gunning and gett'n paid on the turn. There where lessons trucks on the road, freight prices paid a man what he was worth and could make a decent living while having a blast out there all cowboyed up .
That Pete you see the grey and red it Coga (1:45) the truck is famous to win many truck pull and if you would like to see more youtube "rodeo du camion" or truck rodeo Notre dame du Nord the event been there for 40 years many good race could be see...............F**king great song ...love it
You dont crap in the big dogs yard lmao, i was like damn this song sounds badass then i heard that and i was like fuck another one of those song everyone laughs at when they hear it
Michael Caralluzzo there is no real purpose, on some flatbed operations the space between units was used to load long cargo such as pipe or lumber extending over the front of the trailer. In the old days out on the west coast the extra length allowed more weight to be hauled because of hingkey bridge laws before the Transportation Act of 1980 created national standards. In the east length laws dictated short tractors and cabovers to be legal. Now it's only to look cool as trying use things like you saw on the video to actually pull trailers would be extremely unhandy. Hope that helps.
here's to some badass mothers, those boys pulling oranges coast to coast, and the crazy mothers, pulling christmas trees to la... racing the ice, in the trailer. the cattle haulers, and bee haulers... the crazy overweight boys running beer. the guys running cabbage, and i84 in the fog, the crazy bastards running lookout empty in 100 mph winds. man boys thanks for all you do.. and this is from one of your own...

Yeah my dad in a semi hits the sleeper and he went clear down to California in a peterbilt
Sounds similar to my story. Maybe you’re my long lost brother. I got my CDL 6-7 years after my BS. My college diploma is still at the University collecting dust; I never picked it up after graduation 😂. Biggest waste of time and money. I love the freedom of the road.
