The Christopher Ward you chose is a great choice, but I would also argue that damn near everything in their current collection falls into this category. Ridiculously good finishing at their price points.
Frederique Constant truly do offer fantastic quality and finishing at every price point - my dad has an entry level FC dress watch that easily matches my Tudor for finish
The FC World Timer is one of the best looking watches I’ve seen at that price point. They pack in a lot of value into each watch. I think they deserve more recognition.
Got Sharp Edged on my vacation in Japan for 110,000 yen, around 680 euro. Couldn't be more happier as commemorating the trip to Japan, which I have dreamed of for about 35 years
Nice findings indeed! Just recently saw the Longines in person and it really is a beautiful thing and a joy for thos who lean towards vintage inspired designs
I just purchased a Christopher Ward "12" with an integrated bracelet. $1200+tax. As with the watch in this video, the finishing is excellent, and the bracelet is one of the best in my collection. Very comfortable.
I sure wish Orient wasn’t called Orient. I love most of their watches. I have a feeling that if they changed the name, they’d raise their prices. Either scenario, I cannot bring myself to buy one
Watchfinder, still featuring the same Microbrands as 3 years ago. :D What about Helm, Zelos, Traska, Circula, Heinrich, Borealis, Helson, Aquatico, Phoibos etc.?
Citizen NB1060 series has great finishing, I don't have any watches from the NB1050 but it looks to be of similar level. Casio Oceanus and Japanese microbrand called Knot has sallaz finishing. They are finished apparently at the same factory where GS are assembled.
I have a Frédérique constant Art of Porcelain in stainless, 1 of 181 made. Hand made porcelain dial, classic Roman numeral dial, coin edge. Really nice and rare for what I paid for it…
Wow. Lots of great picks! I was shocked to see the Spinnaker to start it off. It’s a watch I’ve had for a few years and never, ever wear. It’s just a little too big for my wrist, but it is a nice looking watch. I have 5 Grand Seiko’s and that Seiko Sharp Edge looks as good or better and keeps drawing my attention, but I can’t decide which color I like best. As a result, I still haven’t got one. Great video.
On the NOMOS, it is just plain ugly (and inconsistent) with its combination of Arabic and Roman hour markers, would have been a great watch with just one of those (probably best looking with an Arabic 4 and 8...)
Congrats to Furlan Marri for now being a credible brand in the watch crowd. But I find it hilarious that Furlan is now caught at its own game with the sub €100 Pagani Design , Mecaquartz fitted Tasti Tondi homages. I bought one, the finishing is acceptable and it looks a million dollars.
I watched this video last night, and as a result, I ordered the Spinnaker at the discount price. Now I am not so sure about the 15mm thickness that was not mentioned in this video.
Fine vid Boys! Andrew…you are wonderful in your back & forth with Tom. And Tom, you are as real as real gets :-)! So count me in on daily eyeballs on screen when Watchfinder pops up in my feed. Y’all are a superb team and this was a superb vid! I thank you both from Houston!
Love also my Longines Spirit Heritage: fantastic quality for the price! However, I think that it is onlyvthe steel version of the Longines 190th anniversary that is sold at 2250 euros. The rose gold limited edition has à price tag exceeding 11000 euros
Colin Chapman famously said "simplify and add lightness" when desribing the design ethos of his Lotus cars. NOMOS is "simplify, and add execution". Just something about their design and finishing that punches two to three levels about their price range.
I love the Club. I had the original, but the dial color didn’t click with me. Picked up the Absolute Grey and it’s now one of my most worn watches. I’ll probably get another. It’s the only watch I have where I would get another just because of the dial. It’s just the perfect watch for me.
Great video. The Orient Star RE-AU0006 is sorely missing from this list. For a £600 watch i dont think ive seen a finish more reminiscient of Grand Seiko, complete with zaratsu polishing.
Love the NOMOS....but! The combo of Arabic and Roman numerals on the dial drive me bonkers. Sigh. Gentlemen - what are your thoughts about the low cost of entry vs the maintenance costs for these and other less expensive mechanical watches?
I recently bought a Direnzo DRZ04 . very impressed with the quality at the price point. Lots of these are same o same O go to low hanging fruit.. Perhaps need to push the envelope some IMHO
You can easily find Seiko sharp edgeds at discount, hell I managed to grab the 2023 limited purple dial sharp edged akebono new for about 650 usd (non GMT version)
Everyone loves a good finish, (or a happy ending for that matter). Please take a look at the Smiths Everest, its a belter for £345. I know its a bit of a homage but I love it. Happy to send mine in for a butchers if you cant get hold of one. 🎃
The Christopher Ward you chose is a great choice, but I would also argue that damn near everything in their current collection falls into this category. Ridiculously good finishing at their price points.
Almost all of CW's sports watches use the same case design and handset, so I'd expect nothing less.

FC is most underrated watch ever... They make some realy nice gems

I love Nomos at the price point !
Sold the club campus but sometimes I still remember of it
I heard that they get magnetised easily, did it happen to you?
The only brand you covered that I own is Christopher Ward. What a great bargain. Just ordered the Luna model today!
Nice findings indeed! Just recently saw the Longines in person and it really is a beautiful thing and a joy for thos who lean towards vintage inspired designs

I want that so bad, it looks amazing
just bcos you own the watch, does not mean it's the best - just to make yourself happy

Wish you'd included "where to purchase" links. ☹
That Longines is absolutely beautiful, also the spinnaker, CW and Nomos.
I love my Nomos Club. I got the sapphire back, so I can fully appreciate the gorgeous finishing on the movement.
Congrats to Furlan Marri for now being a credible brand in the watch crowd.

Furlan nearly at wanker high end expensive copy status
Thanks to you guys I just ordered the CW C63 in Hunter Green! Looks amazing! Maybe add the Farer and Nomus to the collection later?!
great video content and execution.Probably my favorite on this type of videos.Thank you for putting it together.😊
Awesome video. My favorites are the Christopher Ward, the Seiko, and the Frédérique Constant.
I watched this video last night, and as a result, I ordered the Spinnaker at the discount price. Now I am not so sure about the 15mm thickness that was not mentioned in this video.
15mm is a ridiculous size
The Longines is a stunner.
I think the Casio Oceanus S100 is amazing for 500 bucks
“Concentric Knurling” is the name of my new album.
San Martin, Seiko movement for reliability great finishing.

Second Hour would've been a great inclusion. The mandala is to die for

The Christopher Ward was damn amazing..so desirable .. every timepiece described nicely here..
Love that spinnaker bracelet
Nomos is pure understatement.
Not really lol
@@appleratpipeand a bit boring. Junghans and mondaine pull of the same trick more distinctively
If by “understatement” you mean crap, then yes…Nomos is pure understatement. Imho😊
I like Nomos, but their lugs are way too long. Always puts me off their offerings.
Nomos watches look for the world like $20 discount bin offerings. Yes, yes, I understand the Bauhaus design influences, but I’m not wrong.
Back to just watches... Like it 👍🏼
Christopher Ward is nicest watch plus it has a 28800 movement 👌
I own three of these. I would say Farer is quite unknown here in the states, but their watches are great.
Offerings from Maen, Monta, and Baltic could have also featured here.
I really like the Maen Manhattan
Farer punches well above its weight class. I think that their Moonphase line is superb.
You guys did an awesome job with this one. There has now been another hard decision in my life, and its what one of these to pick
The Casio Oceanus OCW-T200S is missing. The list is therefore pointless. Good night.
That Longines watch is incredible.
Tissot LeLocle: similar to the Frederique Constant but at a fraction of the price
Should've included Steinhart. But you can't sell them (they are pretty much mfg direct) so you always ignore their incredible value.
The Nomos mixes Arabic and Roman numerals. For me, that is a design disaster. I don’t want to hear their excuses. It’s just appalling
The Orient symbol is too much. Cheap watches should never pretend to be luxury watches. Simplicity is the best weapon.
would love to see you review a watch from Stowa
I am really thinking about the Longines small seconds. I like it a lot!
Same
Overrated in real life, the dial seemed cheap to me in real life.
@@SacreDro Thanks for the feedback!
The Christopher Ward hour hand looks like it is delaminating.
Nomos really need to redesign these lugs tho. Their movement finishing is crazy for this price point 🤯
Those are the most comfortable and elegant lugs, long lugs ensures the watch stays centred on the wrist without sliding to the sides too much.
MAEN ?
I’d love a Christopher Ward but I really dislike the logo. It seems really out of place on a watch. I feel like it should be ok a laptop or a TV
Another Must Have watches session, which is completely different from yesterday's Must Have watches session?!... nice.
Something about the Nomos doesnt do it for me, aomething about the 3 styles of hour markers maybe.

I am tempted to get a second Club in a different color too!
Budget alternative to the Frederique Constant is the Tissot Le Locle
Where's San Martin? No. Seriously. Where is San Martin?
For fun just picked up the spinnaker, based on your review. Appreciate the reccomendation!
cheapest is certainly relative, yet if cheaper maybe the finishing was more crap.
A bit serious you guys today, what’s happening?
The face in the sun and moon is a deal breaker. Dislike and it's creepy.
That Spinnaker looks amazing except for that fkn hour-hand design...
My dady bought one #mamacoo and he loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when he went out with it.
Fantastic list, boys!
Was looking for this type of list for a long time
The Longines is the only decent piece on this list. The rest are nothing but a plethora of shitters...
pulsar vd57-X152 blue dial, rose gold case, brown leather strap
Nomos is top, the most unique character, very comfortable, and real in house.
Great video. The Orient Star RE-AU0006 is sorely missing from this list. For a £600 watch i dont think ive seen a finish more reminiscient of Grand Seiko, complete with zaratsu polishing.

"Christopher Ward" copies the Thai brand named "Wise" designs. Invite me some day to your channel. I can talk about that.
the spinnaker and longines makethe others look like complete trash.
Great video! This has narrowed down my hunt for my next watch!!
Which one are you leaning towards? Have you already pulled the trigger on one

I don't like numerals on dial, hence the Cristopher Ward or the Seiko Presage looks very elegant
I generally agree, but that Longines has me rethinking my opinions
@@bobmclennan1727 Aside from my preference, the dial, the size and the font on that Longines is indeed beautiful
A bit more expensive, but the Tudor bb58 is outstanding value for money, outstanding

Well I ordered Spinnaker now after watching this video... let's see if it is amazing when in close look..
PVD gold plated watches are the epitome of pretentious, and tacky AF
Wonder how a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic would hold up against these. I suspect it would be similar.
First time seeing the face behind the camera in 5 years for me
I know how you like a good finish, really 😂
FC yes, I own a few.
Not cheap but thoughts on seiko SARR range enamel dial spring drive range? I feel it will become a 2nd hand bargain.
I generally like it when watches make two design thingys pleasing
Any comments on the other two colours of the Longines? I find the silver/blue one magnificent…!
OOFT the Orient, gold plated. Not for me thanks. Lovely looking watch until the plating wears off. Stainless would be far better.
No argument with any of the entries here, but for me the Spinnaker and Longines are the standouts.
The 6R35 is a dog of a movement with positional variation like no other.
The Citizen, say, AQ4091-56M, does not qualify?
Do you have any idea on the fortis brand looking very interesting at the new styles I’ve seen??
Most boys like a happy ending
Nomos bore me slightly but i like them still
That longines makes me wish i dressed nicer. That dial is spectacular
The Orient has been called "Sun & Moon" for a long time.
It'd be great to see a presentation of watches with Thick hands.
