The Japanese's landing craft were good but they had the disadvantage of having the driver's position above the ramp. This made shooting and killing the driver easier and such quicker to stop the landing craft in the water so that planes or artillery could bomb and strafe the boats.
One note, in 1941 the M1903 Springfield was not standard issue, The M1 garand was the standard service rifle in all branches from 1936 until 1959 when it was replaced by the M14. However the M1903A1 springfield did see extensive service in the first year of the war by the USMC, in Guam and Guadalcanal, and I believe it remained in rear-line service throughout the war, the marine divisions were all equipped with M1 Garands by 1943.
You should use a program like audacity at the beginning to make your voice sound like a radio, if you felt like it/ even see this and want to know I'd be more then glad to show you, definitely has a lot of immersion, great video none the less!
Yes do Wake Island next!! It would be awesome if you went through the Pacific Campaign like this, with Guadalcanal and Midway and Iwo Jima and a bunch of other kewl stuff I probably forgotten...
I know I'm commenting on a lot of your videos lately (just like watching them and sort of binge watching). Loved the intro, would love to watch the English and The Siege of Singapore.
Love it!! Japanese war in WWII will always be my fav! how about making the invasion of the Japanese on Malaya? that would be awesome! -Fans from Malaysia-
Nice, but the Marines and the US Army used WW1 era M1917 helmets during the early days of the war, they switched to the M1 "Pot" helmet during the battle of Guadalcanal.
During the actual invasion, the japanese landed unopossed at Tumon and Alupang, Only after they marched south to Agana did they meet a defence, which soon crumbled,
I have a great uncle on my mom's side who was a Electricians Mate on Guam when the Japanese invaded. The only time he opened up to my grandmother; his buddies were in a car driving away from the landings. However around every corner they saw Japanese flags all over. He surrendered and he endured the inhuman conditions the Japanese treated POWs.
I would love to see a Dieppe landing, done by the Canadians (British) along with British commandos could storm a heavily defended beach and try to take out a certain structure to win. (You chose) It would be so amazing to see this
Diplex it will be so cool from you if you played a remake of all the most biggest battles of the pacific war and even all the big battles of WW2 !!!! Keep doing your marvellous work Sorry for my english it's not my mother tounge
YES!!! Historical battles! I love these, with the whole historical intro and everything. I HAVE A SUGGESTION!! Can you please do the assault on Pointe du Hoc, 1944
Andre Thecool Although, this battle was in 1941 and my mentioned question was toward 1943, but this leads me into another question... Is DiplexHeated going to play all the battles of WW2?
I love the video, so to speak. It is really great, so to speak. I'd love to plaay MoW:AS2, but sadly my piece of shit laptop can only handle anything up to MoW:AS1, i'm still playing that good ol' Cold War mod, if you still know that thing Diples. That's how i found your channel, and this game. Your good old "Modern MOD" series. So to speak.
The Japanese's landing craft were good but they had the disadvantage of having the driver's position above the ramp. This made shooting and killing the driver easier and such quicker to stop the landing craft in the water so that planes or artillery could bomb and strafe the boats.

Andre Thecool Has he done the reenactment of "American 5th Fleet: Operation Galvanic [WW2]" on the Japanese island Tarawa?
Andre Thecool More specifically the land formation named Betio, of Tarawa...?
Andre Thecool Although, this battle was in 1941 and my mentioned question was toward 1943, but this leads me into another question... Is DiplexHeated going to play all the battles of WW2?
No..
2:58 did anyone else notice the drivers arms sticking out of the box thing? Whatever it’s called
can we have Japanese imperial forces vs the 1st special service force (the devil's brigade)? or the Japanese occupation of Alaska.
the tommy gun was in service but it wasnt used much because it jammed and the drum magazine was too bulky and it damaged easier
+DiplexHeated
they were part either the 1st or 2nd Marine Defense Battalion....
He Lives!!

Hello diplex it's been a while. I've waited so long to see your video
will you be putting up any squad gameplay soon?
the entire Guam campaign was 5000 Japanese vs 500 American defenders, but the majority of the actions were small and isolated
