Yes, buy an Integra. All trims are becoming scarce so get whatever you can while you can and build them from there. But address the suspension sooner rather than later. And not just for peace of mind, you'll really retain that time shaving response when you fling it into a corner.
Hey, I’m planning on buying a red ‘94 manual coupe with a rebuilt b20a engine and gsr transmission in a couple days. The price we agreed on is $3k. It has some problems that will probably take a few hundred dollars to fix. Do you think it’s a good deal? Seems like a steal to me, I checked the car out and it drives like a beast
I have an automatic 99 GS integra. The automatics are generally in much better shape than the manuals since they aren’t as sought after, and they are much easier daily drivers because of the automatic. The automatics on them are not know for their reliability, so if it ever breaks down, you can always swap in a manual transmission for pretty cheap, and the money spent to do so is added directly to the value of the car if you ever decide to sell it. I think either could be a good choice, but I wouldn’t want to daily a manual.
So, would you recommend a TL V6 manual over this if the option presents itself? I'm in the mid 20s bracket who needs a reliable daily driver that also has a respectable amount of power to go with it.
TL is a way better daily. It’s faster and looks way better, and has more power potential. The integra is cool don’t get me wrong but these old cars don’t make good daily’s anymore. Your in your 20s this is not an adult car, no girls are going to wanna ride in a an integra just being honest.
@@emmanuelalva6597 Well IF I can find one in a manual that is. THAT point is the only real reason I considered the 8th or 9th gen Civic too. PS my current car is a 1965 Mustang that I once daily drove to high school and college. Yeah it LOOKS classy but having no AC sucks, the reliability sucks, its slow its not great on gas, and its an automatic
@@DAN007thefoxx1 might have more luck looking for a manual V6 accord. Not sure what’s your budget is but anything Honda/Acura In manual does coke at a premium.
@@emmanuelalva6597 No matter what I buy I won't be able to afford it without selling the Mustang. And I actually WANTED a V6 manual Accord. Literally I cant even find a Civic Si in the 8th generation for less than 9 grand on Facebook
The 1992 to 1995 civics are better Options, those weight 300lbs to 400lbs less then the integras.. They also handle the same but feel lighter and the interior feels like it has more room, the dash on the integras is push forward making it feel like it has less room..
See if they would take an even 4k, if the rest of it is in good shape (no quarter panel rust, etc), then you might’ve found a hidden gem. Make sure to do your research to be sure.
They are really nice cars I think they are even lighter and rearer than Marks Integra. Tuning wise should be very tunable see Honda tech and other forums the code name for that car is DA. I think they have a cable clutch instead of hydraulic that would be the only difference and I think there's a conversion kit if you don't want cable clutch.
@@sheldonlamey7010 if the codename is DA,does that mean that its very tunable?...its stock hp is 130,do you think with the DA,it could reaxh atleast 300hp?
@@oklo0315 absolutely one key element of how much power the engine can handle is how thick the connecting rods are I heard that the B18B1 can handle 350 HP that's the limit so the B18A1 ( very similar to the B1) should be able to handle the same. I would start at 250 and work my way by retune after a while to 300HP and leave it there for. precaution. I also would not be an idiot and bang off the rev limiter and treat the engine well have fun but don't try to show off or mishandle the engine. Remember these engines handle power because they were over built but still were not designed for turbo applications. 300 seems ok though that what Japanese tune to back in the 90s from the shelf turbo kits and Japanese tend to mod engines a little under the limit japs love balance over big horse power. If you want more power I would build the internals with forged parts and block guard so you can push it more it all depends on your budget the tuner and how you are going to use the car. Remember that there's no reliability guarantee on fully built engines Honda put more $ in research and development for their factory engines so stock or close to stock will always last longer.👍🏾🔰🏎️
Naturally aspirated (aka NA) builds may work out different from what I said previously you'll spend more to get 250-300 but NA has no lag....power is instant,as opposed to turbos. Turbos have improved turbo lag wise but there's a minute amount of lag. NA is fun too most people add nitrous to the build to get more power with more research you'll see what you like and what you want.
debating picking one of these up, its 1800$, LS 5 speed with 240k on the clock, motor looks like it has had a top end rebuild because it looks very clean. California car with no rust and good paint for being a 1997. Would u reccomend buying it mark?
Depends on if it’s manual, any problems, how the rust is, and clean title but if it all checks out to you, that cars probably worth around $4k-$5k where I’m from as long as it’s in good condition and a manual coupe (sedans are a lot cheaper)
If you wanted to go fast, should you use this car? “you answered no you should probably use a cheaper civic these are getting rare” an clean 92’ civic Si hatch cost twice what an integra four door cost. An upkept black EJ1 coupe ex cost as much as a GSR.

There’s a 1997 integra I believe it’s a gsr, it has 129,000 miles, the listed price is $4300, how much do you think I should offer??
See if they would take an even 4k, if the rest of it is in good shape (no quarter panel rust, etc), then you might’ve found a hidden gem. Make sure to do your research to be sure.
Aye bro what you think of the 1990 integra?how is its tuning ability and all that?
@@sheldonlamey7010 How would you do it?
Just dorped in to say yes you shuold that is all
debating picking one of these up, its 1800$, LS 5 speed with 240k on the clock, motor looks like it has had a top end rebuild because it looks very clean. California car with no rust and good paint for being a 1997. Would u reccomend buying it mark?
yes that’s cheap
I’m looking At a 96 LS for $26 with 235 on the dash. Bad buy?
I have had mine since I was 16 with 212k and had 240k now I’m 21
Yes!!!!! Buy a Ingetra!!!!!
Need to buy. Had to twenty years ago lol
Mark R, 97 integra LS with 95K, 5 owners, 95% OEM. how much shall I offer for it?
Depends on if it’s manual, any problems, how the rust is, and clean title but if it all checks out to you, that cars probably worth around $4k-$5k where I’m from as long as it’s in good condition and a manual coupe (sedans are a lot cheaper)
In good condition, yes! But at age 19 not my preference since most integras are clapped out
Your temp gauge doing okay? Didn't see it move the whole drive lol
If you wanted to go fast, should you use this car? “you answered no you should probably use a cheaper civic these are getting rare” an clean 92’ civic Si hatch cost twice what an integra four door cost.
An upkept black EJ1 coupe ex cost as much as a GSR.
You literally just compared clean models of civic to the worst models of integra… a 4 door ek civic ex will cost less than any Integra
Where did you buy the car?
sheesh you have and integra type r cluster! gsr revs to 9k while itr revs to 10 so more valuable.
Ouuu I didn’t even know man lol
@@markroden Jdm version as well, usdm is a slight more red on the needle and the rev limiter red

Good choice basically the same underneath the sheet metal.
Is a honda the same as acura?
Yes!
Mark, im 6 foot 4 in. do you think im gonna be too tall for the integra?
Dunno if I’m too late, but I’m 6’3” and it’s a bit of a squeeze for me, especially with the knees. I have the same year as the one in the video. If you’re comfortable with that go for it, it’s a fun little guy.
lol nobody is selling integeras for $4,000...
try $7k+
There’s some here in nc…. Clapped out ofc

Someone selling 1995 Integra ls sport for 1k runs and drives with 180k miles
This just seems like the most posh take on the Integra I’ve ever heard😂
They developed Acura for upscale Americans who thought they were too good to own a civic but it was actually the same shit lmao
