We made a stop at the San Rafael Swell area in Utah to explore, testing the only fix for my car sick dog on a 2400 mile road trip. San Rafael Swell is full of technical off road trails. I cant wait to explore more of this area in Utah.
Niko, my 3 year old Husky/Malamute mix has always had issues of car sickness since he was a "tiny" puppy. I have tried everything suggested throughout the internet. I have had great luck on shorter drives with Cerenia. This road trip was the ultimate test for his car sickness
Now that I found a fix, I am trying to get my camping/overland set up more accommodating for the dogs. I figured I would try the Gazelle Tent out since its rated so highly. I go over why, for me, its not ideal.

I just throw my Exped straight on the ground in my Gazelle, no cot needed with that mattress having an air barrier. Saves a bunch of space.
Yea, this is one thing I debated getting instead of cots. I still don’t like the corner doors for the dogs. Muddy paws and bedding. The dogs are the primary reason why Im going to a ground tent, so I want it to accommodate that mostly.
Is that a 35x10.50 spare underneath?
Just the stock size spare for now until I can build a tire carrier.
How did the tires do getting up to interstate speeds? With stock gearing did you notice a significant power loss ? I had them on a JL and loved them!
It gets there… but she gets thirsty! 😂 I definitely want to regear, just not sure if I want to go with 4.88 or 5.29
As for power loss, it still has some, but there was a drop. I like at 6600 ft too, so that adds to it. My old 4Runner on 33s had a bigger loss by comparison.
