This process worked with well with GroutRenew as well. In fact, it was dried within 2 hours as it recommends do not let it dry. The wash down with scrub pad was perfect.
Best diy video I have seen,,, ever! Detailed but not over talking and repeat the important bits. Instructional videos is what you should do full time. Well done
This is an excellent video! Thank you for being clear and straight to the point, so refreshing not to have to watch 2 hours of someone talking to figure out how to do what you explained in 1 minute!
I've tried many ways of removing grout paint from tiles including a razor blade. What works best for me is to go over the grout lines with a slightly damp sponge while the paint is still wet to spread the paint on the tiles out so it isn't as thick in any area. After the paint is dry I put rubbing compound on a scouring pad/sponge and rub the paint off. Rubbing compound is great.
Absolutely the way to do it. Saw other videos that wipe with a moist towel right after application - well, that just wipes the product out of the grout again. Well done my friend! Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching and enjoying my videos. I appreciate the comments alot makes me feel better about my tips.. I have other tips cant want to put them out. THANKS AGAIN
The only drawback about the color stain is that it needs re-applying every couple of years for light colored grout. I would opt for the floor paint that you can paint ceramic tile with, and paint the grout permanently. I have color stained my sand colored grout on my kitchen/porch floors twice in the past dozen years and eventually you have to do it again. I am hoping that painting the grout, which is lower than the floor so won't scratch as much, will be a permanent solution?
Help 😱 I had a new black pebble floor installed in my new shower and I chose a color that’s too light. It needs to be a darker grey, not the light grey I chose. My tile guy said he will have to remove the floor and start again. It has only been down 2 days and it’s sealed with 511. Will this method let me put a darker grey over this new black pebble tile even though it’s newly put down AND sealed? He used the 511 Enhancer and Sealant yesterday over it. I’m almost freaked out over this 😢
question: i would like to white wash my brick back splash in kitchen, my question is, they used epoxy grout so that it would be easy to clean, i am wondering if paint will adhere to brick since epoxy grout was used.
Yes It will. It's obviously Better over sanded grout but yes I've used this before over epoxy grout many many times. Matter fact my 1st job with this product with this product Over 10 years ago was over epoxy grout, And used it many times over since.
i used clorox spray to clean up pet urine and it bleached out those areas. now I have dark grey with very light areas. if i did this method and used a dark color all over, will all of it be the same shade?
Good Question, Razor may harm marble or some sort of that type of soft stone, but it won't harm porcelain or hard tile unless it has some type of special coated surface but for the typical of most hard tile & porcelain shouldn't harm it. Always good to do a test area or mock up first before work.
I would definitely do a test sample first forsure. some stone will come off with the razor good but for the stone that dont you'll need to wipe off as you go with a damp microfiber cloth and try to avoid going over stone as much however to get a full fill you may go over stone a bit just not as much and wipe off right away. That's how I work those type of stone tile.
It doesn't necessarily chip it's more of a fade out or yes perhaps it could get scratched out, i would recommend keep some extra around, Mapei grout stain is really good too.
@@gregorystevens5173 I would use some tile Acid base Cleaner. They have some safe acid cleaning products for grout. Some pro Installers use a bit like a ¾ of a cup or less of muralic acid then mix with 3.5 gal water but you'll need to use gloves and a brush, eye protection glasses too, you just gotta be safe with whichever product you use, Ill have to make a video on this. Because there's a couple Effective ways to clean grout.
Like a sealer? No you don't, this is technically a sealant already. This paint covers the sanded grout with a layer of somewhat of an epoxy base type paint that it is so sealant is no longer required for what was sanded grout.
Someone please help if you are in the know. Project: Virgin tile and virgin white grout. We need to seal our tile and want to stain our grout as well. The builder was supposed to use a deep gray for the GROUT but used white. Now we have to stain the grout and seal the tile. We ordered Polyblend grout renew stain and sealer. When we stain with this can we still seal the tile? Thank you.

Awesome!
This is a very well presented video. Aqua Mix should make you their spokesman demonstator. It really works!
Ty! Appreciate it
Your video was one of the best showing this process.
Thank You! I appreciate that

Will the razor scratch ceramic smooth tiles?

By far the best video I have seen so far! Excellent tips! Thanks!
THANK YOU MUCH 😊
Great tips thanks 😊
I needed this video after being impatient, testing (with black!) on my white tile🤦♂️thank you!
Best f---ken video, your good...! great job keep up.
Excellent tutorial sir! Can you add sealer over it once painted?
Do you use knee pads or some sort of dolly? I have done this before but it kills your knees, and suggestions?
wow you are a pro!
Does the grout need to be prepped beforehand?!?! Like scrubbed?!?! Idk lol I’m interested
It would be ideal to clean grout before hand, but as long as it's debris free should be fine.
Like this easy

Very helpful.
Thank you!!! Great "how to" video!!
No problem Ty!
Thanks for the explanation, very short but useful. I have a question. What type of paint did you use?.
❤😊

Thanks going to look for those sponges

What color grey is that, please?
10/10
best video! 😍
Does anyone know what color grey he is using? I need that one . Thank u in advance . Blessings .
Thanks for that - very clear instructions. Does that grout paint you're using need sealing after?
Thanks, & does not need sealer its good as is, its its own sealer/paint already, according to the product description.
@@egformula even for the shower?
It says on the bottle, not for a wet area.
Thank you so much!

Would you happen to know? What is the main difference between Aqua Mix and Polyblend Renew grout stain? Thank you.
Yes i do and the answer to that is none because is the same product. Aquamix makes the stain for ployblend customs.
@@egformula Aha! Thank you.
Thank you!!!!
The razor blade and raf may not work on a tile with a raised pattern?
Thanks for the info. Do I need to seal the new color?
No need to seal
Great video. Can I use this product on recently sealed grout?
Yes definitely
Nope, it won't last. If water beads up on it, you need to remove the sealer.
This video is kinda old now. Was wondering how it was holding up with the razor method. Like no peeling or anything?
This would be the best way.. guess I should make an updated video on this lol
i used clorox spray to clean up pet urine and it bleached out those areas. now I have dark grey with very light areas. if i did this method and used a dark color all over, will all of it be the same shade?
Yes,.. as a matter of fact thats why we were painting the grout on this video due to original grout not being a consistent color.
@@egformula thank you
razor blade won't harm the tile?

Nice video. Where do I buy the color stain
Home Depot sales it, they didn't before but now they have been.
What if tiles are not sealed won’t they stain?
No tiles will be fine as is won't stain
What product do you like to use to prep/clean the grout before you stain it?
Sulfuric acid into water using a small brush but with strong bristles and sponge off with clean water...
Works pretty good.
What if the tile is a porous stone. Will the grout stain come off with a razor blade?
