You mentioned Eminem's ability to tie the last bar of his verse to the hook. He most likely does this in the same way Tupac did it. He writes the verse first and then the hook is written with the last bar or two of the verse in mind. You can find studio footage of Tupac explaining it to the engineer. He was recording so feverishly that he would hammer out the verses for 5 or 6 songs within a few hours and then go back and do the hooks later

Well, that were very personal words. In Germany we like to say: Neid muss man sich verdienen. And that'S true. Became a father is easy. To be a good father that is a hard job. Def one of my favorite beats. You explained it perfectly when you said "it makes you feel like you're about to have a fight" That's so freakin on point with how this song makes you feel. Great comparison
I find 50's come up story to be the most interesting come up story of any rapper ever. The mixtape that Em heard was called Guess Who's Back and most of the songs were from his unreleased album Power of the Dollar which got shelved by Columbia records after he got shot 9 times. The album featured Destiny's Child and Bun B so he definitely would've blown up from that but then we never would've gotten the 50 Cent that we got with Em and Dre backing him and with the change in his speech from the bullet fragment. It was actually a song off that shelved album that was the reason he got shot and blacklisted in the industry, Ghetto Qu'ran, where he talks about the gang The Supreme Team which the leader didn't take kindly to. It's also most likely the reason that Jam Master Jay of Run DMC was murdered. He mentored 50 musically and allegedly didn't listen to the blacklisting ordered by Preme so they shot him. 50 had to record the remainder of his Guess Who's Back mixtape in Canada due to the blacklisting, no studio in the US would work with him. And this doesn't even go into who he was in the street and how tragic his childhood was. It just amazes me how much was against him and how much shit was thrown his way and how he still managed to be insanely successful. I wish his movie could've gone into all that stuff but I know it would've put his life in even more danger. He already had to move around in bulletproof trucks wearing bulletproof vests with an army of dudes at all times for the first few years of his career. It's also interesting how it pulled Eminem into that world and it reflected pretty clearly in his image and music at the time (Eminem Show and Encore).
The Eminem Show was 100 Percent done when 50 signed.. It released May 26th 2002, so the 50 signing didnt effect that album at all.. Id say it effected D12 World, The ReUp, Encore though
@@Ranger.TomGunna true, I guess he was already transitioning in to his more “gangster” style then (sounds corny but idk what else to call it lol). I think its most evident in all his disses he released during that era after eminem show.
Crazy part of Em's verse that always gets me thinking is the description of how him and 50 together is like putting pac and biggie together with a little bit of big L. Giving huge praise at how grateful he was so sign 50 while not one else would. Which is compounded is his next line where he say what you know about death threats cause I get a lot. At the time no one wanted to sign 50 because they felt he was too abrasive or raw and could bring too much heat. The man wore a bulletproof vest everywhere he went practically. And Em is saying I don't give a fuck about that. Just his talent.
