WE FINALLY DID IT! After a full year of hunting this on and off, 9 total phases, and a grand total of 10,679 sinistea encounters, we got a shiny authentic sinistea! But that's not all! Not only did we get the shiny authentic sinistea, we got it with the RARE MARK! Making this one of the rarest shiny pokemon to ever exist! Also if you were wondering, this particular phase for sinistea took 5,130 encounters with the charm, making it both my longest ever charm hunt along with my longest ever hunt in terms of odds! (3.75x odds!)
This very well may be the peak of my shiny hunting career but it’s far from over! I’ve got so many cool hunts planned for the future and I can’t wait to see if we find any more gems like this!

Now go for the Star Shiny Authentic Sinistea with a Rare Mark, that is the true rarest one since Star Shiny is a 1/16 in wild
So the key for this method is K.O the sinistea even if we got 500+ K.O to boost the spamming rate of sinistea at the same point. Because I always ran away from pkm after 501 K.O, so maybe I will back to K.O them to get more sinistea and higher chance to get a shiny. And 1 more question, I just failed to catch a shiny sinistea due to the move memento, so by checking the pokedex and see the description of the shiny sinistea I failded to catch, can I know that sinistea is an authentic or not, as I saw the authentic and normal sinistea got 2 different spot in the same pokedex
Amazing, I have seen rare marked shinies before, but I've never seen a rare marked authentic sinistea before. Major congrats on the rarest Gen 8 shiny.

The spawn rate of that is 1/45454500 (100×1365×333 or the odds of the sinistea spawning, it being shiny and for it to have the rare mark)!
And it’s an ultra shiny, to add it further.

@@cash_ketchum4958 I believe you can only get phonies from raid dens. Even if I’m wrong It’s way less efficient than the method I’m using. And I refuse to use the raid den exploit to make it a free shiny. That takes away the fun of shiny hunting for me

lol I wish! Unfortunately to do a ribbon master quest you need to have a shadow Pokémon you’ve purified from either Pokémon colosseum or XD! This being a gen 8 Pokémon doesn’t have access to many ribbons 😢
@@ThedomiNATION Haha, I know: if you really want to go for the most ribbons possible than your selection is very limited (and will be limited even more if cutting pokedexes becomes a habit for Nintendo). But as far as I'm concerned a Ribbon Master is a Pokémon who has all the ribbons that a particular Pokémon can possibly have, not necessarily most that are out there. Some aren't even available anymore, since they were given at certain events in 2005 for example. Good luck time travelling btw.
But with all the remakes which probably/most likely are coming to the Switch I definitely do see potential to become a Ribbon Master for that gorgeous pink cup of tea of yours.

also I know the pain of going above 7000+ encounters on ultra moon took me 6 months of soft resetting for a creselia I legit lost count
Yeah it was tough but after the KO method was discovered to make the authentic 50%, it made it way better!

What does "Phases" mean btw in shiny hunting?
Never heard that before.
A phase is basically when you get a shiny. It’s most commonly used when you get a shiny you don’t want so you continue hunting in the area for the shiny you do want! For this hunt, I had 8 phases before finding the authentic sinistea on phase 9. The phases were phony sinistea, swirlix, shiinotic, phony sinistea, phony sinistea, phony sinistea, phony sinistea, nidoran female, then finally the authentic sinistea!

I've tried this right after the release of Crown Tundra. I stopped counting after the 999, sometimes I'd leave the old cemetery to battle, do raids etc because it was exhausting and i gave up. I'm very lucky when hunting, all shinies i wanted to hunt were successful, except this one. I heard the authentic ones are more likely to appear when doing the curry method at Glimwood Tangle, gonna try it again but this time with the craziest method
Curry method is not the way to go for hunting a shiny authentic as those will always be full odds and there’s no way to influence what Pokémon you’ll get. Also you’re not even guaranteed an encounter with it. I’d recommend looking at my tutorials on how to get shiny authentic sinistea on my channel because this is the highest rate you can give yourself. Also going over 999 isn’t unlucky at all with shiny hunting as even with shiny charm the odds are 1/1365! It even took me well over 5000 encounters to get this one shiny!

Can someone fully explain everything that makes it rare, I never fully understood the stamps and the markings and all that
This will be a lot to explain in one comment so bare with me:
Sinistea has two different forms, a phony form and an authentic form. The authentic has a stamp of authenticity on the bottom of the teacup while the phony does not. Authentic sinistea are much more rare than phony sinistea and on top of that, the shiny is very rare as it is. But what makes this specific one extremely rare is the fact that it also has the rare mark. Any wild Pokémon in Sword & Shield have a random chance to get a mark on them with some being more common than others. The rare mark however is the rarest mark you can have which is normally a 1/1000 chance of appearing on any given Pokémon. With the mark charm however that I had, it was a 1/333 chance instead. That on top of the fact that a shiny has a 1/1365 chance of appearing made this a whopping 1/454,545 chance of happening. But along with that, it was on a shiny authentic sinistea which is one of the hardest shinies to hunt in Sword & Shield! I really hope this all makes sense!

@The domiNATION Question what is the EXACT METHOD of getting shiny AUTHENTIC SINISTEA in scarlet and violet?
You need to run around specifically in a small section to the southwest of Alfornada. Then just look at every sinistea until you see a shiny one and use the camera to check underneath to see if it’s authentic. Unfortunately you cannot use a meal power to increase the authentic spawn rate as authentic sinistea will not spawn when a meal power is active. At least if it’s an encounter power ghost. I think authentic sinistea is much harder to hunt in scarlet and violet than it is in sword and shield

It shouldn’t take too long to get one to show up unless you’re really unlucky. Every sinistea that spawns in has a 1/20 Chance to be authentic one of my three however took I think 70 sinistea before it was authentic

With the exact odds of what I was doing, an authentic sinistea is about a 1/2 chance, shiny chance was 1/1365, and the rare mark was a 1/333 chance giving about a 1/909,090 chance of happening. It can be applied to any shiny using the KO method I was using with the rare mark. But for it to be specially on a shiny authentic sinistea as opposed to any other Pokémon makes the odds incomprehensible 😂

The exact calculation for this specific shiny (Including the K.O. SR method) it's 1/1,365 shiny with charm, 50/100 spawn rate boosted by the K.O. method, 1/333 rare mark with mark charm. The result end up beeing 1/909,090
Just a little bit rarer than a 1% spawn rate, full odds shiny gen 1-5 (1/819,200)
It's a shame, K.O. method, shiny charm and mark charm incresses way to much the odds, it could be an infinite rarer shiny (1/409,600,000)

@@mtzmx1207 “Special” is in the eye of the beholder. Some people don’t care about the extra rarity if the Pokémon appears exactly the same. Full odds hunters do it for the experience (or they have to depending on the hunt). The only consistent measure of the Pokémon’s “specialness” is the objective, seeable value. Just because this Pokémon is less special to you doesn’t mean other people share the same sentiment.

Hi I have a shiny authentic sinestea and it has a lot of ribbons and some marks I don’t know much about Shinys so I was wondering if you could tell me how rare it is
An authentic sinistea isn’t authentic because it has a mark. It is authentic because it has a stamp of authenticity at the bottom of it (as seen in the thumbnail) they also can only be evolved using a chipped pot and not a cracked pot. Shiny authentic sinistea is one of the more difficult shinies to get and if you get one with a mark (in the ribbon section) that rarity can vary based on the mark you have with it. The rare mark is the rarest one to get. Pokémon can only get one mark and other ribbons you get for it are something your Pokémon receives after completing a certain task. Hope this helps!

Square sparkles are actually nearly guaranteed from wild Pokémon for some reason. If it was star sparkle it would be insanely rare. In the wild, square sparkles are a 4095/4096 chance and star sparkles are 1/4096. I’m pretty sure it’s an error though as I feel like the whole idea of square and star sparkle shinies would’ve been much more positively received is square sparkles were always a 1/16 chance

What does it mean by phases?
When you’re going for a specific shiny and get a different shiny, that’s a phase. I got the shiny sinistea after finding 8 other shinies meaning I got the shiny I was looking for on the 9th phase

How do you tell if it’s authentic
There’s a little stamp on the bottom of it that you can see in the video when it spins around. Alternatively, you can catch it and see what kind of pot is compatible with it to evolve it. The cracked pot only evolves phonies and the chipped pot only evolves authentics!

I do prefer the look of the square sparkles but in the wild, star sparkles have a 1/4096 chance of being on a shiny so if it was, then I would probably be forever the luckiest person in the world lol

The safari ball is a 1/1000 chance to obtain from the cram-o-matic if you put 4 apricorns in. So it just adds to the rarity

Shiny authentic sinistea is one of the hardest shinies to get in Sword and Shield and mine has the rare mark which is the rarest mark to get on any Pokémon
