So true , I live in Delhi and in a restaurant eating alone , 4 guys came in and ordered Dosa , in a hindi way , one of the guy corrected them it's dos'e' ( dho-say) , it was more than year I had gone to Karnataka, I was looking at them , they just smiled , and asked where are you guys from , guy who said dos'e' said he is from KR Nagara ( kyarnagara 😂 in Mysore style ) I just laughed and said ' neenu dos'e' andagale gothaithu mysuru anta। , Ah I miss my Mysore ।
Born in Mysore, should have it in me. It is a place that has embraced modernity without giving up tradition unlike Bangalore and several other places. Will always love the experiences Mysore gave me and hope it stays true to tradition. Iyengar's bakery, benne dosai(set) and bonda ummmm!
I live in Bangalore. I have visited Mysore a couple of times... It's so peaceful in Mysore... I love that... here in Bangalore it's so chaotic ... So many vehicles....OMG... as soon as I enter Mysore ... the air is so fresh and it's so calming.
Happy to see tat you intrest towards India Karnataka and namma Mysuru!!! Wow Kannada words make me smile!! Your just awesome !! Where did you stayed in mysuru!!!
It is a feel good factor, when you hear a foreigner speaking Kannada firstly. I am a Bangalorean by birth but Mysore has the tradition of Karnataka and I agree with you. I personally feel your Hindi is fluent than Kannada, maybe with some more help you could get better with Kannada. Bangalore has multilingual culture and that is why people like the city and ofcourse for the pubs and breweries 🙂
Hi, Jenny! A Mysurian here. Surprised to see no mentioning of Mylari Hotel, at Nazarbad, which is famous for its Masala Dosas. And also Gayathri Tiffin Room (GTR). Btw, the Guru Sweet Stall, that you mention, is famous for its mouth watering Mysore Pak. In fact, it was the grandfather of the present owner of the place who invented the sweet.
The way put up your experience and information about Karnataka n other states is best thing i ever heard it from the person from overseas....INDIA LOVES YOU and YOUR PRESENCES.
Most of the People who come from other places don't bother to learn Kannada. It's kind of heartbreaking for me to use English or Hindi in my own city (Bengaluru). You speaking Kannada made my family smile😄😊
Great to know that you put in all the effort to learn the local language. As you observed, a lot of Indians living in Bangalore don't put in the effort. Mysore is definitely a great City.
Jenni dear, you make me nostalgic about Mysuru where i grew up and then migrated abroad to practice my profession. You have the potential to be a good kannada speaker. The new gen in India are not very proud of their native languages. Even our movie dialogs are contaminated with english.
Your video took me to my home :) .. I know it's difficult to find authentic Mysore masala dos-e in Germany. If you visit Nuremberg, we would like to hear more about your cultural experience of my home state over some filter coffee and mysore masla dos-e :)
Lots of eateries I came to know in Mysore through you even though I keep visiting Mysore once in a month. Most oldest is Dasprakash Restaurant. My home is Bangalore.Bangalore temperature is always 3 degrees less than in Mysore. South Bangalore is more peaceful & heaven for foodies.
Hello Jenni..... Your videos are amazing.... Not only for me,for my whole family.. My 10 years son really fond of your videos.. Lots of love and wishes from DEEP SENSE.
Your. Picturizing is wonderful ur comparison. Pictures of Germany and Mysore. Is very impressive omg. You speak Kannada with absolute native style. I am happy you consider Mysore as your second home. I am really. Thrilled. To. Listen good words about Mysore because I ama mysorian. You are always warmly welcomed. To mysore
Jenniji Sister, Wow, your video's are awesome and presentation is very interesting & amazing. Hope to see more such videos from you. Your pronunciation of Kannada & Hindi is adorable. We love you for being a India-German cultural friendship ambassador. Love with affection from Mysore Citizens..💕🇮🇳🇩🇪
Danke for the tour of Mysore that you gave us!! I've been in Karnataka for quite some time now and would really love to visit and explore Mysore someday, thanks to you I know exactly where to go for haha...btw you got Indian restaurants that serve you south indian food back in your city? Or have you tried cooking them at home? The masala dosa or something of that sort? Mysore Pak surely is famous, but even I prefer Kaju Katli/Barfi cause I feel Mysore Pak is just too sweet for me :P Oh also, it's great to see you not judge the cities, the culture and the people based on the cleanliness....more often than not, foreigners do complain about it and feel disgusted, which is understandable but to see someone accept it and not pass judgements is really refreshing and heartwarming Btw, hogi bega banni :P (hope my kannada is correct :P) Tschuss!!
Jenni, your Hindi is sounding good too:) Erfurt is city of Martin Luther right? I am glad you had a good time in Mysore. I have only been there once on a college trip. I agree smaller cities have their own vibe/ benefits. By the way you are looking good in a saree!
Please come to Odisha. Odisha is known for its rich cultural heritage and all types of traditions & customs. The festival Of Odisha is incredible & amazing, specially the world biggest upon theatre "Bargarh Dhanu Yatra festival" in western Odisha, India.
Jenni ,walking in street (in Germany ) wearing saree , want know how German reacted to see you? Bcz In saree you look Most beautiful ,I ever seen a girl
Whatever you said about Bengaluru is absolutely 200% correct..... It was once a city just like Mysore, a retirement city for retired people... After massive Investments, it has changed..... Suggestion for you: Don't drink beer and other alcoholic drinks.... Don't get into the illusion that, drinking means enjoyment....
Whenever next time you come to India, do visit Jaipur in Rajasthan. It's an awesome city with many Historic monuments, temples on mountains, city flooded with Indian culture etc
