You definitely outdid yourself with this one, the sculpt, the stand THE HAIR???? I'm sooooo amazed by this one edit: you could add some kintsugi to the pot to even more resemble the broken-ness of this character
The pot was doomed anyway. It cracked further yesterday so I will have to repot her before I will bring her to my mom :P Maybe a metal pot this time? :D
@@Mephistoasted tbf i dont think it would work on this subject :( these are stress breaks caused from constant pressure and repotting is the best bet cause the pot will keep breaking each time you try to seal it
Yeah that makes sense. You could probably just paint one to make it look like it though. Like maybe sculpt your own clay pot and carve some little grooves to make it look like they were cracks and then paint em gold?

Thank you so much! Picking the color palette came so natural to me here. The yellow was a bit of an experiment, but I am happy that I blushed her with it :) Purple and yellow was always one of my favorite color combination :D So happy that you like her ^_^ It was definitely worth the effort ^_^

I follow many Doll artist, but you are definately one of my favorites, and while there are many BEATIFUL creatures, to this day, my favorite and the one I have referenced and watched on multiple occassions has been the love bird! This one is adorable and the hair is AMAZING, but the love bird just holds a special place in my heart!
Valentines was never some happy celebration for me. Just a random day with either a lousy boyfriend, who always forgot, or with no one at all (those were way better XD). I met my husband when I was over 30yo, so I have a lot of lonely Valentines behind me :D

This is by far my favorite of your pieces! She looks stunning, and her hair is absolutely perfect! I have come to the conclusion that any cactus related projects are cursed. I have a Cactus that has fought me every step of the way, and even when I thought it was done, it decided to break literally on the way to the Photo Booth to take portfolio shots. I understand the frustration 100%. She is so beautifully sad, I love her so much. When I potted my wooden cactus into my pot with plaster, the heat from the plaster curing caused the pot to crack because there wasn’t anywhere for the heat to go. That may have been a reason for the crack. That sound made my heart hurt as soon as it had happened, too close to home. I think you did a wonderful job patching it up. She looks so well done, I love the chicken pox circles around the base of the spines. They make them look so realistic and well incorporated. Thank you for making her 💚

I love this. the hair is perfect! So imaginative. No need to fret about the lashes. They are short like little cacti needles. Eyes are a fav part for me and yours are always pretty. Your attention to detail is fun and surprising. Like the little heart cactus in her hands. This is my fav doll do over so far. So different and wonderful. Even the molded cacti look real.
You've really outdone yourself. This is amazing. Really, there was only one thing that surprised me; the hair and the flowers are two different purples. But even that adds interest. Beautifully done❤

I follow many Doll artist, but you are definately one of my favorites, and while there are many BEATIFUL creatures, to this day, my favorite and the one I have referenced and watched on multiple occassions has been the love bird! This one is adorable and the hair is AMAZING, but the love bird just holds a special place in my heart!
Absolutely beautiful...I like your tradition with sad characters...not everyone is happy on Valentine's Day so this fits them well.
Valentines was never some happy celebration for me. Just a random day with either a lousy boyfriend, who always forgot, or with no one at all (those were way better XD). I met my husband when I was over 30yo, so I have a lot of lonely Valentines behind me :D
You have amazing talent/skills. I love her, she's absolutely beautiful and I feel so badly for her, not being able to get hugs. Maybe there's a boy fairy in her future, who can withstand the prickly quills?! I'm going to share this with my daughter - she collects dolls and loves watching people remake/reimagine them. I cannot properly express how much I ADORE this figurine! The colors, the cactus flower buns, the fuzzy needle sprouts, the ears, the expression... everything about it is absolutely perfect! As a cactus mom, I would definitely risk injury to give her a big, careful hug!

I have come to the conclusion that any cactus related projects are cursed. I have a Cactus that has fought me every step of the way, and even when I thought it was done, it decided to break literally on the way to the Photo Booth to take portfolio shots. I understand the frustration 100%.
She is so beautifully sad, I love her so much. When I potted my wooden cactus into my pot with plaster, the heat from the plaster curing caused the pot to crack because there wasn’t anywhere for the heat to go. That may have been a reason for the crack. That sound made my heart hurt as soon as it had happened, too close to home. I think you did a wonderful job patching it up.
She looks so well done, I love the chicken pox circles around the base of the spines. They make them look so realistic and well incorporated.
