Already have it best browser by far and I forgot there was the memory limiter that will be useful for modded Minecraft
I already use it man.
the sinnoh 7th gym leaders name is candice . i don't believe you forgot her name for some reason
I've been using opera for more than a decade. I was Cool before it was cool
LOL I WAS WATCHING IT ON GX
In Gen 4, Fire Fang will hit any Pokémon with Wonder Guard no matter if it should have hit or not.
At this point everyone knows this
@@TricksterzMW2 I didn't
This is widely known by now, not every video needs to cover it lol
On the contrary most of this information is actually stuff I didn't know yet
EDIT: since people don't seem to realize this, PapaSea himself has covered the Fire Fang information in previous videos. He doesn't need to mention it every video he makes. If you liked this video, then go watch his other fun fact videos, a few of those mention that bit about Fire Fang including many other interesting bits of trivia
@@madethistocomment727 me neither
@@LunarWingCloud fair! In all honesty I knew about 60% of the facts in this video so there’s always going to be people who don’t know stuff.
The Mega Blaziken using Ice Punch isn't the first time they made a mistake with the promotional material. When showing off the new Fairy type before X and Y were released, they showed a Gardevoir OHKO-ing a Hydreigon with Fairy Wind, the weakest Fairy-type move, to show off that both Dark and Dragon would be weak to Fairy and probably also that existing Pokemon such as Gardevoir would have the Fairy typing retconned onto them since it looks like even with STAB, it would take a disparity in at least one of IVs/EVs for a non-crit Fairy Wind from Gardevoir to even have a chance of oneshotting a Hydreigon...if Gardevoir actually learned Fairy Wind, which it doesn't.
Hmmm you know what try using moonblast or dazzling gleam as the base move in that scenario does it ohko the hydreigon then? If so then you probably unknowingly discovered that fairy wind was supposed to have moonblasts or dazzling gleams base power but was later changed out at some point
They probably had a lower level hydreigon and a higher level gardevoir, not hard to turn on your brain to figure that one out
Did you not turn on your brain? The whole IV/EV stuff is obviously just leading up to the punchline that Gardevoir doesn't learn fairy wind in the first place, which is a very common type of joke.@@akarinova
@@akarinova thumbs down
MY EEVEE EVOLVED INTO VAPOREON IN POKEMON BLUE WITHOUT A WATER STONE AND I NEVER KNEW WHY UNTIL NOW. I've learned about tons of glitches in the original games but I never encountered an answer to this question until this video years later. Thanks PaPaSea!
The first one is just because onix is made up of stone and there is just a waterstone semwhere stuck in him so when you switch from onix into staryu it touches it for a moment what makes it evolve
Very minor, but in Gen 2s Burned Tower, there's a trainer named Firebreather Dick whose overworld sprite turns grey after you beat him
I wish I was clever enough to make a joke about that
sucked the soul outta him
man with funny name gets so upset after losing to random child he turns grey and fucking dies
3 MISTAKES in 33 MISTAKES in Pokemon Games! video!
At 7:02, the word "rules" is mistakenly read as "ruins".
It's unknown if the developers missed this, or if it's a reference to the Solaceon Ruins which also made their debut in these games.
You’re missing 2 then
He says "ruins" three times, which were my 3 errors
That said, there's another bonus one later where he reads "hiding it's lair" as "hiding in it's lair" (keeping the incorrect "it's" from the dialogue). Whether it should be in or not, I don't know, but the voiceover doesn't match the video
Do space or time get destroyed in those games? It could be incidentally correct.
@@SenshiSunPower The destruction of space and time gets halted, unfortunately. It gets closer to destruction in legends Arceus
I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught this
Another mistake in the main series games I can think of, is the skip you could do with the guy who blocks you from entering Sunnyshore City earlier than intended, in BDSP. If you hatched an egg on the exact step you entered the sight range of that NPC that would normally have you pushed back by him, he won't stop you, and allow you to walk past him, allowing you to skip the Spear Pillar scenario entirely. I heard about this glitch when someone brought it up in Pikasprey's live chat during his stream of BDSP, and he tried it and it worked. Thing is, if you progress too far in the game after skipping the events of Spear Pillar through this method, I hear you will not be able to go there to complete Spear Pillar's events. I cannot remember though wherever the point of no return after using this glitch is after defeating Volkner, or beating the Champion
An interesting mistake from Gen 2 is that most of the apriballs don't work as intended. Such as: The Moon Ball works on pokemon that evolve with a burn heal and so on. Awesome video!
Heavy Ball also is busted...but only in Crystal. Due the game incorrectly identifying the weights for Tauros, Sunflora, and Kadabra, these three pokemon get a +40 catch rate instead of the intended -20 catch rate! In theory, this is how the Heavy Ball is supposed to work:
-Add +40 to the catch rate if the pokemon is 903 lbs+
-Add +30 to the catch rate if the pokemon is 641 lbs+
-Add +20 to the catch rate if the pokemon is 451 lbs+
-Add +10 to the catch rate if the pokemon is 225 lbs+
-20 to the catch rate if the pokemon does not meet the above requirements
That's an interesting way to evolve....
@@Twinklethefox9022 It is. In fact, you don't even need a fire stone to evolve Growlithe when you have Missingno in gen 1!
And the love ball is gay, not as broken as other ones but its the complete opposite of whats the description is
@@TheGodIvy And the level ball just throws the catch rate formula out the window 😂
Oh another mistake! There’s a trainer in Emerald who has a Lunturn that knows Earthquake even though that has never been possible. There are a number of “impossible moves” Pokémon throughout the series, but that one is my favorite.
Speaking of gen 3, Lance's Aerodactyl knows Rock Slide in gen 2 but doesn't learn it til gen 3! Also, his Dragonite knows Barrier, but Dragonite couldn't learn it til gen 6
@@Kali_Krause And even in Gen 6, the only way it has Barrier was through an event mimicking Lance's Dragonite
I like to imagine those cases aren't mistakes and are actually just indications that the pokemon world is much more fluid and complex than the rigid game design makes it seem. Sure, you the player can't teach lanturn earthquake, but from a lore perspective that might not mean that it's impossible for lanturn to learn earthquake completely.
Umm u made a mistake too wth is a Lunturn 😂
Still wild to me that the Gen 1 games sometimes just didn’t show both types for a dual-type Pokémon. I genuinely thought dual-types were a new addition in Gen 2 because of that one.
Damn, is THAT why I thought that??? Or was it just that I was a baby and couldn't comprehend what was happening.
One funny bug I ran into when playing Scarlet is that if you approach the Fairy Team Star base from the water, the cutscene where you talk to Clive will start with your character very slowly trudging out of the water, THROUGH Clive, and off-screen before snapping back to the correct position to continue the scene. Whole thing takes around a minute to play out, but didn't seem to affect anything afterward.
The lets go one is actually throughout the entire game. Every battle that your rival uses an item, it's coded to read "you used" every battle
Imagine being a kid, playing red/blue and your eevee you were training all of a sudden becomes a Vaporeon. That could have been either really cool or really tragic depending on what you wanted...
In the credits for Sword & Shield, you could see a cursor go along the Maximizers' performance.
Everyone says that but I’ve never been able to find it while actually watching those credits on the game itself
My favorite glitch is the boulder duplication in Hoenn discovered by a fish.
Gold and Silver had an error with one of the apricorn balls. I think it was the moon ball. It would have worked on something that evolved with a burn heal but no Pokémon evolves that way. And some of the balls would work on stuff you can’t encounter in the wild
There’s a tile in pokestar studios in B2W2 you can surf on
They also showed Gardevoir in XY’s trailer using a move it couldn’t learn iirc
Only a few of the gen 2 apricorn balls actually work as intended
Love balls only work on the same genser as your own Pokemon as well.
And the Turbo Ball only working on some specific random Pokémon instead of ones that run away from battles
The only two special balls that work throughout gen 2 are the Lure Ball and the Friend Ball
@@JAY-RIZZY You mean the Fast Ball?
The first FRLG mistake I ever noticed was when you meet Janine in Fuchsia after beating the League but her name is provided as Charine
Do you meet her or is she just mentioned by someone?
@robertlupa8273 you meet her behind the Chansey zoo enclosure where she'll say her dad is Koga
Then when you check the fame checker entry under Koga the name will be Charine and not Janine
In that double battle with the error of one of the trainers says a jumbled mess I thought this wasnt a mistake as a kid, I thought he was just so shocked that I defeated him that he just couldn't speak right
my favorite glitch in BDSP has to be going into the void to get event legendaries...
mainly because that was in the original Sinnoh region...
Legends Arceus saying you caught the pokemon unawares is still funny to me
"Let's move on to Briliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, and some may argue these games themselves are a mistake"
That hit very close to home
ONE MORE: In Gen 5 (I can’t remember if it’s in BW or BW2) there’s an NPC, a grandma, that always talks at one speed slower than you have set. If you have it set to slow, she talks even SLOWER. I’m fairly certain she’s in the town that you can receive N’s Zorua in.
I don't think that's a mistake given that N will always speak faster than your set text speed, so if you set it to the fastest option N has a unique faster speed. So maybe the devs wanted to mess around with the slowest text too.
@@ArtzyZero maybe? There’s nothing notable about the NPC other than that though.
@@JordyPordy10 I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to mess with the mechanic but didn't want to annoy the player and so put it on a random NPC. There's plenty of instances like that, NPC's that do/say something weird just because the devs could.
"The Pokemon that *ruins* space"
Ah yes, those pesky Palkias, always ruining perfectly good space. And don't even get me started on those Dialgas, they ruin time something fierce!
In the Unova games in the deeper parts of the Giant Chasm, there is a line of trees that you can walk through
In SwSh there are Unused Physical Attack animations in the Pokedex for all Gigantamax Forms before the Isle of Armor. These dont get used in battles due to the game switching to Special Attack animations only once a Dynamax Pokemon is on the field. Tge exceptions are for Pokemon like Reshiram that have a unique animation once they use a specific move, like Fusion Flare for Example
I experienced the Cherrim glitch in Legends firsthand. Was streaming it on Twitch and bumped into one and I spent like 5 minutes trying to throw Poké Balls at it, and it kept popping out, so I assumed it was a bug because of how it was happening, but I wasn't sure what the bug was, makes sense it was tied to the transformation
5:50 My favorite example is Jynx being the HUMAN POKéMON.
One in BDSP that I'm not sure was patched or not is when you first enter Sunnyshore and immediately press left, you will walk backwards and Flint will talk to your back, so it looks like you're ignoring him.
one of biggest mistakes is weavile's and skuntank's moveset
The thing with the XY daycare sign is intentional- it's to avoid lagging because usually players will run with their bikes up and down there, and the sign would probably cause the game to lag if the function was implemented with just how fast the bike is and needing to turn your head to the sign while at it
Another issue in ORAS is when you walk using the circlestick, then switch to the D-pad, your character will do the “take off rollerskates” hop they do in XY. It’s really odd.
I think this is just them snapping to the D-Pad grid.
7:00 as yes, the ruiner of space and time Dialga and Palkia. On brand with the mistakes compilation.
Technical using onyx is still a stone evolution XD
In Black and White 2, if you are inside a Hidden Grotto and your Repel runs out right before the exit, you can't leave the HG unless you take a step upwards before trying to leave
I actually noticed the Let's go full restore mistake. When I saw it, I thought "Wtf, I didn't use one, my rival did! Wait, did I actually lose one?" and checked the bag.
A mistake in BDSP is that the games actually have flags that determine what version it is instead of using separate roms.
wait really? so i could play diamond and pearl with 1 game if i changed the flag manually (if that would be possible)
@@beingDuffy yeah
@@beingDuffy yes
11:50 I like to think that has in-game logic where Regieleki is so beyond-godly fast that Trick Room is just not powerful enough to work on it 😂 sorta like Kaioken Blue Goku breaking through Hit’s time-skip
But that's been working since gen 3 with Ninjask and Deoxys.
In B2W2, wasn't there a spot of trees at the PokerStars Studios where you could Surf?
And I love the little glitch for Legends Arceus that lets you duplicate getting Grit items for releasing Pokemon.
"Mistakes happen, even for Pokémon " could honestly be * especially for Pokémon lately😂
Can confirm, the Egg nickname mistake is also functional in Scarlet/Violet - sincerely, someone who named their Frigibax 'Egg'
In Gen 7, they mistakenly gave Gengar a different ability. Kinda weird that it never got fixed
They've mistakenly gave Regigigas half the attack and speed in battle and that hasn't been fixed in any game since his release date.
They did the same in Gen 6 with Chandelure. They really have a bad track record of that with Ghost type mons.
@@bobjoe3492 That wasn't a mistake, that was for balance reasons.
@@christiancinnabars1402 what do you mean with chandelure?
And in gen 4 they accidentally made Murkrow lose 20 base speed instead of giving it 20 base speed on evolution, making Honchkrow a slow frail mixed attacker instead of a reliable glass cannon. What a weird and totally accidental mistake to make and not fix.
In SV there was an oversight on the items gotten during event tera raids with Great Tusks and Iron Treads trying to give their tm material but that do have a item to give so it gave "None" and crashed the game immediately after the raid also random tera type iron treads raids were shiny locked while all other raids were able to be shiny
Is not really related to Pokémon, but in an official Italian Nintendo Magazine dedicated to Pokémon Platinum, "Cyrus" is named "Ciro" instead, despite being called "Cyrus" in the game.
And... nothing, it's funny.
One that I recently learned: If a Pokémon that can evolve by friendship is transferred to a different game using Pokémon Bank, it will be blocked from being able to evolve through friendship. Found out the hard way with my Azurill ribbon master.
in pokémon black and white, there’s a glitch i found in the ice gym where you can slide inside of a rock with no collision
I remember years ago hearing that in either one of the gen one games or its remakes there's a line of dialogue that has a lower case 'L' in place of an upper case 'i'
Didn’t sword and shield have a mouse cursor in the credits?
Yep! Very obviously too if you’re paying attention.
In ORAS's German language, the Hiker who gives the TM for Flash calls it a VM,the full name is supposedly Versteckte Maschine and the translation is for Hidden Machine instead of the letters for Technical Machine as it should be which leaves it as TM(The word for it is supposedly Technische Maschine but I don't speak a lot of German so apologies if I got either word wrong)
The words are right
@@jascha8681 Thanks for clarifying it,I'd hate to have butchered another language
That glitch in BDSP in Candice's Gym, is like, the only glitch I've used in BDSP. Everything else I've intentionally done in that game was the intended thing to progress. I just didn't feel like tackling all of Candice's Gym Trainers on a sliding on ice Gym puzzle before fighting her, because ice physics are not fun. There IS a glitch in that game though that I've done many times, that I never intend to use. If on the "pause menu" you cycle between it and the menus you can access through it, too fast, it's possible that the game will fail to display the text on the pause menu explaining something, and just lock up entirely, forcing you to close and reopen the game to play. Thank goodness I have autosaves on at times when I accidentally trigger that glitch
On legend arceus, when you use shadow force with a shiny giratina in origin form the game simply crashes
In Pokemon Stadium 2 when Bugsy's Heracross uses Megahorn he calls it Megaphone lol.
Pokemon makes mistakes.... you dont say? Finally the third eye opens
Because of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Event Dens being brought up in this vid, can we talk about the Tusks and Treads Event that tried to call nonexistent Pokemon Materials for these Paradox Pokemon?
12:37 The gym leader is called Glacia.
stone glitch is wild this is my first time hearing about it
Its really cool that more people are learning about it
I had a weird glitch happen to me in Scarlet and Violet that I know Absolblogspokemon has covered as well. I was doing a Titan Pokémon battle and at the end of it there’s an intentional cutscene I guess I would call it where you see your Pokémon that won the battle, well my Wooper evolved during that battle so it evolved to Clodsire but then next to it was a Wooper, and then it cuts to that Wooper as being the one that won the battle lmao
In generation 3 they made a change to prevent soft locks where you cant release your last HM capable pokemon. However, due to an oversight you can put it in the day care and softlock yourself on an island or no possible way to make money. Though the chances of softlocking yourself by accident this way is very slim due to the huge setup required to make it a softlock. Still a mistake.
If you want to mess with your friends heres an easy softlock using this method. First have a pokemon with teleport then progress until you reach pacifilog town. Do not pick up any fishing rods. Heal at the pokemon center then go store your two surf and fly pokemon in the day care. Release all other pokemon besides the teleport pokemon. Discard all items and spend all money. Teleport back to pacifilog and save. Hand the game to a friend. Once you save you're stuck in that tiny area forever with nothing to do. You can't surf or fly out, you have no money to buy pokeballs and even if you did you couldn't catch any pokemon because of no fishing rod. That save is eternally trapped there.
Fire Fang ignoring Wonder Guard is so cool, as well as Pokémon being fast enough to ignore Trick Room.
I feel like a big mistake you forgot to mention is when Game Freak allowed Scarlet and Violet to be released that unfinished.
The Trainer won't look at the daycare sign. Maybe Calem & Serena just don't care about the pok'emon daycare house and find it worthless.
I wonder if it's because they knew players would be moving back and forth on this route hatching eggs and having the character look at the sign might've slowed things down overtime?
In the gen 2 games, the Pokeballs made from Apricorns are messed up and don't do what they're supposed to, thanks to mistakes in the coding.
There’s a typographical mistake in BW2 where if you show a tiny Pokemon to a Youngster in Accumula Town, he will say “Wow! Amazing! a ( Pokemon species name ) is so tiny!”
I call that Trick Room Speed glitch “Tricking the Trick Room” as well as “Outspeed the Trick Room”.
There are also a couple mistake in SV that you’d only really know about if you play competitively. In doubles, if tatsugiri’s ability commander activates and it goes into dondozo’s mouth, dondozo will get stat boosts and it’s signature move order up gives another stat boost every time it’s used. Initially this boost happened no matter what, even if order up was used on a target that protected itself, but this was a bug and was fixed.
Also when the update introducing walking wake and iron leaves came out, the ability cud chew had a bug introduced to it. Instead of activating once the turn after a berry was eaten, it actually activated every other turn for the rest of the battle as long as the berry could have an effect. This has also been patched however
Calling Red and Blue “mistakes” is fighting words in my house, guaranteed a table’s getting flipped 😂
In gen 9, you could get the "None" item from Great Tusk and Iron Treads raids, which crashed the game after exiting the raid victory screen
There's a single tall grass tile in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 that doesn't behave like a tall grass tile
And there's a single Water tile that wont let you Surf because it lacks the code that enabes the player to do so.
The Burned Tower Rival "mistake" actually exists in all the Johto games, as in no version is it required to go to Burned Tower before Olivine. However, given that the Rival leaves Olivine in the direction of Burned Tower this doesn't strictly have to be a mistake. In this version of events, he just visited Olivine first.
And yes, I've played Red & Blue many times. They're wonderful :)
a recent raid event for Scarlet and Violet would also attempt to give the player TM material rewards for pokemon that did not have TM materials, resulting in essentially a null item. The game would then crash. this is why this raid event was postponed after a little while.
Another one in Legend Arceus: in battle with wild Pokémon, especially with multiple ones, sometimes the name or level of an opposing Pokémon wouldn’t be displayed. Not sure if it’s a glitch or mistake but it’s still fun.
Found two mistakes in this video!!!
First- the word is RULES, not RUINED
Second- when evolving you don’t see a transparent Pokémon, you see a translucent Pokémon!
5:06 The Gen 3 games were patchable. There was even a batch for the internal clock called Berry Update.
I never said they were impossible to patch. Just that it isn’t easy to patch games that didn’t connect online
@@PaPaSea Yes. Technically that was still interesting. The multi-boot system “Single Pak-Linking” was used by some games which allowed you to play with four devices, but only one cartridge. The berry update did not change the ROM of the game, but only fixed a value in the RTC memory, which is volatile. So when the battery runs out, you have to patch the game again.
In Red/Blue if you trade a Riachu for an Electrode on Cinnibar Island the guy who received the Raichu will say that the Raichu you gave him evolved. Was this a translation error or was this hinting at the lost Pokemon Gorachu?
It was a translation error because in the Japanese Blue version you trade a Kadabra for his Graveler. This happens with the Jynx trade in Cerulean as well.
There is a very specific tree in PokéStar studios you can surf on
I always kinda like to brag when watching these sort of knowledge videos about pokemon, because usually I already have learned about what's said in the video at some point before. This whole video just had me in awe at how little I really know about the games 😢
This is pretty unrelated to the video, just wanted to give you another thanks for that chat we had over alcohol sponsorship a while ago. It's still a struggle, but that interaction has really helped me not drink just knowing that someone cared like that. Excited to watch this video!
i got a one i think?
if you use a pokedoll on the lavender town ghost you dont have to go through the celadon game corner because you need the silph scope to see the marowak
9:05 That's not the only error, they also forgot the word "in."
In the version 1.1.0 update to BDSP, the PokeRadar item randomly got nerfed. Instead of the normal rates for the chain continuing, it had a lesser chance of it continuing. It was fixed in 1.2.0, restoring the normal rates.
1.0.1 to 1.2.0: 64/74/84/94. This was the normal rates for PokeRadar.
1.1.0: 54/64/74/84. These were the nerfed rates.
Not really a glitch but the demo for I believe ORAS contains the entire games code.
I don't think ORAS does(could be wrong) but the DP demo definitely contains the full game. If you can escape the demo area you can experience the full region and see a bunch of neat beta pokemon. It's very crash happy though.
Fairy lock in Gen 8 Sword and Shield used to freeze and crash the game when used in online battle.
Fun fact: In Wellspring Cave, the tile to the left of the exit (impossible to reach) can spawn a dust cloud. It happened to me one time, but never anymore.
Here's a mistake, not delaying Scarlet and Violet😅
I mean, is it a mistake if they didn't have the option to delay?.
I like how the cute little Pokémon on the thumbnail seems to have an expression like, “can’t catch me! Wee!”
Okay so gen 3 mawile made the list but not for the reason it should have. The true mistake is that it's a steel type with claws but can't even learn metal claw. Meanwhile nubby Aron can learn it even though it has nubs and I'll never forgive gamefreak for it. Also the word "it's" an apostrophe can be used for something that someone owns. For example this is papasea's channel. So it's lair isnt really a mistake lol
I personally always loved the mistake of the trainer in gen 1 (cinnabar island) telling you that the Raichu you traded to them had evolved.
Admittedly I found out later this was because originally Raichu was intended to be able to evolve to Gorochu (I really wish they'd made that a thing!), but still, it never failed to amuse me as a kid playing this game because "Dude... how?!"
adding onto this, my fave oversight was the fact that you could battle your rival on route 2 (on the way towards the elite 4) the theory being that you would most likely take this path before you headed to the next town for your first gym, thus his pokemon are seriously low level and he only has like..2? maybe 3?
However, if you should avoid that path, since you don't actually need to go on it until you want to go to the Elite 4, and then head there when you're ready for the final battles... he's still there. With his low levelled pokemon making the fight even easier. The dialogue stays the same too for the record.
7:48 I can't help but feel that its intentional. They just put evey other letter on a different line. However I'd have no idea what the significance of such an implementation would be.
not the pokemon named after the warriors of darkness 😭😭😭 please tell me there is a seto somewhere to go with ardbert
I remember in the early days of bdsp it was possible to get stuck behind npcs in a city (I think veilstone) and no matter what you did they wouldnt move so you had to restart your game.
yeah those NPCs which give u Zoom Lens and Wide Lens
I remember the "you used a full restore" error. I swear it did it all the time for me...
it's the only message that plays in those games, to my knowledge
REAL talk, Red and blue are less glitchy than scarlet and violet. They have LEGIT game playing issues. Red and blue literally has nothing unless you are looking for them. I played the HECK out od red in the day and ran into NO glitches. Ive played scarlett and violet and ran into a couple game ending glitches WITHOUT trying to make one. I am using the game AS INTENDED(ironic you don't understand this when this is the name of your series) and it bugged out. I know the 3d vd 2d and eras of differences BUT that game was made on the back of a pita pocket warming plate memory chip by 4 poor people over 6 years as scarlet violet was made by an almost 30 year old company, "BIGGEST FRANCHISE ON EARTH" game with hundreds of employees. That is A MESS. Red and blue were DECENT!
The snowy Raidons isn’t intentional, but it should not be patched out. It’s one of those glitches that should be considered a feature.
5:18 Lmfao I just discovered that bug yesterday while looking for the regis on a spanish version of ruby, I thought I was the first to notice but I realize that with the longevity of those games it was quite impossible
Me and my friend both encountered this really weird glitch in BDSP that would rename our nicknamed pokemon to random human names after evolution and we still have no idea why. but man it was so funny.
For a video about mistakes and grammar errors, there were a lot of mistakes and grammar errors in it xD
Going inside an npc is amazing. I can finally fulfill my dream.of being a pokemon npc
Suction Cups doesn't work the way it's supposed to in Gen 4 because of an error, and it wasn't fixed in BDSP either
A very rare to encounter one, but in gen 4 if you were to encounter two of the same wild pokemon and they were both shiny, the game freezes (Ex. Two shiny Budew when you escort Cheryl)
also in gen 4, the three ace trainers are seen on route 24 (Johto) They normally battle you consecutively, however due to an over sight, only the first can see you from the moment you enter the area. after beating the first two, you are intended to take a step down and initiate the last battle, but if you instead back out of the area and come back, the first two trainers will be in their original positions, and you can walk to the side of the last trainer. if you talk to her from either side she will give the text she would if you had defeated her, as she will only initate a battle if you walk infront of her.
also in gen 4, in japanese platinum you can have a never ending (or well, looping battle) with Ace Trainer Deanna, and it will only end when you black out.
I will say Im surprised you didnt mention the Luminose save oversight which iirc could corrupt data or smth like that, and it was bad enough that the glitch was patched out and it was pretty well known
12:38 nahhh not falling for that one chief but good try I respect it 💯
12:37 Candice balls
