Do you like the EMG 81 pickup in the neck position? Sounds great I'm just curious about using a guitar pickup on a bass. Does it cut better than a regular bass pickup?
Most of the time guitar pickups do not have as much winding as a bass pickup and are rather weaker. Which will give it a thinner sound. Take a Rickenbacker for example. The pickups in a rick bass closely resemble the ones in the rick guitars. Most rick basses do not have a good amount of low end but are great for overdriven and distorted tones. You can use a guitar pickup in a bass but don't expect a very strong sound.
Marco Sitorus I know I'm late, but that is actually the EMG 81 Pickup on there. It's the neck Pickup. It's a a high gain guitar pickup, so it has a built in distorted sound!
Butterpants1987 i own one shecter i have the stiletto deluxe 4 good bass sound great but the quality y not that good and also own a musicman stingray and bro theirs so much difference between schecter and musicman is not just price is quality bro quality
@@chon4413 ive had the exact opposite experience. ill be buying a riot 4 bass. probably going to buy a banshee as well. ive got a few hellraiser guitars that are some of the best guitars ive ever played. probably going to buy a silver mountain guitar pretty soon as well. im mostly a guitar player, but ive bought quite a lot of schecters after being a hardcore les paul guy. i choose my hellraisers over my les paul custom now.

its just an E minor Pentantonic scale just mess around with these notes down at the 7th fret on the A. Also its a peddle tone on th open E
