Here we do all these things manually and so precisely with only some grinding stones and polishing stones ,at the end we use polishing paper to polish the tool cutting or engraving one
I bought Apex Dual angle, it has black fixture called Dual Angle, when I tried your way to line up stone setter graver: HSS GRS Q-C52 graver, HSS GRS QC-2/0 Onglette or QC-K2 (Knife 2), I can not make graver line up in the right angle. Please help. Really apricate it.
I like how your videos are on the equipment. But can you do a video on how to make a jewelry piece of different metals and the solder/joining of the different metals? Thank you!
I've done several of those. I just did two videos where I solder different metals together: ua-cam.com/video/qkz7jnZ8tjM/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/rv9hoeUcgmQ/v-deo.html. There are probably 20 others on my channel. Hope this helps.
You're a star, ye are girl! (That's what the Irish Bloke next door to me always says. I always offer to get any shopping he may need, but to be truthful, I think he likes the Bookies and has a flutter on the ponies, coz he always declines. He's a proper sweetheart tho! I think there's a video telling you how to make your own gravers and scoring tools out of the tang end of old files (you just thingy them to make the right angles you want)....oho another Senior Moment. ..my phone remembered that hoho...I must be having quite the day lol...I'm sure you can work out what the 'thingy' is I usually know what you mean, even if the word escapes me...slippery buggers!
I checked in the book "Creative Stone Setting" by John Cogswell, (pgs.127 - 150) and the bottom part (closest to the metal) is called the "belly" so maybe the top is called the "back"? It doesn't give a name for that specific part (that I could find). There are the face and the "shaft" which is described and shows the different swooping shapes etc. Maybe it's the shaft, with belly and [back]? It's called "da ada side, li' dat! K den!
You’re the best Nancy. A great teacher with great content and always sharing your knowledge . Thanks so much!

All the best Nancy Hamilton, Thank you.
Thank you Nancy your video helped me alot . I too don't know the names of the parts.

Did you need to grind the handle part of the graver down before it sat in the black peg?
