until i seen how much they took out, next time ill get a gift card and avoid the fees
Just so you know there's option to use a gift card for the store so it doesn't take any of your money I would recommend doing that otherwise you should find a bank that has a queen town just trying to help

Did you check to see if you had any 1982 Pennies or prior
Usually the silver coins get rejected out because it goes by weight. Just like if you put in a 1943 steel penny. It will get rejected out. So you won't necessarily lose them if you know what it is & why it got rejected.
This is a smart way to make some money! I remember doing this when I was little!

I think I would open up an account in a bank that had its own coin star machine that will deposit the full amount in your account then use it as a saving buffer or just use it as is. Either that or amazon gift card and that’s Christmas sorted.
well i have a bank account but they dont allow filming in the bank so im stuck with coin star. the only reason i do it is because it seems to do well on youtube. I also have a huge one coming up!
Hey sometimes it kicks back out the silver coins and won't count them .any thing before 64 in quarters dimes and half dollars and half dollars up to 69 are 40% the ones before 64are 90%silver coinstar kicks them back out sometimes but there worth more because there silver.blessings.
o there is no way there was any silver in there, soon as it touches my hand i know its silver. Got a silver dime at a convenience store about 6 months ago but nothing since...Thanks for watching

I never used a Coinstar machine before. But I gotta say. It's awesome, it's worth it and useful for using that machine for putting in lots of coins in for getting a good amount of cash.

Those machines always under count your money. I took exactly $95.88 in change to my bank. Their machine counted $87 and change. I called them out. They did an audit and claimed their numbers were correct.

I shove my spare coins in2 a self service checkout machine at my local supermarket and they dont charge 8% like Coin star do in England.
yeah they are a bit of a rip off but for some reason this video has done really well so its a good trade off
You need to dump the rejects back into the machine a couple more times. It will often take them. Then you were talking about the machine taking a percentage. You have the option of getting an Amazon card for 100% of what you put into it. So you don't lose anything.
Invent something and take your percentage! The inventor of Coin Star saved you a ton of time in rolling your own. Thank him and toast him with the drinks you buy. BTW if you take a Amazon gift card you pay nothing.
Im always re investing thats my life, so the fees are ok. And i always roll my own lol

I don’t understand why people pay money to have their coins changed in this manner. My bank does it for free and I suspect a lot of banks do also.
i hear ya but my bank wanted to take my coins and transfer them to another branch that has a coin counter ahhhh no thanks! But the biggest factor for me is look how many views this video got, that has made me way more then the coin star fees lol

yeah coinstar is more fun and we get so much change that it ends up getting in the way. I make coinstar videos in hopes of making more off the video than i paid in fees.

Don’t ever use coinstar. They take some of your money. Just do it at the bank and get the full amount.

I cashed in $500 worth of Susan B. Anthony dollars today at my credit union. There was no fee. All $500 went into my account.

If this Dolt owned these machines, he'd be griping that the 11% isn't enough to chare! These machines aren't cheap to make & maintain. If you wanted 100% of your money, just take a jar to walmart when you shop & pay from it.

And that's how people get to be poor. Every company wants a percentage to help pay for their building and supplies. Why couldn't the people claim that we too have to pay for our house and groceries etc.
Get a gift card. No fee on a gift card. Add the 12% and it likely would be more. Just get a gift card next time to avoid the fee.

Grrrrrrrr.. such a waste.. You just gave away over $30.00.. Now if I may suggest.. find a bank or a C.U. that will allow you to open CDs for as little as $100.. And don't tell me they don't exist because in my home town I have three different institutions that do..Then open three CDs @ 3, 6, and 9 month increments..Every three months a CD will mature, and you can add whatever spare change you collected to the maturing CD as you convert it to a 9 month..Eventually you will have enough in a single CD ( $200.00) to split it.. Over time you will have a nice "Emergency Fund" to draw from..Yes its a savings program.. but this one has a couple of fangs.. Even short term CDs earn 5-7 times what you would get from a typical savings account
Calm down! The reasons i used coin star are simple, Im sure no bank is going to let me film. Two i seen where coin star videos do well on youtube so ive done two. The first one got 40k views and made over $200 in ad revenue. This one has not done as well, but it could still take off. Honestly I rather invest in myself, I can walk into ANY thrift store, flea market, garage sale etc and make money and its much more fun then watching paint dry while it makes money in the bank! 😁
