I think that even a reliable "100x" caption refers to the original optical magnification, not the size displayed on screen. The size we see varies depending on the screen size.
Perhaps one could determine this lens's power by taking 2 photos of the same subject from the same distance with the same device. One photo would be with this added lens and the other without it. Then the photos would be compared.
