I think he stole her story so that he could get empathy. I think he’s a narcissist because they are the only ones that cheat. Most men will end the relationship before starting another one because of guilt or they will just not cheat and withdraw from their wife, hoping that the wife changes her bad behavior.
They do it all the time and try to be more relatable so that you feel bad for them. The neighbor story sounds identical to her story and he was moving his eyes around as if he was trying to make it up along the way. Even iyana had to tell him to close his eyes. No emotions at all while he said it.
Sexual abuse and rape is happening worldwide, and it's mostly happening in the household. It is also happening in churches, schools, and elsewhere, but it is kept concealed. It's not only happening to toddlers, young girls, and boys, but also to young men, and women. Many of them don't speak about it! Only some, children when they become adults will be brave and speak about it.
SA is still very much a taboo subject across the globe.People don't realize what repercussions s@x can have in somebody's upbringing .It's a heinous crime .
Iyanla is just beautiful, inside and out! She wears the most beautiful clothes. I pray that Iyanla finds a husband who gives her all the love she gives to people.
You can see that they truly love each other..right from the beginning, its just that life happened on them from childhood. 😢i pray they receive their healing right from each other arms.
I always try my hardest not to cry while watching these episodes; it never works though, my eyes get leaky. Loved the ending. So many couples that love each other break up for some childhood trauma that cause them to act out. Transparency is the key for a solid foundation. ❤❤❤
Man! The difference in their being is visible! They went from looking drained and dull to a spark being back in their eyes and love on their faces ❤ I love Iyanla! She just knows how to help people dramatically
@jesseniavargas6969 I saw yesterday a man that was facing 20 years for meth . 10 for sl on his child I was furious. If you want to hurt you. More power to you. If you want to hurt an enf... now it's a problem for me. And you get less for sl and more for meth . Already a big problem.
I believe her adoptive parents were pedophiles. That's why the neighbor violated her. I know a woman whose husband has violated so many young women. He pays them off. His wife has told people she's not leaving. She said he makes good money and she won't leave that money. So disgusting..
Yep,don’t be mesmerized by the top of the iceberg,it’s almost always something deeper that happened in their childhood and that my friend is the bottom of the iceberg.
Im not on anyones side here but any male who refuses to disclose a previous marriage is an extreme red flag. it would be incredibly difficult if not impossible for me to open up so such a person.
Yes! Schooling might help, but this is not it! It's beyond any classroom or lecture hall. This is a gift! If it was schooling, then all therapists, psychologists, etc, would be doing these healing turnarounds instead of years upon years office visits. 😢
Iyanla is a true empath. She’s able to read people and adjust her approach to them in a way they they will be able to recieve it almost instantly after meeting them.
Having 4 boys I appreciated the husband opening up about his S abuse. Lord!! Help Us!! We def need harsher punishment for these monsters that take advantage of kids
I saw the love in both their eyes and face. What trusting eachother can change in a person. Love you Iyanla. Thank you for sharing this with us ❤ From Suriname 🇸🇷
Dang. The staff should have had the bed made, flowers out, candles on! C'mon OWN! She's there with a fresh makeover making up a bed...Maybe they thought that would turn them on?😂
Iyanla Vanzant, an amazing human being, a healer, thank you my dear sis. Although I have never had therapy in my life, anytime I watch her show, I feel like I went to a therapy session. Ms. Vanzant, you are truly an inspiration. Thank you so very much!❤❤❤😊
She doesnt trust him, bcoz she had not also dealt with the mistrust that often grows from sexual abuse. Its pathological mistrust that needs healing, before thinking u would be able to trust another person.
Marriage is a beautiful union of two souls, a promise of love and commitment. A wedding is a celebration of this union, a joyful occasion where families and friends come together to witness and support the couple's journey ahead. It marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with love and happiness.
She told her to stop and take a breath and she did that so Tiffany wouldn't become triggered and start to disassociate. Talking about child sa abuse can be horrifying.
So lovely I wish I knew you in my bad marriage I no longer have a husband, but I am so happy watching you help other marriages to be hole again. God bless you, my dear you are the best.🙏🏽❤️
@donnalewis9951 It's not that I dont think Iyanla wants her to stop her from telling her story period, but to stop telling the story when there's a manipulative motive behind sharing it. As mentioned in the end, she used other peoples sorrow and pity to make herself feel better. It's not malicious but it's still manipulative. She had a problem of putting her feelings and experience above others because she had a sad upbringing; no one is taking that away from her, but she is taking away other peoples feelings and experiences by using it to overshadow what they're going through.
Its sad, that both of them met each other, and both have all that trauma that happened to them when they was young.if they was truthfull and talk about all this during their courtship.the marige would of been ok.too many secrets.
OMG! There is so much we do to make ourselves feel better. Objects are supposed to be used, not people. When we have the need to use people to feel better about ourselves, we don't really matter to ourselves.🤔
It’s crazy how so many issues on this show come down to being sexually violated in your childhood

So Powerful Huh??❤
Don't see the truth in this affirmation, how is she using him?
@@angelicacroitoru4946she meant using her daughter to feel better about herself

Got me in tears. Holding on to pain instead of risking feeling powerful. Wow.

Yes!!! That hit home
Iyanla be so dramatic and I love it😂
Lmfaoo
She has to break through some serious walls.
The way she tore that picture up and said put that together 😂😂😂😂
I'm totally stuck to this ..I have gained alot of knowledge through Iyanla

More than counseling I've ever had over the coarse of 15 years. Felt pointless
Iyanla is the epitome of truth
She cuts really deep to heal unseen wounds.
God bless her wisdom ❤

I'm crying at the makeover. Wow, she looks wonderful. A beautiful woman.
I’m only 8 minutes in I can tell this couple wants this relationship to work, I can see they are each navigating wounds
Iyanla is just beautiful, inside and out! She wears the most beautiful clothes. I pray that Iyanla finds a husband who gives her all the love she gives to people.
Iyanla is the spiritual/ moral guide we all need right now. We’ve been lost for minute now and these episode represent why elders are so important. ❤
Not Iyanla telling them their room is "tight" 😂😂😂
MULTIPLE times
Why is that funny to you
@NSmith-qn2sb I think because it was borderline rude, and she said it more than once. I felt a little bad for them when she said it, but it's true!
And the room doesn't become of a woman make it inviting
Not she finna make love to your husband 😂
I pray their love grows deep
I am so sorry she was so violated as a child.... I'm infuriated 😔💕
Omg, i wanna hug her, to hear that after you tell you mother your being sexually abused
You can see that they truly love each other..right from the beginning, its just that life happened on them from childhood. 😢i pray they receive their healing right from each other arms.
I remember this episode. This episode made me re evaluate my existence.

How many. How many time do i hear about SA. How many times . This needs to stop. This needs to stop.
🙏🏻I agree with you 100% what also needs to stop is victims called LIARS & is why healing is so rare.💔

EXPEDITIOUSLY
manz would've been immediately single
He was afraid she would talk to the ex and discover stuff. It could have just been shame of failure. I'm not proud to disclose my marriages either....
Not disclosing this information would’ve been a deal breaker for me once I found out!
I think I would've taken off once I found that out. Technically, his omission was fraud. I would've given dude his freedom; but that's just me.

Thankyou Own network for uploading keep them flowing... watching from Kenya 🇰🇪 and learning alot.😊 Please upload fiancee or family episode as well
Sis, I am using her tactics here in Zambia
She's helped me do my work and I continue doing it.
Following her all through from Kenya too , family secrets.
This episode has made me look at myself and change the narrative of poor me. I need to move forward!

If a partner cheats you decide whether you forgive, and move on. But, to me it is a hard thing to forgive; and to trust after.
This was beautiful. Yes Iyanla ❤
They both seem like loving people, she's pretty and he seems kind, prayers things work out for the best ❤❤
I can relate to her and so many other women can relate too. Lord Bless US on being heal.....

Tiffany definitely puts her feelings first with everything.
Dang iyanla you talking to her or me????? 😂
So do we just brush over that he cheated on her?
They didn't, Iyanla addressed it. Besides, it happened years ago and they still stayed together despite it.
It's even talked about starting at 0:24 promo
It was addressed. It was a symptom of a bigger problem. They addressed the actual problem without shaming him for his mistakes
did you not watch the same video? 🧐

Excellent episode. Great therapy for married couples or for those who wish to be married.
Most people who were violated in their childhood turn to have dysfunctional lives and relationship. Really sad...
Am I first?!! Oh my goodness!👏💫💞 I *love* Iyanla so much!! Thank you @OWN for posting this!🎉🎊💜💞💫👏👏
They still need to be wearing their hard hats.
Iyanla’s wisdom is outstanding , she is an icon ❤
this was 11 yearss ago but im so happy for them!
I'm still laughing, the end finished me, Gen needs a picture 😂😂😂
It's called present, honest, and accountable....
The ending was so beautiful 😍, I hope they continue working on themselves and their love together ❤

Forgiveness is so important to change and move forward. Great job and Continued Blessings to the host and this couple ❤❤
I tapped my hand and i swear i was about to go through something. I had to stop. Will try again later.

I'm glad the episode ended with the happy ending. Although I do think it's crazy to selfishly adopt a kid because your husband wasn't ready.
Not selfish at all, I'm sure she planned on being a mom before marrying him. He wasn't going to stop her from doing that.
I think they are much better but I still feel like they love each other but don't want to truly be together.
I need a update ❤
OMG! There is so much we do to make ourselves feel better. Objects are supposed to be used, not people. When we have the need to use people to feel better about ourselves, we don't really matter to ourselves.🤔
We always have to look inside the self to move forward and upward in lifes relationships
Through all the struggles they haven't given up on each other i hope they can work things out.
