everyone always talking about Les, but man Larry Lalonde is a beast on the guitar
Larry LaLonde is the essence of Primus. Without him it's another Claypool solo project
I dont like their bassist, it's the vocalist that keeps me coming back
@@pauljohnpope ...They're the same person lmao and you're insane clearly
@@wynonasbigbrowndragon6121 For the love of God ... thank you ... Larry id criminally under-rated!!
@@27dirtysocks Les Claypool is my favourite musician on earth. But Larry LaLonde is why Primus sounds the way they do compared to say, Oysterhead or TCLD.
"We are Primus... and yes, we do suck." Classic.
Obviously you know nothing about Primus and their "catch phrase"
@@ironnads7975 shut up
@@ironnads7975 obv that was the joke
Obviously he don’t give a fuck
Primus is fairly good
Les stomping the stage like a boss!
It's the best thing.
Les is more...
@@smwrbd comment of the year
rooster strutting
Didn’t see this show but a year earlier I caught Primus at Lollapalooza and he was doing his best John Cleese/Ministry of Silly Walks impression up there. I never moshed, hopped around and laughed harder at a concert in my life!
Not many bands could consistently smash it live like this. They never miss a beat
The crowd has the energy I need in my life lol
PRIMUS SUCKS!
Nobody has this kind of energy anymore
So happy to have grown up in the 90s. Didn't know how special our time was along with all the music we had.
100% I look at the crap out there now and just feel bad for the kids
The way Les stomps and moves around on stage gives me life 😅
I love when Les just goes for a walk with his bass lol
Brought the biggest smile to my face. Total fuggin funk groove strut with his baby. Some good memories.
Not many guys as entertaining as les on stage or talented for that matter!
“Damn BLUE Collar Tweekers” Not TWO collar tweekers.
Dear god
🤣
"Two" collar tweekers LMAO
WTF don’t put something out that has literally no credibility at first glance!
BWHAHAHAHAHA no shizz.. wtf
I am ashamed to say i only recently discovered primus. I am truly blown away by how good they are.
It’s never too late to discover great music brother -Ka Leb
Same here Eric. Only discovered them in the last 2 months. I’ve decided Mr Claypool is a god.
Weirdest group ever but not bad.
They suck
Yea man theyve been rocking for years. Theyre awesome and even better live
I remember getting the Woodstock 94 double cd for my birthday. This song was my favorite. Got me into Primus 25 years ago, still a fan.
Excellent energy from the audience. You don’t see this anymore with people holding their phones in the air for the entire show.
I feel the same, I would give anything to go back to a time when people would get rowdy. I tried to jump around like crazyy at a les show on the 9th of july and got a dude screaming at me, "how I could have hurt someone"
Smart phones where not available yet
Drop your balls … and have fun… hence the term… rock on!!!🤘🏽
Smart phones are awesome. It's great having all the information in the world in your finger tips. However, they are destroying situations like this where you should be living in the moment. If you want you watch a show through your phone you may as well stay home. I get taking a thirty second video for a memory or something, but people take it way too far.
Yeah, the concert experience just isn’t the same.
A great song, great sound, great performance, by any other name…..is still a great! I always loved their other song “Harry Was A Taxi Driver.”
JERRY was a RACECAR driver… we’re you joking?
@@whotookfuqdog Cmon man! Look at the title of this video and you’ll know.
Ok sarcasm recieved 🤣
and who could forget "ramona's big long penis"
That crowd was feral 😂 😂
Primus fans are about 50% assoles. Their pits are full of idiots who don't even get the culture they're trying to be a part of.
DON'T FALL DOWN in a Primus pit. I watched a fight break out in the pit right in front of the stage, the band played on like nothing was happening (it's their perogative, but it ain't classy) and security stood there and watched.
I just became a Primus fan.... what a performance!! Great song, great bass, hard drum, brilliant hard guitar... and super crowd!!! 😍
Better late than never. Les Claypool is one of the best Bass Players in the world
I was there, my daughter was conceived in the back of my 68 VW van in a muddy corn field. Anarchy at the gates come and go as you please so much fun.
One of those times where the live version is definitely better than the album
Ever heard of phish?
@@realransid91 yup.
@@realransid91 You should check out Oysterhead if you haven't already.
Grateful dead much 😎
@@realransid91 most phish songs are better live
That shirt is absolutely legendary
The way Les bass lines elevates the entire crowd
This was one of my highlights! The energy is still palpable in this video but doesn’t compare to being there - it was amaze balls ! ✌️✌️
I’m so jealous ☺️
The beat has almost a Native American pow wow feel to it. It's spiritual almost. Maybe that's why it's that way
I was in that crowd 🤟
@@BarekHalfhand That's awesome. That crowd is fucking mental haha! 🤟🏼
I was there. Will never forget it.
I wish i was alive for this, what a spectacle
That bass solo is one of my all time favs to pull up
You know Les and Co. had to have so much adrenaline running through them when they came out and were met by this immense crowd!! I still remember ordering all three days on pay per view, bought some shrooms, weed and a little booze with my close four friends and made it as close to going as possible. To be 15-16 years old again. :)
Dang, you kidz weren't playing! I love to see teens put down the video games long enough to do something 😎.
TMDWU
Im 18 right now, I wish I was 18 back then and got to experience Woodstock 1996
1998*
1994* fuck I’m so stoned rn
even though it's being played thru youtube and my old bose speaker, i can still feel that bass.
That riff hits so hard 😫
That smile at 4:15 always gets me. He knew everyone there was about to feel it. Love ya Primus
"It has a good beat and it's easy to dance to. I give it an 86, Mr. Clark."

?⁶up
I was 28 at the time... and I was not there.
Worst day of my life!
Joaquine Phoneix really is killer behind those drums
Primus these guys are amazing
All three members of this band Primus are essential to making Primus! If anyone of these band members was someone else, Primus would not be this great!
Legends....
Les is the only original member left.
But they changed members multiple times........so
One of the greatest things I've ever seen
I love their sound.
They are awesome
Take me back to these time please
I finally found myself in the crowd at Woodstock 94. I was in a lot of pits there and was mad that Primus was on the South stage AND overlapping NIN on the North stage. Thank God Nine Inch Nails was delayed and I had to jump fences getting chased the entire way through the back stage area to make the North stage in time. The only other way was back up the mud hill and a slow muddy walk that was over an hour. I went to see Primus, Blind Melon and Nine Inch Nails primarily and I would not be denied.
"I only wanted to be 16 and free, Yeah!"
and I was so I am so glad I finally found a decent shot of me and my muddy Meat Puppets white T shirt almost 30 years later. 🤘🏼
That was a great weekend... We were so much cooler than kids today 🤟
I was there 🤙🏽 Intense
Not a phone in sight, just people enjoying the moment
I mean this is 1994 so there was actually no phones
@@rowdynibe4481 I'm sure he's aware that, Rowdy noob....
Ok, we get it, you're softer than baby sht
Yep. Now we are enslaved & monitored by the minute …
Everyone there is now over 50. Wow
It’s always been cool to know that Larry Lalonde landed with a guy like Les after his days with Possessed.
I'm 100% certain that at least half of the crowd there were chugging beer with shrooms.
Dam so much energy there unreal , now suck on this!
I'm 66 years old & I've always been into all different types of music. I so appreciate the work these guys put in their live shows.
Primus was one of those bands that either you got it or you didn't
You have to feel them; not hear them.
One of my top 10 live performances
I went to this! I had just turned 21 and I remember when Primus came on. The mud started slinging and the mosh pit grew. Great fun up to a point. I remember MTV broadcasting from there and my friends and I would scream “MTV sucks” out loud but they just ignored us lol. Young and stupid we were!
This sounds every bit as good as the studio recording. What a band!
When that fuckin guitar kicks in right in the middle it is beyond perfect!!:))
I saw them same month at Reading uk...fabulous.
Read an interview with Les years ago where he said that the strings on one of his upright basses snapped in the studio. Said his only regret was that it wasn’t plugged in and that the recorder wasn’t going - what a sound that would’ve been, eh?
what song?
Man I miss concerts,Leslie Claypool put the bass up front with awsome metal funk love Primus!!!
I love that Bass!! And I miss the mid/late 90’s…
Being a teen in the 90’s was certainly a time to be alive .. before everything was soft, and being unusual wasn’t the norm .. these songs got a whole generation through hard times
You mean other than the 60s and 70s....right? I mean...vietnam and all.
@@randomsasquatchwithwifi4090 yall at least had jobs.
We got outsourced.
Our future was Burger King if our parents didn't have us set up for college.
Houses cost $35,000 in the 1960s and 1970s and early 80s
No not really.
Stop shaming new generations. It’s not our fault everything is soft. People now are still living like y’all dude back then.
Uffff🎉Les never can be duplicated once in a lifetime kind of a musician
Just saw em with Perfect Circle and Puscifer, mellowed out but that song still has the same energy. Les is a BEAST!
It’s a rare group that develops a unique sound and is technically brilliant at the same time. Primus is such a band. And the only reason they never got a Grammy is because Hollywood asshats misunderstood the lyrics to WBBB.
You just described Rush lol
@@carlybarra6374 And the Police. It’s not a mutually exclusive attribute.
Isn't that song about raising domestic farm animals?
the bands listed above were all 3 piece bands🤔
@@AvgDude The Police have won six Grammys, but I definitely agree that Primus' talents have long been overlooked by the pukes in Hollywood.
Sounded just like this last month at Sessanta :)
When I hear someone say “rip it” I think of this performance.
Look at that crowd moving from the front to the BACK!!! YEEEESSSS
Two collar/blue collar one thing that isn't wrong, this song is amazing
what a beautiful mud pit
That dude is the king of Bass Guitar
Lead guitarist kicks ass one of the best best players of all time base that is way underrated
The greatest bassist ever!!
Nobody's correcting the title it's those damn blue collar tweekers
I was there!!!
I really, really love Primus.
Larry Lalonde is actually playing something that makes sense with the bass!!!😅 Most people claim he plays a total opposite tune to the bass but if you've got a bit of musical background, you can hear how genius his "opposite style" truly is.🙂👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
That’s Primus... Les Claypool invented the bass guitar... tell everyone you know
Close but Geddy Lee of Rush has that claim. Ask Mr. Claypool if you don't believe me. 🤘
@@2ndjoshua268 they are great friends
@@2ndjoshua268 les is a geddy’s fan but geddy was always admirative by les claypool ´s playing
@@2ndjoshua268 He’s not talking my calls... AGAIN! It’s like he doesn’t wanna be friends!
I think it's the other way around Bass Guitar invented Les Claypool
Great video I was there, super fun energy haha...plus see how the light changes from day to stormy dusk in like 10 minutes? Huge rainstorms like 5 times over 4 days yes it was muddy
What a mess, when I was carrying all my gear out I had some good laughs and smiles with other people who where in the same state of disgusting as I was but still amped on the good time!
this song is so fucking hype. the bass in your chest is unlike anything else.
Amazing
How I like the crows without phones.... 1994 I love u
I’m no primus fan but that was amazing
That's because you finally felt them instead of ust hearing them. I bet if you go listen to 'My Name Is Mud' you'll feel it some more.
Beginning to think I will never in my life experience something as amazing as Woodstock '94 must have been. I was already convinced by the NIN preformance
HERB!!!!!!
They’re all good. Herb back there is smooth and super on point.
This is America.
they cut a lot out of this one if you watch their full set he goes into the star spangled banner about half way through
Damn that crowd is LIT!!
Arguably the best bassist of his generation. I have all his projects. Such a versatile musican. Second only to Tony Levin.
This is a great song
Really good bass player.
Understatement of the decade… like saying “that water sure is wet”
God I wish I was there
Les is a hardcore southern boy even though he's a Cally boy.
pretty sure he is liberal, like most musicians
@@timregan1005 being from California.....mmmm yeah!
@tim regan and?
Heiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii yaaaaaaaaaa!!!
I would loved to have been there this would have been a great fucking show he's got it fucking rocking
i could watch les play the bass for hours.
C'mon man, don't be too proud to correct the title from "Two," to "Blue." We all make mistakes. Fortunately, some of them are incredibly easy to correct.
Why'd they cut out Les's "star spangled banner" that he did in the middle of this??!!
I know right
Probably a communist editor
copyright 😂
Look at his shirt. God Bless America.
BLUE collar tweekers, BLUE.
This is impressive. Only 3 guys but it seems like more. So tight.
It's Blue Collar Tweekers kids
So bad ass !
I love how Ler looks like he’s still in high school even to this day!
Look at all those damn people!
4:30 dude just gets rocked in the pit lol
NICE
Im a primus air conditioner goin full blast. Thank you.
