Hopekook rap harmony is on another level.. I love when he does rap harmonys with the rap line bc his diction makes it clear and his pitch is perfection every time. I love them all and they’re all incredible rappers, singers , dancers and performers but it is baffling to me that people think they’re hearing only live raw vocals from all of them… it’s just crazy bc there are quite a lot of vocal effects used on their parts… except for jungkook … to anyone with basic knowledge of sound engineering can hear the difference. They do all sing live.. but audio engineers mix with effects at certain parts to clean up the audio or even just provide power and clarity of the vocal parts. Jungkooks has little to no effects and all you have to do is hear him sing on a vlive with no mic to hear his voice sounds exactly the same if not better than with a mic… the vocalists are all talented but they’re getting older and some have pushed too hard and damaged their vocal chords which causes a lot of voice cracking and being totally off key sometimes… it is physically impossible to sing with no vocal texture at all… so if you hear what’s clearly a normal voice switch to no texture and back again… that’s what that is. There’s nothing wrong with them using this bc they are still exceptional artists who are human with certain limitations… jk is a gifted prodigy and how he sings is not remotely even possible for a lot of people bc he actually is pitch perfect… which is something your born with you can’t learn it. But even here the vocalists are mostly singing with jungkooks parts as their backtrack.. and his tone and texture are very distinct almost metallic sounding… and how he finishes lines is his signature and very unique… it’s so obvious that I just don’t get how people still discredit him and try to say he isn’t their best or strongest singer anymore.. even though bts does. There’s so much of his voice used on these songs that aren’t just his parts and ppl share misinformation online and make up the weirdest lies about jk to boost their own bias. Makes no sense to me… everyone in this group brings something so special that is their absolute star spot in this team and his main one is vocals… irritates me how dismissive people can be. It’s gotten to the point where people will compliment jungkook but turn it into “well we can thank _______ bc jk clearly only learned that from him,” SO many times… it’s the weirdest shit I swear. I’m dying to hear his mixtape and see what our 7 stage legends have in store for us !!!
