Wow you did a brilliant job. Well done. 👏😃👏😃 I have to learn the bass line to this song as I’m playing it with a function band this Saturday and needed a few hints and tips to play it right and you’ve definitely helped me here. Many thanks!! 😃👍
I know what you are saying, and I agree that Shaun did a very good job! But in general there is no sense to compare covers with studio originals. No one has too much freedom when recording a song for the album. As same Guy Pratt said - in the album bass lines are limited to the exact notes that needed for the song on the record, and live you play what you really want to play there and how you feel the mood and energy. Same for all internet covers - majority of them are more interesting than originals lines. But this doesn't mean that the person on youtube is a better player than the one who recorded the song.
@@Nesvod Nothing in what I said means "I like this better because it has more notes". Quite the opposite: I talked about the feel. I also didn't say this guy was a "better player".
I only found out yesterday that this line was written by Pink Floyd's Guy Pratt.
Not surprising, though. Look at the classics Guy has worked on.
I actually prefer your version over the original one, great job!
help I can't stop listening to this
haha everytime I remember this song I spend days listening to it non-stop in all differente versions... helpppppp.... :D :D
Hey good job and spot on this great bass line from the awesome Guy Pratt. Cheers
Entire session took him 17 minutes
@@chroniclesofbap6170 yeah, have you seen his lock down locks? He did this song yesterday.
@@mrbungle7586 yeah... even the lockdown version in YT by Guy has more dynamic... well played though. It's an incredibly groovy bass line.

It's even snappier, bouncier.
Well done!

The bassline in the original song is far too quiet. This is the proper way to listen to it
Totally
Mate. Do you have the tabs to this anywhere on any sort of document! I am in dire need!
Amazing that you never even credited Guy Pratt, who played bass on this track.
Don't think Pratt needs anymore publicity TBH. Did you know he plays with Pink Floyd btw?
Hahaha guy Pratt is so concerned... Shut up and enjoy! He made a really Great job here!
