Del Sol Academy is Las Vegas' best answer for a well-rounded education and artist development. The academy is a comprehensive high school with a performing arts magnet program, bringing together the best elements of high school and the creative arts.
Our 2,400 students are a unique blend of performers, artists, creators, athletes, and scholars. This combination creates a dynamic foundation of support, pride, and diversity. Del Sol Academy is a safe place to learn and grow while building friendships and memories to last a lifetime.
MAGNET
Students from all over the Las Vegas Valley apply to our magnet program. Admitted students are selected based on CCSD magnet application criteria and an audition process.
At Del Sol Academy, students have the opportunity to join one of ten magnet programs offered including Band, Cinematic Arts, Costume Design, Dance, Mariachi, Orchestra, Theatre, Technical Theatre, Visual Art, and Vocal.
Del Sol Academy's artistic programs are led by professional and experienced instructors. Each brings real-world experience into the classroom. As a Del Sol Dragon, students will be prepared with a strong artistic foundation built on constructive nurturing, positive self-esteem, and a commitment to excellence.
CURRICULUM:
Del Sol Academy students attend an 8-period block schedule that includes both core and program courses that meet the requirements for both a Nevada High School Diploma and individual Magnet Program Certificates. Magnet students attend program classes daily, along with an additional program elective every other day. This schedule allows for every magnet student to practice their craft upwards of 10+ hours each week during the school day.
In conjunction with Honors level courses, Del Sol Academy offers collegiate level Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses. These courses offer students an opportunity to receive high school and college credit simultaneously.
