Hey Jeff I got the answer for you about the construction grader leaning the wheels. The tops of the front wheels are normally leaned in the direction that the material comes off the moldboard. Lean the front wheel against the side draft to keep the front wheels from sliding off the desired line, to shorten turn radius and to reduce front sliding on slones or in turns
Lol, I was actually going to recommend this game demo to you but I thought they ended the Demo build. This game is very impressive and I'm really excited to look at this game and watch it become better. I have done some digging on this game and read all of the dev blogs and it has really improved so much over the years being this game is being created by only two people. With all of this awesome attention this game is getting I hope they continue to work hard on this game as this game seems very impressive and I haven't seen a game based like this before.
The second machine is called a Motor Grader they are used a lot up here in Canada for snow plowing and clearing, changing the angle of the wheels and the center blade is more used in the summer grading dirt when building a ditch or when building a road to grade the road from the center to the ditches.
i hope they add something like a Pickup with a regular plow on the front that we can of course angle left and right. also, since they had updated the plow functions for the International, it has felt easier to plow without the steering being lost because now when lowering the plow on it, it just rests on the ground now instead of raising the front of the International off the ground
The International we would usually say salt truck or it would have salt in the back. They would use one of the other so it does not damage the road when it melts the ice
That international/ intercontinental truck sounds and looks amazing. Beacons are nice and bright. If this is any indication of the quality of the game, it has my interest peaked for sure. Really looks great and sounds great already.
The Grader is not really for snow removel but more used for Leveling dirt for Large scale jobs and some times its the Wheel turn in for Slopes and such in Leveling but i would imagine it could be used for certain lopes or so in snow removal

Can't wait to see it open to more people. I wonder if they'll start players off with an old pickup with a plow and make you work your way up to the equipment in this demo. Maybe have you salt up the roads? As an Arizonian, I don't know what snow is and I'm gonna be so bad at this game but it looks like good fun
At 7:18 I’ve found the 1st problem… a motor grader is a single axle 4 wheel drive, each side spins together using a chain drive… so even tho it’s a single axle drive vehicle it’s still 4 wheel drive so if that was real life both side wheels would be spinning together
I run a motor grader for a living and you lean you front wheels in the direction you are moving your material and it helps to not pull the front end over the opposite direction allowing you to move more dirt snow whatever
Imagine if they add multiplayer later on down the road and you can get on with like Dave and Buggz and those guys and if they add freeways you could do the 4 snow plow tandem thing they do on Interstates lol this looks exciting.. looking forward to the progress in the future!

If they wanted to make it really realistic , they should have integrated a manhole cover sticking up to run into at 3 in the morning and make you almost crap your pants. That wakes you up quick

Hoping they add first person and handcontrols inside the cab and make it as real as possible.. Been waiting for a game like this for a long them.. one of the reasons why I love Seasons in farm sim because of this lol
Game looks great personally I don’t use four ways when plowing the revolving light is enough and the four ways click the whole time lol also the wheels tilting is for turning sharper most graders also have rear steer too generally the rule is plow, plow then plow/sand or salt looks like it will be a cool game when it’s all said and done

ehh the storm mode was pretty underwhelming...…. no whipped snow, visibility was still too good to be honest. High winds and blinding conditions would be cool especially if you wrecked your truck and then had to pay for it to be rescued by a wrecker....adds a little consequence to driving fast and dangerous. Ice storm would be cool causing horrible slick conditions where u have to salt and sand roads. Clearing mountain range roads would be kick ass too. Having manual controls over gears ect so you can downshift and engine break when going downhill on ice. There is a LOT of room for improvement in my opinion. Just clearing roads seems like it will get boring FAST i mean the snow doesn't even pile up. Being able to use a loader and truck it off site and dump it would be a fun feature too and would introduce more trucks and tractors ect.
This game definitely has potential. Also about the Grader: "They have Adjustable Leaning Wheels [that] the operator can lean in either direction to lean the weight of the grader toward and balance the weight against the side load of earth on the blade-the heavier the load, the more the operator leans the wheels and weight of the machine.”
Yup! Most models have about 6-8 different pivot points for the blades as well. So you can achieve any angle for any road surface. Haven't seen too many graders with plows on them though. Kinda cool.
My uncle runs the grader for the county’s dirt roads like the one I live on but he always angled the front tire when he was pulling the mud out of the ditches so it could balance out the weight
I plow snow for a living in NY in machines identical to these. I’m extremely impressed with how good this looks already. Only thing I really hope they include is an animation for snow flying off the wing and the plow
I’ve been hit with the flying snow from a plow truck, I was walking across my neighbors yard to get too my bus stop I saw the flashing lights and knew he was going 55 I was about 30 feet from the road and I got covered with snow
This looks like a fun game! As someone who lives in the northeast, this is a pretty accurate representation of highway plowing. It would be cool if the developer added a pickup truck with a plow to do smaller areas like driveways and parking lots, as the dump truck and grader are mostly just for main roads in real life. As far as the grader's front wheels, I don't know if this is correct, but I suspect they can be angled to make tighter turns since it's such a long vehicle.
Hey Jeff, you were asking about that piece of equipment that you can tilt the wheels on. Its a grader and is primarily used in road construction to get the base of the road to the correct slope.
I'm actually an equipment operator in Pennsylvania for the State. The front wheels on the grader do shift or "lean" to accommodate the weight of the grader itself as it cam be used for a multitude of things including ditching (digging or widening ditches). The main blade on the grader also shifts side to side as well as turns left to right. Love your videos Jeff, keep up the great work man!

I live in Canada, sick & tired of winter, I want the snow gone so that I can get my E-bike charged and go ride, so a snow plow game is not on my list of things to play. lol
It is odd that we got a power washing simulator and a lawn mowing simulator before a snow plowing sim. Does look pretty promising, a few more plow and blade controls and it would be awesome.
Wish Farm Sim had snow physics like that...then again the snow that gets plowed just disappears vs. just piling up like it would irl. Any game designers here know why that stuff is so hard even for big name games to get right?
I totally agree. Farming Sim's snow/seasons are a bit disappointing TBH. The plowing is kinda jank with the way the snow moves. I've been in the middle of plowing a road on my farm and suddenly all the snow melts. Even though it's the middle of winter, for some reason the temperatures never stay cold for very long. It was 50+ F in the middle of December... Makes no sense.
This game looks amazing can’t wait to see what they do with this game hope they add windrows I plow snow in Kentucky and this is awesome that someone made this into a game
I enjoy seeing these under the radar games jeff. The front wheels turn that way to allow the blade to make sharp turns and it give it better maneuverability.
Finally, a game all about plowing snow 😍 I loved doing that as a job. So relaxing to just watch snow, and other random bits on the road just shoot out the side of the plow

I honestly learned way to much about road and highway maintanence, but also how to drive in winter and how to clear snow. Its honestly such a thankless, sometimes scary job. I worried about my father a lot because we live in a very mountainous area where plowing at night in a blizzard is honestly between you and god (im not even religious) This game looks exciting, i really hope it comes to fruition!
