I actually quite liked the lighting, because of the dark it was very orange toned and it felt warm and homey

If you put the walls down it helps when you need to pick things back up in a round room. It’s also the easiest way to decorate the rounded wall. Round walls are something else. 😂
Came to comment this. I use them a lot because they look neat despite the glitches. You can do everything normally as long as the walls are down. I cam in very close to the wall for on the wall decore and may place something off a bit to move it since that resets the controls for movement sometimes.
Still get the inside rain glitch when stacking them and because we don't get enough floors my light house looks more like a cake. I want spiral stairs for the round rooms already

Turning the grid on helps a lot too. Trying to do it without the grid on is a nightmare for me.
@@sylligurl129 I didn't think about the grid being off because I always use it. It helps me keep stuff aligned for symmetry despite astigmatism

There actually has been one round shell challenge before! It was my first ever shell challenge, and it was a lot of fun (and quite challenging, lol) 😊
"just ignore it" SO relatable 😅 I recently built a stone tower for a vampire that was just round rooms stacked, and I got so mad I finally decided the tower is a ruin and the sim lives in the basement, which is square 🤣
I built a four-story round wizard tower once, which was a terrible idea, and your way of building it sounds so, so much less painful!

From my experience “the camera” has to be inside the room (when you have round walls) for you to be able pick up items and/or slot items, that’s why when you lowered the camera sirectly to the console table you were able to slot the books at 8:58

Hey guys! Just a tip: You can pick stuff back and put them where you want a little bit easily if you zoom in and angle the camera like you are in the room as a sim if that makes sense. You shouldn't look at the room from the top like birdview. You gotta get in and look from inside the room like a sim would.
when I was in architecture / civil engineering college I had a teacher who was completely obsessed with round walls, all the projects he asked for it. he was the nightmare of an entire class for five years,. it was tough watching this video, so many memories of sleepless nights 🤣
At least in real life there's much more you can do. You can have furniture even custom made to fit it. Can't do that on Sims without CC.

I believe the placement of items works way better when you (the camera) are inside the rounded room segment as well. Then I'm always able to pick up the placed items.

There was a couple of times when I first got Sims 4 that I stayed up all night playing. You can get caught up in it. I like the house, I think it's cute, perfect for tiny living. Snap is so cute. I enjoy seeing her come help you with your builds. She's very much part of your streams.

I’m pretty sure that the floor not showing bug is related to the ceilings. I was fixing some round rooms in a castle the other day and floors were doing just fine. Then I was like “OMG I should paint ceilings, my castle would look so good”… never managed to fix my floors anymore 😭😭
Working with rounded wall IS really hard. But there are ways to make it easyer! If you go in really close to the item you wanna pick up, you might be able to pick it up! And soemtimes items randomly disapears while your trying to place them. If you were to place it, you'd find it is behide(the camea? You? you view??) 😊
Simsie is the best for when I want to play the sims but ive worn myself out too much to play. Thank you for all your videos!

It's a lot easier to place stuff and pick it up again if you are looking at the room sideways on, so not top down! I build with walls half down when I'm doing round stuff, and always move the camera kind of "inside" the round bit, like from a sim's pov
In a round room, you kinda have to have the camera low enough so you are INSIDE the room to be able to place items properly and allow things to slot.

I'll never get over the pride I felt in being ale to build a 100% functional, tiny and fully round house. round walls are so, SO difficult to work with but putting them down really helps

What I do is to roughly place things near the curved wall then, in live mode, I use the T.O.O.L. mod to finely place them. Works great for me.

Weirdly validating to see a Pro Gamer Simmer struggling with the round walls after wrestling with a round wall build all weekend (I ended up giving up and just going with hexagons in the end 😭) this turned out lovely BTW!!!
I am not trying to be critical, but you could have pulled a JamesTurner and moved the main level to the second floor. You can do this by copying the first floor, putting it on the second, and deleting the first floor, that way you can use terrain manipulation to increase the ground level until 6 or seven steps and then slowly level the ground one step at a time until you get the steps as they do in the front of your inspiration picture. Then lower the main level until it touches the manipulated terrain. Never mind, I will download it and see if I can do it. I also found out that if you put the walls all the way down you can manipulate items for placement.
I still like the house.

I’ve been stubbornly messing with round walls quite a bit, bc idk I guess I like to make myself angry LOL. the flooring to the building edge problem can be solved by moving the room, putting down the floor tiles where it’s gonna be, then put it back on top XD honestly having to do ridiculous stuff like that is just like… why even put it out yet? Also yeah, some things can be surprisingly solved by simply putting the walls down, or trying out different cursor positions. So bizarre XD this still turned out nice tho!
