    This was helpful. I'm currently restoring an old furby for my cousin and had to replace the eyes. I'd like to see a video on how to replace furby eyelashes.

      I’m glad this video was able to help you! And I can do that. ❤️ I haven’t had any Furbys come in yet that need eyelash replacements but I have the lashes and glue, so when I do get one I’ll make sure to record it!

    Is there any way to do it without putting the furby in the freezer? What if it damages the insides, since mine still works.

    The video was really helpful I was wondering on how people customize furby eyes! But I have one question, does the furby still work after being put in the fridge? And should I take of all the fur before doing the eyes and everything else?

      Hello, with my experience from using this method, you can put a working furby in the freezer! Just try to avoid leaving them in for multiple hours to stay on the safe side. And you can leave the fur on but be extremely careful with the glue sticks as they could get stuck to the fur/set it on fire.

    Is it safe to put a working furby in the freezer? I want to remove the eye chips but I want the furby to remain in working condition

      The Furby in this video still works after being in the freezer for an hour. I probably wouldn’t do it for multiple hours at a time if you are worried, but for small amounts of time they still work perfectly! I haven’t put a working Furby in for over 2+ hours to really know if it could have any harmful effects but that would be something to test out.

    How big are the furby eyes? I can only find the eye chip diameter, I’m trying to make a multieyed furby and I don’t know what size to buy

    Is there a way to remove eye chips without damaging the clear bit too much? I’m trying to keep the original chips because I don’t want to wait forever to buy new ones!

      @mothslimes Рік тому +3

      ok super late but for anyone that cares: you can take off the skin/fur, unscrew the robot shell and take out the eyeballs (theres tutorials for that on yt), with a sharp object you can push through a little hole in the back of the eye ball shells and the chips should come out (unless theyre glued in, which is sometimes the case)

    This just seems A little brutal when you think about it just to remove and customize eyes

      It’s not ideal, but it’s the least invasive way.

    I was lazy and didn't use the freezer and the second eyechip was in so strong that the eyes snapped apart as I pulled (I . Luckily a clean break and on a Furby that was a bit of a mess anyway, but lesson learned. Don't be lazy or impatient. Put them in the freezer first!

    this is so helpful! I furby I order for customization just arrived its a kiwi furby their name is pixie lime and I'm designing them based off a plant with the same name. I don't have the yet chips yet but I do want to add custom ones. Also planning horns and wings I mean pixie is in the name. Possibly some fur dying as the belly and feet are yellow and the inside of the ears are white. The hair tuft on the head and the tail are blue but I really like blue so I might keep it or maybe do an ombre with green idk. Plus I want to paint the faceplate and beak

    I have a Furby with eye chips that look scratched/cloudy from getting acetone nail polish remover on them accidentally when I used it to remove some custom paint from the eyelids. Is there something that I can use to polish the scuffed and cloudy eye chips to make them look good again?

    • @PeachReaver
      @PeachReaver Рік тому

      Not if it was acetone, the paint was eaten away, no amount of polishing is going to replace dissolved paint

      Furby Babies are pretty similar so this tutorial would work fine for them! But the eye chip size you will need is 12mm for a Baby. 😊

    is there an other way to remove the eye chip?

    • @retrofurby6533
      @retrofurby6533  3 роки тому +5

      Another way for stubborn eye chips is to skin the Furby, take the black casing off, and go behind the eyes. There is a small hole on the other side of the eye socket that you can push through to try and pop the eyes out from the other side. I have never tried this as I find the glue stick method to be the easiest and less-invasive way to remove them.
      I’ve had one pair of difficult eyes that I tried to use an exacto knife to remove around the edges. I would not recommend trying that as all it did was damage the white of the eye. 😅 I ended up removing them by just leaving the Furby in the freezer longer and after several tries they finally released.
