- Hey Guys! We thought long and hard about whether to upload a video this week given everything that is going on in the world right now. Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen many of your comments saying how our videos have been a safe place for you to escape in such a difficult time, because of this we decided to go ahead and post a video.
We are completely shocked and heartbroken by the death of George Floyd. This isn’t the first time this has happened and we’re seeing it time and time again. Enough is enough! It is time for change and we support the movement for change. Black Lives Matter
We started this channel because we believe food brings people together and by trying food from around the world we can learn more about other people and their cultures. We hope that everyone who comes to our channel feels accepted and can enjoy a love of food together. There is always more we can do and we will continue to educate ourselves.

Russisch Brot always reminds me of my Grandma. My parents and I would visit her almost every weekend when I was a kid and she always had Russisch Brot at her home for me. She has since passed away, but the taste of it still reminds me of her and my childhood. It was nice to see you check it out :)

Das ist nicht richtig. Wird nicht nur auf der Packung empfohlen, sondern früher (60er Jahre) auch gemixt mit Wasser getrunken, ansonsten aus der Hand geleckt.

Man, some of those treats looked SO good! My grandparents were from Germany. Maybe I should try some of those goodies. Kate, you're not going to believe this, but I am very good friends with some of Norbert Butz's (Kevin in Bloodline) siblings. We grew up in the same neighborhood and I still see them now and then. They have 11 kids and we had 8. Lol. Remember the shirts the Southside girls sent to you and Alex? One is from Bishop DuBourg High School where most of the Butz kids and I attended.
Some very delicious treats in this box. You should definitely try find some to try! Oh my word 😱😱😱 No way!! That is so cool and so awesome!!
We have a Lindt shop here, you can go in , get a bag and go round lots of bins and pick out whatever flavours you want. Lots of flavours I’d never seen before , it’s a little overwhelming. At Christmas they have a deal of about 50 for a good price, daughter got them several years ago......we got sick of them and I still can’t enjoy them. They do have seasonal special bars, balls, shapes, for Easter, Christmas, Spring. They do have the big bars , all their usual stuff. I stay away from there , it’s too tempting. 😂 my favourite bars are the big plain Lindt bars and Toblerone white chocolate big bars. Just a couple squares or a section for a snack. Yum. We have the strawberries here, my granddaughter bought a huge bag at the wholesalers last week, they had a few but now they are waiting for them to get stale and crispy outside. We all find them kind of sickening if you eat too many when they are fresh. In hotter weather I can’t eat chocolate unless it’s kept in the fridge, just find it too sickly sweet. 🤢🙋🏼

This With Them Yes, it’s incredibly heartbreaking. We are doing ok. I have a cousin who is a retired Dallas cop and my sister in-law is black. Both are two of the kindest souls I’ve ever known. My precious, infant niece is bi-racial and I pray we see change where she won’t have to grow up experiencing this kind of hate in the world. I’m proud that she has family on both sides that will without a doubt show her how loved and important she is. What Chad and I teach our own daughters is just as important. It starts in the home. ❤️🤍💛🤎🖤

Milka wird in lörrach produziert. Das ist genau an der Grenze zur schweiz. Gibt sogar direkte Grenzübergänge dort. Also eigentlich ist es deutsch, gehörte früher zu Kräften foods (ein amerikanisches Unternehmen) und wurde vor ein paar Jahren an ein spanisches unternehmen (mondelez) verkauft. Ob Unternehmen oder Konzern weiß ich nicht so genau. Aber zumindest wird alles in Deutschland produziert. Ich komme aus lörrach und kenne einige der Mitarbeiter, deshalb weiß ich das 🙈
Philomena K. Der Erfinder von der Milka Schokolade war ein Schweizer. Die Firma beziehungsweise der Markenname wurde später von Mondelez erworben und übernommen.
ist doch egal; die sind trotzdem in deutschland verbreitet und normal hier. also gelten sie als 'deutsche' schokoladen meiner meinung nach 😂
jiminie ja wie gesagt wurde Milka von Mondelez übernommen und die Hauptproduktionsstätte ist in Lörrach ja. Aber es gibt auch Werke in Österreich, Frankreich, Slowakei, Polen und Belgien. Die meisten einigen sich aufgrund dessen darauf, dass es eine deutsch-schweizerische Marke ist 🤷🏽♀️.

Schogotten chocolate is best when sharing with friends. Knoppers is a favorite for the Hazelnut filling but I really enjoy the salted liquorice from Katjes.

But it really made me laugh, you reading the correct information & within a split second, based on the colors you were seeing & your cultural background you assumed that green would be lime 🙈 I hope I've said it clearer now

We used to visit Germany when my auntie and uncle were stationed there with the RAF. I would love to go back and visit. I wish my Aldi still stocked knoppers, they are my favourite. I hope we get more international snacks here in the UK

Thank you for posting a video this week. It’s been a rough week and we can all use a taste testing video. I had the car shaped licorice and they are delicious but was very chewy. I found them at World Market. I must go back and look for more German candy when I get a chance to.

This With Them The World Market closest to me has German, Japanese, British/food from UK and Australian foods. I think sometimes I see some Israeli and Greek foods too. I wish it was closer to me. Thankfully the local supermarkets have like an ethnic section and that’s where I found Tim tams and Bamba from Israel. Also some candy bars from UK.

I have seen the Knoppers wafers in our supermarkets here in the UK but have never tried them, will be adding to my next shopping list :)
