In the manga, It's all martial arts and elemental powers. It's starts as martial artists trying to inspire children to learn martial arts, but it becomes something bigger. Can you give me some idea's for a plot that's even bigger than that first plot, Mr. MonitorComics?
These are often overlooked but see when its being used right it enhances as panel very well! I rarely notice these lines, but now I now what they mean and when they’re used.
Great video as always. Can you make a video about your process of how you create your mangas from start to finish? I’m really interested in seeing how a pro does it! Stay amazing as always🎉❤
I have a video covering the entire process actually! It's a few years old but more or less the same process ua-cam.com/video/GUvLt8NcexE/v-deo.html . That sort of thing is better fitted for a livestream so I plan to revisit it again soon!
It seems a number of the older mangaka weren’t quite as tied to the iconography as the newer Shonen artists. In Matsumoto’s sci fi Space Battleship Yamato, a flash meant just that - a flash of light, an explosion, surge of power, or such, not an oblique symbolism. I, myself in my sci-fi “mangoid” have used a number of the effects outside of their Japanese meaning - FTL jumps, explosions, etc etc. I am curious if you are applying this as a sort of modern “canon”
Great video as usual. Also this kind of unrelated. I mention this a month ago that I have created 3 story board chapters of a series I came up with. There is no drawing but just a description of what’s happening and it’s not entirely perfect or completely set. Also I’m in the middle of making “final” edits of how the story is introduced and proceed. I was wondering if you are still willing to give me some feedback and where in Instagram I can send it to you to get it.
I have recently finished my second shonen anime. I really like what they bring to the table, but I find that they are missing something. Sometimes I wish they would take a break from the action and spend some time on meaningful slice of life. So, my question is if someone wanted to create an action Shonen manga that has Josei elements, what would that look like? Are there examples of this already? Is this even a viable idea? What is it included Shojo elements instead of Josei elements?
Thanks for taking the time to leave a question! The important thing to remember is shonen is a demographic not a genre. All Shonen means is the intended audience is young boys (12-18 basically) A lot of shonen manga fall into the action, adventure, fantasy genre, that is TRUE, but not all of them. Shonen Jump manga like Ichigo 100% and I's are romance slice of lifes. Shonen Jump manga like The Ichinose Family Sins and Akane Banashi are slice of life dramas There's also the sports genre in Shonen like Slam Dunk, Prince of Tennis, Hajime No Ippo etc. Even recent series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Hell's Paradise take inspiration from dark seinen manga like Berserk and Gantz Shojo and Josei are both entirely different demographics, but there are a few overlaps sometimes. The Mahou Shoujo genre for example is a shojo genre where girls become superpowered and fight villains, that's basically the equivalent of a shonen battle manga but for girls Stuff like Sailor Moon, Madoka Magica, and Shugo Chara fall into that category! Since you said you just finished your second shonen anime, I'd say poke around a bit to see what else is out there!
Can you please explain How can you make a story in general but also deferent from existing manga like pirates but the one piece exist so how can you make it deferent from each other
My best advice would be to study similar stories in the genre or concept you are interested in. One Piece isn't the only pirate story there are thousands of them. No idea is 100% original, all that matters is execution. For example one piece would be entirely different without super powers or if the villain was the main character or it was set in a different location or if there was a different goal etc
@@MegaBondagemon For speed lines, you would want to adjust the brush size, angle, and gap of line in the line tool properties! To make it radial you would apply a twist filter! The other effects like flashes, screentones, etc can be found in the materials folder. You would go down to manga materials and then you will see effect lines and monochrome for the screentones! The asset store has other effects you can download and then drag and drop into your materials folder!

That's awesome to hear! I'm excited to see you start actively noticing them when you read manga from now on!!
Focus lines and flashes also make a very good hyperspace jump!
True!! I have seen those before!!
I recommend reading stuff by Ulysse Malassagne, he's an animator mostly but his use of speed lines is probably the best I've seen
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll be sure to check him out as well!
Can you make a vid on how to plan out fight scenes
It is on my list! Thanks for the video suggestion!
Thank you for this! I’m transitioning into storyboard/ rough draft panels and this helps out immensely.
Really glad to hear that! Good luck with your project!
Been waiting for this one 🔥🙏
Really glad to hear that! Hope it was able to help!
was looking for this together with the tones (what to use when)
Really glad to hear that! I plan to make a video specifically on screen tones in the near future!

@@MonitorComics thanks 😊
Any tutorial for how to apply them on CSP?
CSP has a lot of these built in or available in the asset store!
@@MonitorComics I have CSP but still don't know how to adjust things like speed lines and I don't know if some of the effects mentioned are available.
