Never really got to know the dude but we knew each other. I was on a probation stretch once. I was at a bus stop & put a empty paper coffee cup in one of those garbage filled, sticker/tag covered free papers boxes. This dude got pissed & was screaming at me to put it in a garbage can. He started coming at me & Myth pulled me into his work. I will always be grateful for that. It could have been really bad and/or i would have been locked up
Before Aerub was painting freights he wasn’t good, then when he linked up with MYTH and started hitting the yard heavy and his style really evolved. Myth been hitting ever since and ever since just real solid piecing. His legal joints are fucking spectacular.
This fuckin rocks. Been a fan of Myth since I was a young guy. I remember finding an illegal piece not to far from my house with sneke. That was a different time in Seattle when shit actually looked proper
I will say, graff is becoming a thing ppl in their mid to late 20s are picking up. I picked it up at 25. And when I go to meet ups it’s ppl even older than me most the time. It’s cool shit man.
Myth really represents the Seattle vibe to me. Yeah it's a liberal city and our politics are pretty left, but it's not California, normal people stay strapped.
back in 98-01 i had a little spot in kansas that had fresh myths weekly, so dope...gotta dig those flics up, myth burns - this spot also had lots of sein5, zine, mone etc like he spoke on.
Seattle is definitely smashed with tweaker graffiti these days

Pretty sure graffiti has been re-criminalized in Seattle, but good to hear they aren't really enforcing it.
