I remember him holding Rasheed Wallace to just 4 pts one game, then Wake Forrest with Tim and Childress upset Stackhouse and Wallace in the ACC Tournament.
Dude had a 26-point, 20-rebound game in a win against Florida State as a sophomore, 10 double-doubles as he averaged 17.6 points and 15 rebounds per game .

We’ll never see that style of basketball ever again, and tim duncan was not only blessed to be a part of that team, but also be the center piece that made it function. In short definitely top ten but I feel the 2-1 argument is more team based.

NBA players now should learn a lot from Tim Duncan, he stayed loyal to a small market team and gave that team multiple championships, off- course he did it with the help of Tony Parker, Manu and kawhi but to play with a small market team for 19 seasons needs a lot of patience and sacrifice, it can be done only by someone who loves basketball a lot.
This is something today's NBA players need to learn and by doing so NBA could become more interesting to watch, now it looks like small market teams have no chance to win it all.

I know he started late in basketball but I love how he still added how staying all 4 years in college helped him mature in all aspects.
These upcoming college kids who actually want to be great, a winner, a true leader, a champion & a future h.o.f, need to take that into consideration.
There are a lot of good players & stars but their maturity level is weak. It's why they're so quick to jump ship to another team instead of sticking it out. They dont know how to grind as a true star & leader to become greater. Their mentality is, I'm get my numbers in college, we lose, I'm bouncing to nba to get my millions, I lose there, im jump to a super team in 2-3 years & get paid. Which is why the nba sucks now.

@TheRealist 811 Notice I said MOST. Wade and Bosh were on the downsides of both their careers when they teamed up with LeBron. LeBron still was required to do a lot of heavy lifting to get the Heat over the hump for those 2 titles. Then he had a great statistical Finals in 2014 and both Wade and Bosh were played out at that point. And what about Cleveland? That scrub team he carried in 2007, then he didn't even have Love or Irving in the 2015 Finals and still stoles 2 games off the mighty Warriors, then even in 2016, Love played awful in that Finals series and LeBron had to put up B2B 41-point games and a triple double in Game 7 just to barely beat the Warriors, then without Kyrie in 2018, he still dragged a bunch of scrubs to the Finals in 2018. EDIT: Also, the East wasn't weak during the time LeBron was in Miami. The first 2 years of the Heat's run, the Celtics Big 3 was still viable and also Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls were tough and also the last 2 years, the Indiana Pacers were a top team that gave the Heat trouble.
