They are very challenging! The smaller eyes are much easier than the bigger eyes.

Hi Robin, I made a few baby princesses and also used different skin tones to give every little girl a chance to get a matching doll.
I changed up the hair styles by making 1 or 2 ponytails out of ‘unicorn’ curls. So cute. Thefriendlyredfox also has a cute mermaid pattern that has different hair styles.

All the makes are adorable. It’s nice that you are trying to make things even though you don’t know much about them. Anime isn’t cartoon though, it’s animated so it’s created differently than a cartoon so 2 different things. I’m sure you could make some cute things from howls moving castle. You’re not old, and you still look young. Your never to old to brush up on your Disney and rewatch some movies, watch some anime you might like one.

Oh my gosh, that was me. . So sorry! You're super talented and I dunno what the feck I was seeing. You did great on the embroidered eyes and I agree. I like the possum and I think having something soft and tactile is great! I could see an older infant or a toddler finding it fun to fiddle with the feet.

I agree with the eyes. I have Jenna for the Anime I'm the same I know nothing 😂. people can be odd they just might like baby opossums 😂😂 I probably have enough yarn for a few more. I was surprised I still had the colors available.

Oh and the possum lovey is precious. I'd really like to buy a lovey for my great grand daughter but I'd like to be sure that her mom and her grandmother will allow my great granddaughter to actually be allowed to sleep with it.

I’m not sure on bigger dolls I’ve been looking at patterns. As long as a lovey has no safety eyes it should be a great gift for your great grand!
I love, love, love all of them. They just need the right little girl to come around. The lovey is fantastic and i think that just a little change of colors and it would be a different animal lovey.. I'd have no problem introducing any of the princesses to my great grand daughter. She is only 2. I love the different skin tones on the princesses. I love the sand skin tone too. Their dresses are wonderful. You put your love into each of these dolls. I can't imagine little girls not falling in love with any one of them.
You do such great works. I love them all. It could be difficult to choose which one, they're all the best. The last doll with so much hair is really different but very special. I don't know anime (if I've called it right), but that is a very cute doll. And Snow White looks like snow white. Great job on her also. How long is the test pattern lovey going to take before the pattern is available?

I think Sand can definitely work as a skin tone for a more tan complexion with darker hair but with blonde or red it will look funny. These are so cute btw I love watching your videos every week! I need to practice on my embroidered eyes yours look soooooo great!

So it is my understanding that "lovies" are like you said... animal head and arms, with the blanket at the bottom. In comparison, the animals that have their bodies with no stuffing are referred to as "snugglers." Most snuggler patterns also have their legs knotted.

No they are not 😂This one isn't too bad after a tweak or two. Just the legs and the wig cap.
for the snow white i feel like you could disregard the bun all together. However the rest of her hair is done it looks similar to a bob anyway and the dress is so distinctive its obvious its her!
I thought about leaving off the bun.
The dolls are so cute! Try blush in Michaels yarn, I used it for a few mermaids and it worked well.

I have seen several patterns like that possible one where they don’t have stuffing in the body and some people call them loveys. In my opinion, some of them look like roadkill. My favorite item you showed was the little bald eagle.

I have seen lovies at the stores that are just for the babes to hold in their hands, so the size of the opossum should be okay.
Thats good to know about the size of the opossum. They are cute and it was a quick make. I watched a few videos on the embroidered eyes just to get a good feel for what I needed to do.
NAMI from One Piece! They did a live action recently since the anime has a big following. Plus she is cute so a little one might want her without knowing her character 🥰🧡🥰 And yeah, anime is really popular but that doesn't mean it will work at every market - the high school market would definitely be a good spot for those.

I’m finding that people are wanting the smaller ones for infants to around 3 yrs old and the ones from mama made minis for 4 years old and older at least that’s the way my sales reflects. my fear with crocheting anime characters is that you have to get the colors right, and they usually have a lot of details/accessories. I think a few popular characters would be a good sale though, but they probably would be time consuming to make most anime characters.
That is what has kept me away from it too.
That video was so interesting + cute too (especially Nami from One Piece which is my favorite anime + manga + live action) and I hoe you don't offended but you are not that old because you know something anime (like: Pokemon and Dragon Ball). If you gonna make more One Piece dolls can you make Luffy (who is captain), Zoro (who is sword man), Usopp (who use slingshot) and Sanji (who is cook), because you said that video you maybe gonna make 3 or 4 more dolls so these some ideas you can make. Little off topic question: Have you ever tried to crochet something other (like blankets or cardigans) than plushie's using plush yarn? Because I love watching you plushie's, because they are so cute and so I wanted to ask you that (i hope that wasn't offended question).
I have not tried the plushie yarn for other items, it's too expensive.

If you’re talking about the One Piece doll, that was my complaint about the pattern. No assembly instruction just pictures.
