Fun thing about ambulances: In Japan, the elderly often call ambulances to take them to the hospital, even if they have no health issues. Hospitals are (usually) located near the city centre, so it's just an easy way for them to avoid buses and get to the city.

There is a reason why the Solar Day is not a metric unit. It's just a measurement: A solar day takes about 86400 seconds (it varies slightly). The same as a solar year takes 365.2425192 solar days (it also varies slightly).
To be fair, if you are even slightly familiar with the metric system (Or just the kilo prefix in general), you could piece together what a kilosecond is
Well actually the penultimate meme is kinda inaccurate since metric time is literally the metricsystemization of time measuring : 1 day = 10 hours = 1000 minutes = 100 000 seconds

The Volkswagen thing is technically correct. Volkswagen GmbH (Today Volkswagen AG) was founded in 1949 by the state of Lower Saxony to operate the car factory in Wolfsburg, which was previously operated by the British military government. Apart from that, series production of the Beetle only started after the war. Although the car was designed before the war, the factory in Wolfsburg was not completed until the end of 1939 and after that it only manufactured military vehicles. That's why there was no Volkswagen before. There was the concept and there were prototypes and pre-production models but nothing you could buy. Although that's only true to a limited extent when it comes to buying. There was a program like this where you could save for a KdF car. However, the people who took part essentially lost everything they had saved.

It's not something I talk about much anymore because it sounds like total BS and when there isn't a pencil and paper nearby it's kinda hard to prove.
