NVVE - Entry: $8.20, Exit: $8.35 - Size: 1K - Profit: $150 ... KAVL - Entry: $1.49, Exit: $1.71 - Size: 1.5k - Profit: $330 ... Total: $480 ... Not a bad day today. Already way better than last week Monday when I had that $600 loss and spent the rest of the week clawing back to green.

Just trade the 1% gap up at the open with a stop loss ; in my opinion it will be more profitable ( try with a 500.00 $ ) easy to get 10 -20 % and with luck you can get a 50 -100 %...

@@gingerbread6134 I've been burned a few times trading gap up at the open. However, I was a less experienced trader back then and may have traded the wrong stock. I'll watch for the gap ups and try again. I love that I'm growing as a trader and constantly evaluating my strategy and making changes for the better.

I remember watching a video with Dr. David Paul, who has passed now, but was a great trader in his day. He was giving a training class and at the beginning of the class he mentioned his academic credentials; e.g. he had a degree in engineering and a PhD in mathematics (or maybe it was engineering as well). In any event, after listing all of his academic achievements he promptly noted that they were all worthless as it pertains to taking money out of the market consistently.

I started with 1 share position at the beginning of the month. Last week, I started using 3 shares, and scaled out if the stock was still moving up. Day one of this was a train wreck trying to get used to it, but once I got through the learning curve, I find that I get a bigger part of the move than I would have otherwise, and letting one ride at the end leaves me much less fomo. I plan to scale this approach as I increase my position sizes in the future. 😊

I hope everyone else did ok, or the pain was small and a lesson was learned. That first stock, that I went neg on, (Broke my own rule again and forgot to check float it was at 60m, actually i was barely checking my check list.
