- Dal Makhani is one of my favourite comfort food.
Ingredients:
3/4th cup urad dal
1/4th cup rajma
Wash both the dals and soak for 8-10 hours or overnight.
Ingredients for cooking the dal
Soaked dals
3-4 cups water
For final cooking
2 teaspoon oil
3 tablespoons butter
2 finely chopped onions
2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
Puree of 2 large tomatoes or 1 cup readymade puree
1 teaspoon kashmiri mirch powder
2-3 pinches of grated nutmeg
2 cups water for cooking dal
Salt to taste
3-4 tablespoon cream
1/2 teaspoon roasted kasuri methi powder
For dhungar
1 small piece of charcoal
A few drops of ghee or oil
