- In this episode of "What's the Diff?" that is exactly the question we are trying to answer. These three knives are extremely high quality, Made In America, and built to provide you with the most utility that a knife can offer. However, each one has key elements to its design that separates one from the other in functionality and specialty.
Watch this video and let us break down those details for you, and tell us what you think. If you love Ka-Bar, Buck or Gerber (or all three!), tell us what makes your knife the best fit for your needs!

Just a heads up the lmf 2 doesn’t have a full tang so that you can cut through electrical wire.
Gerber is not a true full tang. it's not connected to the rear glass breaker. Designed so you can cut through electrical cables and not get electrocuted.
Very nice "Naff's" !
One often overlooked advantage to the Gerber knives is their ambidextrous sheaths. Knife fits both ways into the sheath. Handy for those of us who are "lefties."
5160 steel all the way
Thanks Sarge 💪🔪❤️
I had a buck GCK spear point out of these 3 I’d take the GCK but I’d still take my buck 124 frontiersman or 184 buckmaster over them all
army k-bar 😲 did you mean GI issue USMC Knife
that Gerber Inf. is not full tang! Well people make a mistake!
The Lmf does not have a full tang
Lmf is not full tang
I think the Ka Bar is more of a nostalgic knife these days.
if you add some rubber o rings to the K Bar it wont slip as easily.
There's a significant difference between the hidden tang of Kabar and similar knives and a skimpy rattail tang, which is long and skinny. Look it up, they stop calling the hidden tang a rattail.
I will take the Kabar over the other two. It has been in service as a combat knife for a long time and was designed as a multi functional knife.
I find my kbar to be to big and chunky, not a great knife for combat and to big for quick use
@@ericfairbairn4409I prefer the Ka-bar short version
@@ericfairbairn4409I love my Baby Ka-bar
The flat butt of the ka~ bar is meant to be a hammer
