May Un Mar Language - The Dialect of the Potteries is the first feature length documentary created by Inspired Film and Video.
Filmed in 2009 it explores the unique dialect that comes from Stoke-on-Trent and grew up in the pot banks, coal mines and other heavy industry of the city.
Interviewing those who grew up with 'Potteries Dialect' and those who keep it alive to this day it is a window into this unique world of language.

Worked at Silverdale and Hem Heath. We used to count in rucks, nests and thages . The most eclectic group I ever worked with, it would be in the late 1970’s was in one shift was Poles Italian German(former pow’s) Russian Lithuania and local miners plus the odd Bevin Boy from Silverdale

i spent some time on gladstone carpark
