I stumbled upon this carbon copy of a receipt. Marilyn requested 12 splits of Dom Perignon 1953Champagne to be delivered to Marilyn Monroe at The Beverly Hills Hotel, Bungalow 21.
2. Wear Chanel No 5.

3. Eat Romanoff inspired chocolate souffle
Marilyn Monroe was reportedly fascinated by the chocolate souffle served at this swanky Beverly Hills restaurant. Now defunct, the glittering restaurant was once a haven for Hollywood stars of yesteryear. Pictured here is a party celebrating The Seven Year Itch that was hosted there.
4.What vintage movies:
Charlie Chaplin: She reportedly loved Charlie Chaplin films (not surprising considering she dated his son!), and Clark Gable and Marlon Brando were two of her other favorite actors.
5. Read Ulysses
Marilyn reading Ulysses was a famous photo... was it all staged, or was it the book her favorite? I am not sure. But I do believe she loved to read...she had a rather extensive library.
6. Buy yourself some roses
Her ex-husband Joe DiMaggio was well aware of Marilyn's love of roses. So much so that he staged a rather elaborate token of love that continued to her grave. He made sure that a dozen long-stemmed roses were delivered to her grave twice a week at Westwood Memorial Park.
7.Wear Salvatore Ferragamo.
Salvatore Ferragamo made Marilyn's favorite pair of shoes. They were featured at an exhibit at the London Design Center.
8. Wear Nivea and Vaseline.

She wasn't horribly unhappy as people who knew her have said. She definitely dealt with alot of insecurities and depressions, but she also lived happy times and had good and fun interests. She loved to read and loved animals and cared alot about others. She wasn't perfect, but she was always hopeful and optimistic. The sad truth is alot of people pushed and pulled her for their agendas and eventually she died. Anyways, the point is she wasn't always sad.💋

I think like most humans she lived difficult and fulfilling times during her life, she obviously had to deal with childhood issues and depression but she seemed to be content in front of the cameras 🎥 which is one of the things that made her happy

She also had a Maltese pup, but nedless to say, better not adopt one just to mimic Marilyn. lol

Guys just know before you head out and drop cash on that classic Chanel #5, it for sure smells like that heavy perfume your grandma wears or wore
I prefer Chanel Coco mademoiselle. It has a more youthful smell
still nice to have if you’re a Marilyn Monroe fan, such a classic perfume.
Most people put down Channel no5. It's still nice, better than Coco

I’ve read that the German Nivea cream is a dupe for the extremely expensive La Mer cream. I’m not sure what the ingredient difference is with the German formula, but I’ve wanted to try it

I've tried Nivea ,it smells like bugspray. As far as it working it took care of my dry patches other than that I didn't stick with it long due to the smell to see any changes.
Nivea is only good as a body lotion or spot treatment for dry patches but it is not good for your face since it tends to clog pores
Have read in several books that her favorite drink was champagne, and I'm sure she enjoyed Dom Perignon too, but her favorite champagne was Piper Heidsieck. ❤🍾
She also used ice/ ice cubes on her face to combat any puffiness
You can always substitute things and still feel like her.
Chanel #5 is too strong for me. I prefer chanel mademoiselle and it’s so beautiful with a beautiful sent.

the nivea cream is pretty greasy and it has a scent, i like it but steer clear if you have oily or breakout-prone skin :)
You’re so right. I have oily skin and I can only use Nivea as a hand cream. It’s a super thick and moisturizing cream.

I love Marilyn's taste. She was so refined and eclectic. When I see photos of her home from before she died I can see so many unusual objects, shapes and colours and I think she had an amazing sense of style. Her taste in art too. One if the fist things I found out about her was her admiration for Goya and his black paintings. I love Goyas work myself and I had new found respect for her.

Vaseline is good for your face of you have really dry skin.
Vaseline is an occlusive, it helps to retain moisture when it’s applied on top of moisturizer, it’s very good for people with dry skin.
Vaseline will block your pores and wreck your skin. My sister ruined her once beautiful skin .

It’s crazy how much less any good champagne costs overseas, every time we go we bring back as many bottles as is allowed. Are prices lower in Canada? In the US around NYE you can get it on sale for $100-$150 for a beautifully boxed bottle. Nice video, poor Marilyn was so well loved but led such a sad life dying far too young😢. Have a lovely week! MM didn't drink champagne (nor did she take "uppers"). When she did drink liquor, she had a sickly reaction to it, so she only sipped it during photo shoots, using it primarily as a prop.

Hi, I have been wanting to buy the Sharon and Audrey lipsticks from Vintage Doll Cosmetics, but I wanted to ask you about one of the ingredients. The lipsticks, I saw, contain beeswax, which can work wonders for some people but be a nightmare for those who are allergic to the propolis glue. Is your beeswax propolis free and if not, could you please consider it or a hypoallergenic option all together? I have sensitive skin, but find that some lipsticks even formulated for sensitive skin make my lips peel and I'm not great at figuring out ingredient lists. Thanks so much for your time.
