As an Overwatch 2 enjoyer of the switch variety. I can tell you that older generation switches struggle to load in the spawn room after you die. I have often been holding forward at spawn only to have my first visual frame be running into a wall.

I bought an OLED switch because I thought it was a cheap way to play OW while away from home. Big mistake. I think I get 12 FPS and the controls (even with a FPS controller) are abysmal. 0/10, buyer's remorse.
Oh my gosh, I thought this was just playing on the switch in general good to know that the newer switch models don’t have that problem
@@watafumx wow, you might've been scammed. I play on an OLED and It's pretty fine. My only real problem is ping and load times for begining matches.

As some who has spent a decent bit of time playing OW2 on the switch. There's a pretty good chance this poor soul is probably playing on 15 or less FPS 200 ping. That little pause after every respawn isn't because they're getting distracted. The game literally just does not load fast enough on the client side. Half the time you can't even see player models. The game loads a bunch of glowing orbs with health bars floating in the air and gives up loading anymore. It's a miracle the older switch models don't crash every 5 minutes.
Then what is even the point of playing the game at that point? Like, they're just dragging everyone else down, and I can't see how that would even be fun for the Moira.

@@Helkyrie_ From my understanding Switch has its own servers because it is neither mouse and keyboard nor simple controller. It actually heavily favors using the switch's gyro controls for aiming. The gyro controls are actually very intuitive if you're comfortable with other switch titles like Splatoon (Which I've been playing since Splatoon 1 launch so I actually enjoyed the gyro aiming). All that to say, Switch players are usually only playing with other Switch players who are using the same out of date hardware. So it balances itself out when everyone is playing the same scuffed experience.

I'm starting to wonder if they just had really bad internet, and that's why they'd look AFK in spawn or start drifting straight into a wall. I even notice the camera sometimes snap around like it's an aimbot locking on OR what you'd see in the replay when someone's lagging.
But they could also actually be THE guy chatting up a tinder date while they play.
I'm fairly certain that Overwatch runs horribly on Switch, so that's likely part of it, but still. This is... something.
I bet it’s both. Even he does spawn he is still on his phone, and even when he makes it to his team, he’s STILL on his phone. Lag doesn’t stop you from turning
they're 100% having internet problems, but I'm also pretty sure that they're not 100% focused on the game

@@ShadowOfEntropyit really runs great! i play on the switch as it's the only way i can and the only time i've had issues is when i'm having internet problems. it's not as bad as you guys make it up to be.
The switch takes a full life prison sentence to load once you respawn, that’s why she takes so long to walk out (but at the same this Moira is like 11 years old maximum)
Switch Player who plays Moira here: Yes my frame rate is non-existent, yes I lag constantly and yes I have loading issues but either that person's Switch is a Switch Lite or they're just AFK because no way is their performance that bad just because of the Console.

Ngl playing ow on switch is terrible. Game runs at like 20 fps during team fights, everyone’s model takes forever to load in and they’re just blue orbs for the first 30 seconds in the spawn room. I can’t fully blame this Moira but it still looks like they’re throwing

However you can still aim relatively okay.

Now he's getting to witness the disconnect the higher ranked players have now to the lower ranks, when in quite a few cases it swaps form my team being all people like this to the other teams all having people like this and it flip flops so annoyingly. I'm not the best player by far but I have quit Comp for years cause I continuously got these people as my team. I went from being a Diamond player allowing my cousin to talk me into throwing into bronze to now being stuck after quitting for so long and it is just painful.

Frequent AFKs, not healing when it's obvious they should be healing (agree with you on their poor tank not getting heals), and running into walls or even just "hiding" in corners for seemingly no reason? Absolutely avoiding this person and reporting them for blocking team progress. Maybe it's technical issues, quite possibly a massive attention issue on their part, but it's a competitive game so you either come able and willing to play or you play other modes.

I used to play on Switch after a lightning strike took out my old PC....my game would literally crash anytime an ult domino happened. You literally can't see anything after respawning and player models will be invisible a lot of the time. It was a very painful experience ;-;
Edit: Sounds are also extremely glitchy and you sometimes can't hear footsteps or ult voice lines.

I have a friend like this... someone that is always looking at their phone when their dead. They go head first, after spawning, into a losing fight and then legitimately wonder where the enemy came from when they die. It's so hard to want to play with them when they ask. They have their head literally anywhere else rather than in the game they asked to play with me, it's kind of infuriating...
I died laughing at that first coalescence. Maybe the worst ult I've ever seen.
If I ever feel bad about my gameplay I will just come back to this and instantly feel better

Oh how many times I died with the purple beam over my shoulder. Just thinking that maybe they will just quickly left click to give me something. Could be they are out of heals, until you watch the kill cam and see only the purple for the entire sequence, while the other teammate next to me eventually dies too. I won’t say anything unless they use their damage value to say how bad everybody else is. Then claim to look at their heals if they are not healing, nearly half of their heals are from their damage!
This is the hardest bronze I have ever watched that blind bronze widowmaker you spectated is better and the guy is actually blind how is this possible
