This MAN was avoided forever and, to this day, I've seen him lose ONE FIGHT, when he was 40. We'll never know how good he truly was, though I think he rates very high, but he was the absolute best middleweight for better than a decade. That will have to be enough.
The reason why Mayweather retired. People started demanding him to fight GGG, and as smart as he was, he instantly knew no point in adding a '0' when he was at his retirement age.
He beat Canelo like a drum in the first fight and he won the 2nd much closer fight, he won by doing more and having the better engine. That was the difference between the 2, Canelo is nails and took what he was being given by Golovkin but he couldn't keep up the pace and match his workrate in either fight. 3rd fight was an easy win for Canelo.
Dont forget Canelo and Oscar waited and avoided GGG for years before the very first fight. They saw his slowed down performance vs Jacobs then decided it was finally time. Canelo was fighting at a catchweight and even dropped a belt to avoid GGG.

I don't think this was his prime actually. I think it was before he entered the mainstream. It's a shame that we will never see how good he was as he was so avoided. He ended up beating 1 great fighter, Canelo. The rest is him beating good fighters easily. Modern day boxing.
Some of the fights shown in this highlight were before he hit the mainstream. He was still in his prime when he moved over to HBO fighting the likes of Macklin, Stevens, Proksa etc.

I guess so but most MMA fighters would not do well crossing over to Boxing, they're 2 different sports. I hate these types of fights anyway, MMA fighters should stay in MMA, boxers should stay in Boxing. That's how I like it.
Lol. Yeah because Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, or sugar Ray weren’t on golovkin level. Hell Golovkin would have had a hard time with mugabi, Roldan, or antuofermo. Hagler would have beat golovkin convincingly. Golovkin was weak to the body and struggled with Canelo on the inside. Hagler would have worn him down.
Exciting fighter to watch but not an ALL-Time-Great. Is his resume better than Dick Tiger? nope, better than Monzon ? nope, better than Gene Fullmer/Hagler? nope
That doesn't mean he's not an all time great because you don't rate him over those fighters. I think most would agree that Golovkin is more than likely a top 15 all time Middleweight. Is he top 5? Of course not but he was still a great fighter and I'm confident he would more than hold his own against many of the best.
I don't think it's Golovkin's fault that the Middleweight division wasn't strong enough for him to be considered in that all time great status, I've seen a lot of people say he's in or around the top 15 and I think that's a fair placement for him due to his dominance.
Lmfao GGG is considered too be 1 of the Greatest too ever put boxing gloves on he is ranked higher then Roy Jones Jr and many other in boxing history so you clearly don't know ow what the he'll you saying 😂
You watch that and you realise the reputation of GGG was built on beating up a whole load of nobodies. Great fighter, no doubt. He proved that fighting guys like Jacobs & Canelo, , but the prime GGG was promoted terribly in Germany. He should have been in with the top guys by his 10th fight instead of the padding that went on. His 30th fight before he faced even a former world champion.
Can you really blame a fighter for having a thin resume when the other top fighters don't want to fight him though? While certainly not great wins I thought his performances against the likes of Lemieux, Stevens, Macklin, Murray etc were fantastic not only that he beat them but the way he did it. Of course it hurts his place historically but he was still a fantastic fighter and he'd hold his own against a lot of great 160 lbers imo.

This MAN was avoided forever and, to this day, I've seen him lose ONE FIGHT, when he was 40. We'll never know how good he truly was, though I think he rates very high, but he was the absolute best middleweight for better than a decade. That will have to be enough.
He certainly softened them up, and ironed them out
The reason why Mayweather retired.
Clarissa Shields thinks she could beat Golovkin and stop him if she set up the right shot......🤣🤣🤣🤣
She annoys the hell out of me. Can't stand her
@@hanzagod I second that
Dont forget Canelo and Oscar waited and avoided GGG for years before the very first fight. They saw his slowed down performance vs Jacobs then decided it was finally time. Canelo was fighting at a catchweight and even dropped a belt to avoid GGG.
GGG was still in his prime when he fought Canelo. It’s a complete myth that he was past it, it was after the second Canelo fight where he had very noticeably lost a step but during the Canelo fights, he was still an elite fighter. Proven by the Vanes Matyrosian fight which was sandwiched between the Canelo fights; GGG looked every bit as devastating as he did in his so called “prime years” when he was whooping B/C level fighters like Prozka, Macklin, Stevens, Rubio and Gaele, etc…Fact of the matter is, GGG stopped looking unstoppable once he stepped up his competition and started fighting A level boxers. Absolutely nothing to do with him being “past prime” as he wasn’t yet.
GGG was 35 and 36 in their first two fights. No middleweight fighter is going to tell you that they were physically the same or better at 35 compared to say 30 years old. On top of that these Eastern Europeans often have extensive amateur careers, Golovkin had shy of 400 amateur fights. Regardless on if you disagree on him being out of his prime, its clear that Canelo and team thought it was worth dodging him for several years.@@RaulRamirez-jv4rn
@@RaulRamirez-jv4rnThank you!
@@RaulRamirez-jv4rnyea and he got completely robbed. Which everyone predicted beforehand because Canelo has always had the corrupt boxing machine behind him
He had lost his absolute prime, he had lost a step. Canelo and Oscar avoided him for a long time, do you not remember? Do you not remember Virgil of all getting in the ring and telling Canelo to fight GGG after his fighter (khan) got sparked out. Do you not remember the catchweight he kept fighting at so often they coined it 'canelo weight', do you not remember him dropping a belt to avoid GGG? It can't be ignored, they avoided him for years, and even then corrupt judging was on their side, Adelaide Byrds 118-110 disgraceful scorecard. @@RaulRamirez-jv4rn
Prime GGG was a menace! No middleweight in the last 20 years got their elbow behind the punch better than him.
Can we please get another GGG video ???
What would you like to see? There's nothing new I can add.
@hanzagod the Canelo fights, I guess the other Rolls, Szeremeta, Devereychenko, Danny Jacobs, I cannot get enough GGG. No Diddy.
I've got a Golovkin jab highlight featuring all of those fights you can check it out here if you'd like: dai.ly/x97hg6c (I had to upload it on Dailymotion as the video was taken down here and my channel received a copyright strike). This is the main reason why I don't want to make another GGG video.
No one wanted anything to do with this man. Gabe was so game, he took the fight when everyone else was running.
GENNADI WON FIRST FIGHT AND THAT WAS Asignificant FIGHT AGAINST CANELO AND LOSE THE OTHER TWO
I don't think this was his prime actually.
Absolutely right, champ. But... I think he was at his best around 2007 / 2008. ua-cam.com/video/GUmCMMXvJso/v-deo.html
Best boxing channel in the business though. Love the way you put highlights together.@@hanzagod
Now i need a Murat Gassiev Highlight Video next😂
Already got 2 of them bud just check the channel.
Good fighter
If you have problems to sleep, call him😅
Metal Mario personified.
Would you kindly do a highlight reel of Timothy Bradley?
I actually made one back in 2015 I've unlisted it but you can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/GOVLf3vngbk/v-deo.html
@@hanzagod Thank you kindly. He is underrated with using feints as his primary defense, it was cool to look at, almost hollywood-esque
crazy good editing.
Thanks bud glad you enjoyed it!
💪🏼
Quality fighter. Shame for both him and Pirog that fate intervened and their fight never happened.
Canelo wanted till he was 34 to fight
💯👍👍
The Plague
GGG the best boxer ive seen hits like a heavyweight wiv the best jab x why we not talking about him like canelo
Most exciting value for money 160 lbser where was everyone when he was koing everyone they old manned him
In his prime he was the most avoided fighter of all time.
Now we want a Francis Ngannou video
I can't do much with 1 fight haha
@@hanzagod kkkk I'm just joking, because you did a quiz, asking what people thought about this fight, and a lot of people were underestimating Ngannou... I know it is a boxing channel, but maybe boxers will start to respect more MMA...
I guess so but most MMA fighters would not do well crossing over to Boxing, they're 2 different sports. I hate these types of fights anyway, MMA fighters should stay in MMA, boxers should stay in Boxing. That's how I like it.
GGG just thunder clapping fools
GGG could be 70 and I still wouldn't be throwing hands with the guy, that cross caused more blackouts than tequila shots.
I think ggg would of beaten dmitry pirog in 2012 if pirog never had the back injury. GGG was one of the most avoided middleweight ever.
I think so too but at least he would have a legit great win on his resume. He really lacks one unfortunately.
One of my favourite fighters of all-time, beats Hagler all day long imo. Hagler never faced a fighter in his career remotely on GGG's level.
@@selfmade8884 All those fighters are easy work for GGG, Hagler is not so easy work but GGG beats him imo
I'd take Hagler and quite comfortably to be honest. Love GGG but come on.
@@donovanchilton5817 Dream on Sonny Jim.
I love GGG and he's my favourite fighter for a long time but wiping the floor with Hagler? Put the heroin down 🤦
Triple G should come back for one fight he can beat Tim Tyzsu easy Triple G just needs 7 months to get ready
He's finished and Tim Tszyu is fighting at 154 not 160.
yeah i don't think canelo woulda fucked with the GGG in some of these clips
Ggg Vs hagler
Hagler all the way for me.
@@hanzagod same here
Johnson Jennifer Miller Helen Anderson Maria
Exciting fighter to watch but not an ALL-Time-Great. Is his resume better than Dick Tiger? nope, better than Monzon ? nope, better than Gene Fullmer/Hagler? nope
That doesn't mean he's not an all time great because you don't rate him over those fighters. I think most would agree that Golovkin is more than likely a top 15 all time Middleweight. Is he top 5? Of course not but he was still a great fighter and I'm confident he would more than hold his own against many of the best.
A very good fighter who didn’t push hard enough to be a great fighter
@@hanzagod no doubt a great fighter. I feel he was screwed by his promoter. He ended up on the ring side of the risk vs reward model. The only way he was going to get Martinez & Chavez was if it was before they knew how good he was
Wouldn't have had a prime if Pirog didn't break his back, SPINAL.
punches look so weak for some reason
Look pretty strong to me! One of those and you'd be flat on your back haha
A strong enough punches to K.O. even a heavyweight, not to mention a middleweight
@@hanzagod probably all mass, they dont seem snappy like from other power punchers
Top 5 middleweight ever and def a guy when u put in his convos he’s def beating the other guy 70% of the time
He looks like like Miley Cyrus
Weirdest comment ever? Lol
@@hanzagod you don't agree?
Clearly not
Triple g didn’t fight anyone notable until he fought canelo…absolute waste of supposed talent
You are not a silver medal olympian with supposed talent. Canelo created Caneloweight not to fight him at his peak.

Probably one of the most overrated and underrated boxer of this era. 😂
Exactly. Some people act like he’s the greatest middleweight of all time. Some people act like he was a hypejob. The reality is he was a good fighter who was avoided by some, but also ducked a few guys himself.
Perfectly said. He’s an excellent boxer, highly skilled calculating and clinically brutal. He definitely should have done more with his talent. His fanboys overrate the hell out of him though, wildly exaggerate him being past prime once he stepped up in competition
@@RaulRamirez-jv4rnbeat bumnelo twice tho
Golovkin, looked like a monster because he fought bums his whole career. the first time he actually fought a top 5 boxer (jacobs) he struggled i thought he lost. Then he would fight another bum and looked like a monster again. The guy is a fraud. The top 3 fighters he fought were canelo, jacobs, and derevyanchenko and he lost to all 3
he was "the most avoided middle weight"
His pro style isn't very rangey or mobile. This gives him problems facing longer opponents. He fought with a quicker pace and faster feet in the amateurs. That being said, he's the last person you would ever want to street fight
@mustang6speedd569 he clearly beat jacobs lmao you are mad american boy
