Hello. ive purchased the baja sun trike about a year ago for my wife. we love it since she cant ride a two wheeler. the weight limits how far we can go thats why i liked the conversion u made. with a 750W 40ah , how far can you go on a moderate bike path? whats the top speed? can u pull a small trailer? can it handle the sand at the beach? Have you tested this trike? (ill be happy to donate my time to test for you :) ) i visited the website to buy the Luna Cycle adaptor and seem to be sold out. i found an adaptor at my local bicycle shop($14), but it is not off set like Luna and it is threaded . do u know if i would have clearance to install the motor without the offset adaptor? Help me convert my trike w tech support, and i might invest to continue your differential project/idea on my trike, i ride ojai and ventura area and would love to use it at the beach. thanks!
The luna ling doesn't work? i measured the bottom bracket as 51.59mm and the website is now calling out niner 54.5mm ebb? does it work, or the part discontinued?
Why didn’t you use a 36T chainring? The link you provide has about 50+ different models of motor and display - can you provide exact part numbers? Thanks!
The link should take you to Amazon. Once you select the display type and battery size you want, the price will populate. The prices range from $433 for the kit without a battery to over $900 depending on what you choose.
@@ElectricAllWheel I seem to remember there is a way of achieving a differential of sorts utilizing a couple of freewheels, though I can't quite picture it right now.
For a battery mount, I just used 2 pieces of 1.5 x .25 x 15.25 Aluminum bar stock, I drilled 2 holes on each bar to mount the bars to the frame, then drilled 2 more holes to attach the basket to the bars. Basically, I moved the basket to the rear about 2.5 inches and lifted it. I used nylon bushings between the basket and the bars. The bushing give me the clearance needed to stack them. I can then attach the base of my Mega Shark battery upright between the front of the basket and seat post. The way it sits, I have full access to the battery lock from the basket side and my recharging port faces forward. This cost me about $32.00 in materials. I then spray painted the bars gloss black to match the bike. If you want, you can use longer bars to the rear, drill it to insert a flag mount or eyelets to take your trike down. Hint: Drill the holes from the battery mount first.
You need a 40T Lekkie chainring for best results with this conversion or else you risk chain line issued, you also need a strap the runs from the chainguard front mount over the frame to the motor to keep it from rotating.
@@ElectricAllWheel I just built a BBS02 with a 1991 Trek 700 trekking....that's why I was looking at this to see the torque capabilities to see whether I should purchase a trailer
@@ricksanchez3628 it’s more than enough for a trike. BBS02 is beyond the needs of a trike, unless you’re in a hilly area. Even then, it gets the job done. Samagaga makes a diff that would fit this I believe.
So there is no video of its operation?
What adapter did you use for the motor to fit in that aera where you install the motor 68mm or 100mm

Is this all water proof and is the battery water proof. Looking to be fishing outside even if it rains.
No. You would wanna go an extra mile if you plan to let rain hit it.
Like what any recommendations. I really want to convert mine over but worried about water damage.
Forgot to ask between 44T and 52T, what do i chose?

the best for this conversion is the 40T from Lekkie.
I have the same bike. Where can I get the same electric kit for my trike?
The info should be in the description of the video on UA-cam. Hit the little drop down arrow under the viewer.
@@ElectricAllWheel i clicked on the link but didn’t see any prices. Is there a number I can call. I was wondering what the whole kit runs for?

Why not slam a diff on it?
Does it have a differential? Or.like so many trikes, is only one of the rear wheels driven?
No differential. We have contemplated that aspect over and over again. I like where your head is at Steven.

I would like to try the www.samagaga.com diffs. But I’m not sure how deep into the trike realm we want to go.
@@ElectricAllWheel Yea. I'd favor the 'tadpole' or reverse trike for stability of cornering and single rear wheel drive.
@@ElectricAllWheel Do you know where to get a samaga diff? Google doesn't know.

You're supposed to crimp those connectors down.....then heat shrink them. Fire waiting to happen the way you did it.
Hi Pete. Those are solder seal connectors, not simply heat shrink wraps. Thank you for watching!
Where can I get this
Hi Quinton. You can check the description of the video for links to the items used in video. Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to subscribe!
Why not drive and make a video to show performance?

Mine is 2000w and 40Ah.
