She came back to town for a special event shortly after being sworn in, and she said that she had finally achieved her "dream job". Several years later, she got elected to another job and quit Congress. A seat in Congress opened up across town. I guess that the candidates asked her for advise, and she said something like, "Why would you want to run for that terrible job?"

When my daughter was in Children's National Hospital, NW DC I think?, I remember looking out the window and seeing what I was told was a mosque with a gold dome. There are plenty of great restaurants like that across the country, and there are plenty of markets as well. Some are a standard supermarket, others are more international flavored, during the summer there are people who put up roadside vegetable/fruit stands, and some come in the farmers market style that P6 showed. There are plenty of restaurants in the United States that are at or exceed the quality of what P6 eats at. For example, the best burger I ever had was at a converted gas station. They grew their own french fries, and the beef was local. A half pound cheeseburger was $7.99 with a huge pile of french fries on the side. I also once encountered a German restaurant in the absolute middle of nowhere, and their food was as if I was in Germany itself. And those two restaurants were in what could reasonably be called regular working areas. Unfortunately, the people retired so they are both gone, but that happens. Another place that I enjoyed stopping at was in Olive Hill, Ky. It was a truck stop that had some of the best Coconut Cream Pie I've ever had, and an excellent pork cutlet dinner. The place went out of business because of Kentucky law requiring hookups to the sewer system when they put one in, and the owner decided to retire instead of doing that. Those are just some my personal favorites that I still miss. The easiest way to find many of these great restaurants is to watch shows that highlight them. The Travel Channel has shows that highlight such places, there is Samantha Brown's Places to Love that features them, and probably the most prominent one is Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The thing is that there are tons of great restaurants that meet or even exceed the quality that P6 has shown, and many of them are dependent on regular working people eating at them.
