Yes Girrrrrlllll! I'm in the UK and have literally just gone through an awful experience yesterday eve where the client has paid me for a balloon bouquet then asked me for her money back because she can get the same bouquet AND decorate a whole room for £200!! Say what now!?? I beg your pardon??? So thank you for this video, just reconfirmed to me the time and energy we balloon stylists put into our business...we deserve to get paid our worth too!!!

Covid and the many drive-by and intimate gatherings have increased business tremendously! Therefore I'm trying to get my pricing strategy together. Now that I'm increasing my skills and speed I want to make sure I'm pricing appropriately for a basic balloon garland and one that includes my backdrop and curtains and how many curtains or just one that includes a free hanging garland with command hooks. Its a process but our time is worth it. Also, I do use amazon balloons and party city when i'm in a crunch and honestly they have worked out well but i know i want to provide better quality to my clients.

I just started doing balloons but my true passion is backdrops with beautiful balloon decor and I just started off with columns because I love them so, so much and I just did one that I wish I can post a picture of, it came out so beautiful and I said I would only charge $40 for one and the material it took to put together costed about $5 dollars less and I bought my stuff at DT so trust me DT, discount stores and all that does add up! before I invest in quality balloon brands I want to draw in more clients and perfect my craft first. I’m still in the practicing and creating process!! That’s why before I officially launch my business I am going to research research research. Because I’m buying everything out of pocket no support and with practice makes perfect so!! I needed this! Thank you!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕

Pricing was/is one of my biggest worries and uncomfortable chats. I'm a firm person however, when it comes to "money talk" I am weak and struggle. They will throw in that they are a single parent or they have a low budget, or someone died or can you do it in Jesus name(aren't you a Christian)🤦 so I end up out of pocket all the time. like just today🤦. Totally 0$. Made ZERO. Infact the client said oh I like to do this kinda of stuff to what would you have charged??. I'm like I wish you did cause I'm put of pocket 35$ just balloons.... With a smile on my face on a latter frustrated af cutting my last fishing line to fishing hang a fish net drape. Not including the hour set up.... I know I'm a sucker.. Then I bicker at the hubs about it..... Aaaaahhhhh like it's his fault or something. 😭😭😭😭😭 So I need to get it together... When is it okay to use amazon balloons? (for personal use)... ive used amazon balloons a handful of times to help decorate family events like birthday parties, baby showers, gender reveals etc....but they have all been inside ... would amazon balloons work for an outdoor / sunny bday event? im going to do a balloon garland and letter mosaics to spell "baby"..... might just save myself time and $$ and order qualatex balloons because i really dont want these to look ugly or pop as this will the first event i have people coming over since covid started
Hi! For outdoor balloons I would suggest using Tuftex, Sempertex or QUALATEX balloons because they hold up better in heat. Amazon balloons aren’t bas for indoors tho. They have some ok brands

Now the kits have not been all that as well . Also with the kit you definitely have to double stuff . The kits don’t do well out side . I agree that people don’t respect what We do . Hi! People like to see what they’re lying for so yes you can buy cheaper balloons to practice with and take pictures to post on your business page. You can always giveaway the bouquets to a friend or close family.
The worse is the client telling you I already have balloons, (balloons from the dollar store) SMH. They want extravagant designs without the proper budget. One bag of qulatex balloons are almost $20 and up.
I’m starting out too literally I just brought supply’s and already thought to start of at at least $40.00 until I get more advanced I’m soooooo nervous 😩

I order qualatex and other high end brands from Amazon. You just need to get the right brand from there.
