Would these glasses work for PC gaming such as World of Warcraft? Or Diablo? What about multiple windows visible in the glasses for having say discord/Netflix on one and game on another all visible through the glasses?
When used with a PC, does the extended screen stay positioned next to the laptop screen if you move your head or does it move with your head? I want it to essentially be a virtual monitor mounted next to my laptop, if that makes sense.
You are promoting Rokid Max without bringing up the fact that it is VERY LIMITED in terms of the hardware that is compatible with it. I am unable to use my Rokid Max on my Lenovo Ideapad3, Samsung phone A32 5G, my Amazon Fire 10 HD Plus or my Chromebook. I was able to install the Rokid AR on my phone only but still it was not working. My Lenovo Ideapad3 recognized Rokid Max but still unable to use it. There are no instructions or videos to help new users. All the products they have are promotional, misleading and not instructional. We need help to be able to use the product or we would have no use for it and will have to return it. Any thoughts on this?
Do those devices support Display Port Alt Mode functionality? AFAIK, that's the only requirement and is made perfectly clear as such, and even then you should be able to connect them to basically anything that has HDMI output via converter.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! - Read this before buying I currently have no problems with the Rokid Max glasses. I have had problems and concerns with the company not only having misleading information about the product but providing zero response to my support questions and needing to return the wireless display adapter. When I emailed the company about the purchase of the product, their response was within 24 hours. When I emailed the company support about issues I was having-which I did on four occasions-I still have not received a response to answer my actual questions. Bottom line is that if you have a device that has a USB-C display port output, which include the devices on their approved list, things should work as presented. I would make sure that you can use the Rokid Max glasses as you desire and that you have a device that can support them. I wanted the glasses for travel media streaming and as you will see below, this isn’t possible in many situations. Android Phones: - The Goovis wireless adapter is not compatible with Android 13 and does not work. I was able to get it to work with an older Android version (10), but the bottom line is: You will never be able to use the Goovis wireless adapter to stream any videos from popular services like Netflix, Hulu, Max, Prime, Disney, ... because these apps will not allow you to cast to any device that isn't on the same wireless network for security reasons. Since the Android device must be connected to the Goovis MiraCast, the Netflix like services only play the sound and not the video content. YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STREAM ON POPULAR APPS (e.g. Netflix) WITH THE WIRELESS ADAPTER. -If you have an Android device that has the capability of a display port output, then you can plug the glasses directly into the USB-C port of the device and stream movies. I tested this and it works on a Samsung S22 phone. Apple Devices: - You can use the Goovis wireless adapter, and it worked for me on my iPad, but you will not be able to stream any videos from the popular video service apps like Netflix, for the same reasons above. - You can plug the glasses directly into an Apple device if it has a USB-C port (which my iPad does) and then use the "Stage Manager" feature that will allow you see your streamed video content. This is not a screen mirror capability, but it will work for seeing and hearing video content on the Rokid Max glasses. I have still not heard back from Rokid about how to return their useless display port adapter :-(
FINALLY! SOMEONE WHO CONFIRMS if this works with the Switch and a Power Bank! But to clarify and confirm good sir; can I actually take these glasses, the mini hub, my Switch and any batter bank to work with my Switch on the go? Or do I need to be tethered to an AC adapter?
Absolutely as long as your power bank is able to provide enough power you're good. I was using a zendure power bank and it worked flawlessly for as long as my son wanted to play.
I am a software developer and I was curious how well you can see text. I think this would be great to code on while I’m on planes. So can you read text? If so down to what size? Ie in ms word can you see size 8 font times new roman?
As a prrson who uses prescription glasses, what is your opinion about the diopter adjustment? You get totally comfortable using the glasses adjusted to your eyes?

I want to buy one but I don't know which one is better Rokid max or tcl nxtwear s I'm working on as a designer and always need extra screens. Hope you'll guide me the best
Thanks for your review! Im torn between these and the Nreal Air. At the end of the day, gaming and movies will be secondary for me since i will use it mainly for work. I code, so i need to be able to see text clearly, with that in mind, would you go for the Nreal or the Rokid? I guess the best thing to do would be to test both before buying, unfortunately thats not an option for me. At the moment im leading towards the nreal based on the looks, community and general good reviews. However, i must admit i do like the fact that these seem to be brighter than the Nreal. My main concern is that it has to be sharp, i need to be able to see the text clearly. I dont wear prescription glasses, however if its very dark (say when i drive at night) and my eyes are tired from starring at a monitor all day, i do sometimes wear a 0.1 graduated prescription glasses just to have a bit more clarity. So brightness is important for me too. Im guessing the Nreal are bright enough when they have the cover on, but the added brightness of these does seem good. Also, is there a good enough community support as there is for the Nreal?
How does the glass really work? If I connect my PS5 and the screen shows on my glass, then how can I connect with the PS5 and other devices? Thank you for answering my Questions and have a nice day.
I get a message saying this device has not been granted permission to record video, what does that mean? And What are you using to move the pointer? When I plug in the glasses, all I see is a green screen, how do you watch something on it?
Unfortunatley you didn't mention in your review anything about the limited fov (50°) and the fact the screen experience is far from being 215" (marketing bla bla). It would be also good to mention that for some ppl a risk of sickness exists, especially if the screen is not fixed in the space, which brings me to my final critism of this review: no details about the difference between air mode and normal mode (screen size adjustable?, fixed screen position, etc.). All the accessoires, glasses size and look are nothing worth if the "screen experience" doesn't feel right!
I am visually impaired and have a question about the screen. 215" at 6 m sounds good but can one get closer than that by zoomning or "walking" toeards the screen?

Ok.let me say the truth as I own both brands. 1st the glasses are from top to bottom too small. Therefore you constantly need to place them in an uncomfortable position. 2. There is no angle adjustment, leading to bending the nose fitting. 3. The style in truth doesn't really matter. They should be made to be used practical. Who cares about the style. I mean I'm not going to be wearing them for fashion as it really is not practical. Just design the frame to work. The main issue on both xreal and rokid is the top to bottoms in ratio to the screen. Rokid has a higher resolution but stupid design that bleeds the bottom through. Xreal is a bit wider from top to bottoms therfore a better view. But both need improvement in the top to bottom.
