I have seen this RF video countless times and I cry every single time. I suppose I am silly like that and that's ok. It's how much I love this song and video. Now you have to watch the continuation of this video/song which is "Here Comes Goodbye". Gary LeVox has such an incredible voice. I Love these guys!!! Great reaction! Thanks for keeping it real!!!
Rascal Flatts definitely has a lot of really good songs but my favorite will always be Bless The Broken Road. You should definitely check that one out! :)
So many people talk shit about country music without actually taking the time to listen to country music. I feel like the only reason country music is a hated genre overall is because it was popular for teenagers to hate on it and that just sort of stuck. I've seen so many people sit down and listen to country music the last few years and basically just instantly fall in love with it. I grew up with country music, I'm 25. And while it's not my favorite genre, it forever holds a special place in my heart and I'm so thankful to see so many getting into it now.
"Here comes goodbye" is somewhat of a sequel to this song. Also may I suggest your react to Thomas Rhett's "Marry me" and "Remember you young", but do them in that order and one after each other as they go together.
“My Wish” and “Stand” are two of my ALL TIME favorite songs by Rascal Flatts. They are such amazing and inspirational songs! No tears 😊. I also recommend ANYTHING by Carrie Underwood. Two of my favorite songs she sings are “Fighter” with Keith Urban and “The Champion” featuring Ludacris. 💕
My Wish is so special. I danced with my son at his wedding & Rascal Flatts was his 1st concert I took him to. He was 4. She didn't tell him she was pregnant before he was killed.
this young lady reminds me every time of my 9yr old when we had to tell her about her dad dying in a wreck. she begged me to make him better since i was a nurse. our 12 yr old just turned to stone. it was 10/15/06 at 3:06pm when he died. i’m tired of the grief anger and crying in silence. i hope every day is my last.
Another band hit the scene at the same time as Rascal Flatts... Emerson Drive. Sadly they didn't get the same airtime on the radio and so didn't get the recognition they deserve. Their song "Memories" needs to be listened to, it is amazing.
There are several songs you should check out! “Concrete Angel” - Martina McBride “Alysa Lies” - Jason Michael Carroll “Temporary Home” - Carrie Underwood “Three Wooden Crosses” - Randy Travis “Skin” - Rascal Flats “The Good Stuff” - Kenny Chesney “Whiskey Lullaby” - Braid Paisley & Allison Krause “Something In The Water” - Carrie Underwood “Go Rest High on That Mountain” - Vince Gill “I Miss My Friend” - Darryl Worley “Paint Me A Birmingham” - Tracy Lawrence “How Do You Get That Lonely” - Blaine Larson Just a few that will get some deep emotional reactions.
One of the best Country band ever!!! You need to listen to all of their music… And Welcome to Country, we are deep people. This is my first time on your channel I like you.
Skin, Ellsworth, Stand, Let It Hurt, etc Rascal Flatts is a rockstar sat making raw, feelsy music! And the videos they make always get me right in the gut-
Oh you gotta do “my wish”! To me it’s my mom singing to me all the hopes and wishes she has for me. It’s sooooo good! Knowing how much you love your boys I know you’ll love this song.
Rascal Flatts was my favorite band for a while in college thanks to my fiance getting my rock-addicted brain introduced to country. Some of their songs are really light-hearted too. If you want a good laugh after hearing a bunch of sad country songs, check out their song "Backwards".
Crying with you again. These country reactions are hitting me in the nostalgia feels. The songs you've done so far are basically my childhood and teenage years. This is the music I was listening to then. I remember when this video came out and a group of us all but sobbing in study hall over it. Plus you keep doing the really sad songs. (This is not a complaint.) If you want to cry more, I recommend Concrete Angel by Martina McBride and Travelin' Soldier by The Chicks. We also need to get you some Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson, if you haven't done them yet but I can't think of any specific songs right now. Another really good one by The Chicks is Not Ready To Make Nice. It's the song they released in response to being "cancelled" before cancel culture was a thing, for speaking out against the Iraq war before that was a thing that was done.
I sang Traveling Soldier At a bar during Karaoke night, on Memorial Day a few years back. Never had people stand up and applaud me after I sang but it most likely was the choice of song they were applauding
Love The Dixie Chicks; however they were not cancelled because they spoke out about the war. They were cancelled because they were in England and said (on stage) that they were ashamed that our president was from Texas!
It's ok. I have seen this video around 100 times and still cry everytime. I love Rascal Flatts. They have a long and wonderful catalog. Great harmonies and the lead singer is one in a million. His vocals r soooo good.
Hey Luke ,it's me again.I wanted to tell you some things about the song unsaid Emily. There isn't a time that I saw this video and haven't cried my eyes out. It's about a boy that decided to make a rock band with his friends but faced the disapproval of his parents. They had a fight and he run away from home. After a while they were going to give a performance at a famous place, but the night before they accidentally got poisoned by junkie food and died, before he came in good terms with his family. Meanwhile he wrote down all of his emotions in that particular song devoted it to her to his mother, cause HER name was EMILY.Please check it out and you won't regret it. Your fun from Greece.
YES! Luke, you definitely, if you want of course lol, should react to this song. "Unsaid Emily" by Julie and the Phantoms, it's actually from a Netflix series.
Rascal Flatts, for sure, is one of my FAVORITE country artists. I could listen to them for days on end. There are other country artists that I could could listen to the same way as well. I honestly like the 1990s-2010s country songs the most. I don't really listen to mainstream country anymore.
Rascal Flatts have these amazing songs that just pull at your heart strings. Then they find some amazing directors and actors that bring these stories to life, and the combination just rips your heart out.
I’m so happy that you listened to Rascal Flatts!!! He is sooooo amazing and talented!!! This is such an emotional roller coaster of a song. If you get that chance definitely listen to Cascada’s version, it’s very dance music like a different tempo but still awesome! If you want more from Rascal Flatts listen to Bless the Broken Road Please Give Shania Twain with Bryan White “From this Moment”
I love your reactions, they are so genuine! If you want a couple more emotion packed Rascal Flatts songs then you should check out "Here Comes Goodbye" and "I'm Moving On", I think they'll definitely tug at your heart strings lol. Another good song is "Riding with Private Malone" by David Ball, it gives me goose bumps every time I hear it, it has a really great story.
Thanks for this surprise Luke, I’m usually hear for BTS but I love all kinds of music and there are a bunch of Rascal Flatts that are great. But especially this tearjerker. Cause the songs not sad enough, we have to watch this movie💔 “My wish” is a personal fav…and “ life is a highway” is one you’ll probably recognize once u hear it
I know it'll likely never ever happened but I would love to see you react to Given. Just because of how open you are with your emotions, & how emotional the songs & lyrics in the anime hit, it'd be soo refreshing to see. Idk, I love the anime & want to spread the emotions it (& the songs) bring out ❤🤗 Love this reaction btw 🥲
Rascal Flatts are such a good band. I think you would really like Life is a Highway because it's just an upbeat song. Also, maybe closer to Christmas, they did an acapella cover of I'll Be Home For Christmas which is one of my favourite Christmas songs
2 of the members of Rascal Flatts are from a town about 40 miles south of me in Ohio. They are amazing. One of my favorite songs is "I Won't Let Go". It is absolutely beautiful!!
"My friend, you are such an amazing person and you bring so much joy into my life. Stay strong, and know that I appreciate you. Take care, my brother."
I have seen this video countless times and I cry every single time.
The first time I heard this song was a cover by a guy named Danny Gokey on American Idol years ago. He had lost his wife to a heart defect after only being married like 5 months. I was UGLY sobbing the whole time lol.
I agree. I fell in love with you and the channel due to your pentatonix and country reactions. Do a lot more country. I can sure give you some in fact i emailed your email with a list.
I never know where to put my suggestions at, so I don't usually comment. I don't know how to email you either, or I could send some suggestions that way if I knew.
Aww, this song reminds me of my early teen years, and yep, it cracked me as well the first time I saw the fucking video. The song itself is heartbreaking but along with the video it destroys you. Rascal Flatts was so underrated. Now they have not outed any new music, sadly. Other recommendation from them is "Here Comes Goodbye". Their general style in theirs songs is very melancholic. EDIT: Regarding you been emotional on the camera, it shows that you are authentic and with a very strong masculinity and I love that. Not many channels do that precisely because of the "shame". But I find it very beautiful when a youtuber does that. It makes you connect and for me personally, it drowns me more to your reactions. Thanks for this reaction!
To me (Lori), a real man shows his feelings. Love your reactions, emotions and laughter. Hey, here's a great one, and it is based on Ronnie Dunn's childhood. The official video of "Believe". Absolutely beautiful song, and his voice is incredible.
I'm a big fan of Vince Gill. He writes his own songs, known for his masterful guitar playing & EVERYONE in Country Music loves him. He's another man with an angelic voice. I have 3 recommendations. 1. "Vince Gill - When I Call Your Name". (VEVO. 13 years ago. Haunting.) 2. Vince Gill - Go Rest High On That Mountain". (VEVO. 13 years ago. A beautiful tribute. It was recorded in the Ryman Auditorium, the original Grand Ol' Opry. He's joined by Patty Loveless & Ricky Scaggs.) 3. "One More Last Chance", Official video. (Fun, fun, fun! Vince is a VERY good amateur golfer. So filming on a golf course was probably a dream come true.) Then, of course, there's Garth Brooks.
Just a note: American Country Music's origins are from Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales. Most, if not all of the surnames you'd find that settled in and all around the Smokey & Appalachian mountains were British & Irish names. So, you have your own people to blame for these amazing, heartfelt songs. I know I do. 😊
Gary's voice isn't traditionally country but it's amazing. Sounds just a great live, and the harmonies!! You should check out Speed and Hillbilly Shoes by Montgomery Gentry. And Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy by Big & Rich
I thought the song was sad enough as a regretful breakup ballad, but the music video really went and kicked it up a notch... There's something about country music that just lends itself well to breakup/heartbreak songs, which I love, but for your sake I hope that Judd recommends something a little happier next time 🙏
Such a great band and wonderful song. Thank God for Judd for leading you down this country journey. Never feel uncomfortable for showing your feelings❤
I think you would love Ray Lamontagne's music - he's an incredible storyteller, in the folk style. Empty, Can I Stay, Lesson Learned - pretty much anything from his earlier albums (Trouble, Till The Sun Turns Black, God Willin' and the Creek Don't Rise) are some of the best story songs you'll ever hear, sung in a voice that is unique and soulful. Please do check out his work!
My gosh, it's been years since I last listened to Rascal Flatts. Thank you, I'll have to add them to my music list again. I don't listen country that much, but Dixie Chicks a group that really resonates with me. Especially songs You were mine and Travelin' Soldier.
A great song by this group that will make you smile and not make you cry is Bless The Broken Road. Since it has been a bit you gave Voiceplay a try you should checkout their cover of Valhalla Calling. It's kind of a sequel to My Mother Told Me
If you want a comedy one from rascal flatts - Backwards. Its from the same album, me and my gang. No video that i know of, but it is a fun blast about all the tropes of country music. If you want to cry more Ellseworth is a good one from the same CD. That was my cross country CD for years. Listen to it start to finish on repeat for 12 hours, sleep on the side of the rode and drive another 15 hours making runs from texas to california 8 times a year on business. 27 hours drive time baby. As always, thank you for being you. It's good to see authenticity. I know you said you still feel weird about that kind of thing, but get used to it. Real respects real in this world. You'll grow and go far exponentially.
OMG, it's been ages since I've heard this song!! It was one of my favourite in ... high school? I listened to it in repeat for hours (I think I discovered it from an AMV??? I dont remember....) Thanks for the nostalgic feeling (now you'll start reacting to Nickelback "Faraway" or Back Street boys "Incomplete" and I'll die) Have you heard "Everyting you want" from Vertical Horizon? It's on the same level as this one
🥺 I bawl EVERY time I hear this song. Please don’t feel weird about showing your emotions. I love seeing all of your videos because everything you share with us is 100% real. (^~^) 💕🦋
You are a special human being. They know how to get us every time! IDK if you did it yet but DAX has a new one called To Be a Man. It's very emotional too, but excellent!
Thank you for this reaction, such a great band and song! Love your emotion and please don’t apologize for feeling what you feel. Others has suggested the song “skin”, another great song. Now, please consider listening to Al Stewart’s “Year of the Cat”, not country but amazing musicianship and story telling. Just not a live version please, pull up the original and listen and enjoy. Thanks for what you do and for sharing your reactions with us. Take care.
There’s a lot of newer country that is a bridge between country and pop. Some people like it, some don’t. I’m not big into Rascal Flatts but this song is on my playlist. The lyrics alone don’t indicate a death. It talks about someone walking away so 🤷🏻♀️ But there are a lot of country songs with emotional twists… -Concrete Angel by Martina McBride -Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll Lots of them.
I haven't listened to this song or watched this music video in years. "What Hurts The Most" is such a good, sad song. The music video is heartbreaking. Glad to see someone recommend Rascal Flatts. They have a good catalogue. I haven't listened to as much country music as I used to during the early 2000's and about the first half of the 2010's. For country music recommendations, I hope that you consider music from amongst the following singers, duos, trios, and groups: "Stay" by Sugarland(another emotional song & music video), other music from Sugarland & the female singer of the group Jennifer Nettles, more music from Rascal Flatts(just watch out if you watch "I Melt" because the song & its music video are cheeky, as you would put it), music from Carrie Underwood(especially songs from her first 3-5 albums), Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride (the song "Concrete Angel", while beautiful, has a chance of making you cry; nonetheless I would recommend it), Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift(since she was originally a country artist), Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Zac Brown Band, The Band Perry(when they used to be country), Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves, Lady A(formerly known as Lady Antebellum), Little Big Town, and Josh Turner. On a note unrelated to country music, one song that I hope you consider reacting to(especially if it's not gonna be hit by copyright takedowns) is The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion. It's a song on the soundtrack of the animated movie "Quest for Camelot". It's so beautiful and well-made.
This and Let It Hurt are my two favourite Rascal Flatts songs. Other country songs I'd recommend: anything by Johnny Cash, but especially: I Won't Back Down; Ghost Riders in the Sky; Hurt; and God's Gonna Cut You Down (also love his cover of Heart of Gold by Neil Young). Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood The Gambler - Kenny Rogers Annie's Song - John Denver If I Die Young - The Band Perry From a Jack to a King - Elvis Presley Green Green Grass of Home - Elvis Presley (though I do personally love Tom Jones' version more) I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry - Elvis Presley Coat of Many Colours - Dolly Parton Jolene - Dolly Parton 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton Crazy - Patsy Cline
While I certainly like all country and especially the songs that tug at the heart srrings, I would recommend Carrie Underwood and Ludacris performing The Champion! A great inspirational song.
Judd’s “not that bad” and yours are obviously very different. But Rascal Flatts is a super talented group with amazing songs. I feel like you need a happier song from them. You should try My Wish for their inspirational, positive songs…or if you want a little giggle to make up for the tears, try Backwards.
Ouuuu Rascal Flatts, I love their song "Rewind" and "Banjo" XD I am not from US but I like to try to listen to other style of music. And for other country artist I would suggest Jordan Davis with "What my world spins around" and "Next thing you know" love those 2 songs.
You should also react to Rascal Flatts' "Life Is A Highway" or "Throw Away Your Mask" from Persona 5 Royal's OST of you haven't done so already. The former is a nostalgic song, the latter is a very good and slightly emotional song

The first time I heard this song was a cover by a guy named Danny Gokey on American Idol years ago. He had lost his wife to a heart defect after only being married like 5 months. I was UGLY sobbing the whole time lol.
A country song that is fun that you should check out is Sold ( The Grundy County Auction Incident) by John Michael Montgomery.
I'm a country fan as well and you should DEFINITELY do more country
God Rascal Flatts was the GOAT back in the day dozens of great songs and stories. Now newer Rascal Flatts we don’t talk about it’s pretty bad Ngl
If you have no emotions, you're not human. If you try to battle emotions, it will slowly kill you. Thank you for being human. 💞
What a beautifully touching reaction!
I still tear up when I hear this song man.
Angelic Voice
Probably my favorite song of all time or close to and not many people react to it! Great job thanks!
Nothing wrong with showing emotion my man, great reaction!
Haunting.)
2. Vince Gill - Go Rest High On That Mountain". (VEVO. 13 years ago. A beautiful tribute. It was recorded in the Ryman Auditorium, the original Grand Ol' Opry. He's joined by Patty Loveless & Ricky Scaggs.)
3. "One More Last Chance", Official video. (Fun, fun, fun! Vince is a VERY good amateur golfer. So filming on a golf course was probably a dream come true.)
Then, of course, there's Garth Brooks.
Your buddy was right: the song by itself won't get ya. The music video will tear your soul out and tear it to shreds.
I love them and their songs including I'm moving on
I think you would love Ray Lamontagne's music - he's an incredible storyteller, in the folk style.
One of the hardest of theirs to watch is Why… Brings a very important message and is one that a lot of people need to hear.
Hands down Rascal Flatts' most emotional song that I've ever heard in my life.
one of my fave songs by RF. Also I have never wanted to hug a stranger in all my life as when I want to give you a hug whenever you cry.
Amo a Rascal Flatts, y esta canción es de mis favoritas! 💜💜
I love that you are emotional! They are sooo good! This song gets me also✌️
My gosh, it's been years since I last listened to Rascal Flatts. Thank you, I'll have to add them to my music list again. I don't listen country that much, but Dixie Chicks a group that really resonates with me. Especially songs You were mine and Travelin' Soldier.
My favorite Rascal Flatts song is “I Won’t Let Go”!
It’s my song for myself and my sister!! ❤
A great song by this group that will make you smile and not make you cry is Bless The Broken Road. Since it has been a bit you gave Voiceplay a try you should checkout their cover of Valhalla Calling. It's kind of a sequel to My Mother Told Me
Here comes goodbye by rascal flatts gets me everytime
Love these guys, have been a fan for years. If you want a RF tear-jerker, soul stealer song then you have to listen to Skin
I started crying before the song started. 😢
Love Rascal Flatts❤️
I dont remember....)
Thanks for the nostalgic feeling (now you'll start reacting to Nickelback "Faraway" or Back Street boys "Incomplete" and I'll die)
Have you heard "Everyting you want" from Vertical Horizon? It's on the same level as this one
🥺 I bawl EVERY time I hear this song.
Please don’t feel weird about showing your emotions. I love seeing all of your videos because everything you share with us is 100% real.
(^~^) 💕🦋
This just got my sub, thanks for being honest with your feelings! This is what I feel in every song!
It talks about someone walking away so 🤷🏻♀️
But there are a lot of country songs with emotional twists…
-Concrete Angel by Martina McBride
-Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll
Lots of them.
You should watch
Five Finger Death punch - wrong side of heaven
& Gone away.
For country music recommendations, I hope that you consider music from amongst the following singers, duos, trios, and groups:
"Stay" by Sugarland(another emotional song & music video), other music from Sugarland & the female singer of the group Jennifer Nettles, more music from Rascal Flatts(just watch out if you watch "I Melt" because the song & its music video are cheeky, as you would put it), music from Carrie Underwood(especially songs from her first 3-5 albums), Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride (the song "Concrete Angel", while beautiful, has a chance of making you cry; nonetheless I would recommend it), Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift(since she was originally a country artist), Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Zac Brown Band, The Band Perry(when they used to be country), Hunter Hayes, Kacey Musgraves, Lady A(formerly known as Lady Antebellum), Little Big Town, and Josh Turner.
You should listen to their song Life is a Highway that is upbeat and fun - no crying in that one, honest
I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching you react to country songs please send me more but can you make a playlist of them cause I can never find any
Chris Stapleton “Fire Away” with the video. That will blow you away, if you haven’t seen it.
This and Let It Hurt are my two favourite Rascal Flatts songs. Other country songs I'd recommend:
anything by Johnny Cash, but especially: I Won't Back Down; Ghost Riders in the Sky; Hurt; and God's Gonna Cut You Down (also love his cover of Heart of Gold by Neil Young).
Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood
The Gambler - Kenny Rogers
Annie's Song - John Denver
If I Die Young - The Band Perry
From a Jack to a King - Elvis Presley
Green Green Grass of Home - Elvis Presley (though I do personally love Tom Jones' version more)
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry - Elvis Presley
Coat of Many Colours - Dolly Parton
Jolene - Dolly Parton
9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
Crazy - Patsy Cline
You should try Rascal Flatts Stand, very positive song. Very inspirational.
If you haven't watched Wait in the Truck by Hardy, you should check it out.
Its a tough one. Im right there with you.
If you have ever seen Disney \Pixar's Cars, you have heard Rascal Flatts without knowing it. They sang Life is a Highway 😁
