Have you ever tried cutting a pipe in narrow partitions or shafts for maintenance purposes? Not much fun - at least until now. Because now there's the KNIPEX TubiX® S 90 31 01, our smallest, brand new pipe cutter: every detail has been optimised for cutting pipes in tight spaces! The first trick of the KNIPEX TubiX® S is its QuickLock one-hand quick fixation: simply push it onto the pipe and the pipe cutter holds itself in the selected position, ready for cutting. Alternatively, the pipe diameter can also be set in advance thanks to a scale - then the TubiX® S can simply be clipped on thanks to its spring-loaded cutting wheel. Second trick: the optimised design of the tool body and rotary knob for a very small cutting circle with the largest possible cutting capacity - there's room in the tightest of huts! Third trick: Thanks to the smooth-running needle bearings, the TubiX® S rotates with particularly low friction when cutting and - as a result - even cuts stainless steel very easily! Thanks to all its tricks, the KNIPEX TubiX® S is not only suitable for tricky repairs, but even for smaller new installations!

Yes, it cuts pipes with Ø 3 - 30 mm (1/8 - 1 1/8") with wall thicknesses up to 2 mm.

I like the form factor of this tool, but I'n not a plumber to work with brass or steel pipes, I mostly work with plastic. I asked because it's description does not mention plastic and I don't want to buy it and use it wrong. Thanks for the answer!
